  1. My information comes from a very reliable source. Drew said himself that he is not being recruited very heavily because of his size and speed. He is 5'10 195 lbs. He runs a 5.2 40. He is leaning more towards baseball, but I'm sure if the right offer came along he would go with football.
  2. I honestly doubt that the guys that are talking so much for Alcoa even play much. So we can't assume that the team is overconfident. I doubt guys like Lindsey, Warren, or Fiegler feel the same way. These guys are just players that are getting the big head because their team is the defending champs. The realy players do it on the field.
  3. The thing about this is....Camden, Riverside, and Adamsville all have something in common. We faced tough competition constantly over ther past 4 years. The seniors on these teams know what its to have to play tough teams each week. I'm not saying this will keep Lewis Co or others from winning, I just think this gives us an advantage. You can't really go by that though. There is no way to tell right now what is going to happen during the season....many things can change by then. It's getting closer by the second....
  4. Maybe he can overcome the size factor. I personally hope he does. I wish him nothing but good luck. I just think that all-around Dustin Lindsey is the best back because he has it all.
  5. I agree, but a D1 full-time runningback has to be big, fast, strong, and the key is durability.
  6. McKenzie.....thanks to Drew Hayes's arm. I think Lake Co can be second in the region because of the playmaking ability of Brandon Springer. I don't know much about Union City but from the looks of it they will be a really tough team. Top 3 will depend on who comes out ready to play when these teams face each other. It is the same way with us in 6-2A with Camden, Riverside, and Lewis Co.
  7. Gaston Miller is 5'5 1/2....152 lbs
  8. He has 43 TDs that prove it......
  9. As a tailback, he won't be able to do the things he has been doing. I think he would be very successful as a punt returner. Size is not as important for them. Look at Dante Hall
  10. I really don't think the refs LOST the game for us. I don't think they did a great job though. We did make some big mistakes. The interceptions killed us. I know USJ will be a good team this year, but its just hard to say they will be able to compete with the teams they will be battling in the region.
  11. Only time will tell. thumb
  12. Last year does not matter. This is a new year, new region, new attitude. I'm not saying they won't be good teams...but you can't go by last year. Does that mean that since Riverside had a bad year that we are guaranteed another one? I don't think so.
  13. I'm not trying to take anything away from Alcoa, I'm just saying that as a whole the West is stronger in 2A.
  14. Well let's look at this for a second. Last year MY Riverside Panthers went 2-8. We played tough teams each week. Your team went what 12-1? You played tough teams every other week. Yes we are 2A but we were definitely not a consistent and strong team. There is a BIG difference between our team last year and what you are going to face each week this year. Might I add USJ will have to do this without Ross, Garrett, Pappis, Long, and Dement. Those guys played MAJOR roles in your success last year. Just take my advice.....you'll see once you get thrown in the middle of Huntingdon, Westview, Milan, and Humboldt. They will show you how much of a difference there is in 1A and 2A football.
  15. The question was East vs West...who will be better? Not how many of the titles will each division win? If you are going to do this right you are going to have to break it down into classifications and decide if East or West is stronger overall. 1A-West 2A-West 3A-West 4A-East 5A-East
  16. That is the FUNNIEST thing I have ever heard!!!!
  17. This is a high school thread....so let's just stick to topic. Complaining about how Tennessee recruits on here is in no way going to change anything. We have no say-so in that and you might as well just deal with it. Just because a couple of players don't get to play at Tennessee you think they are bad recruiters. Look at the facts....Coker #2 back in the Nation.....that is UT material. Let's just stick to high school runningbacks, and since we always break it down into the grand divisions of Tennessee....its easy West-Boo Weathers, Middle-Gaston Miller, East-Dustin Lindsey. Being that those first two would get crushed in the SEC, I would say UT made a good choice.
  18. Although I think Alcoa has the best chance to win it all, they are guaranteed nothing. They are basically the only powerhouse in East TN. Look at the teams in West TN and you'll see where the talent lies. Middle TN has some great teams and when you start dividing them up, sure there will be some that are classified as East TN.
  19. They might not be a pushover, but they won't be a playoff team either. Look at what they lost. There is no way anybody is going to step in and play like the guys they had last year.
  20. That has absolutely nothing to do with this region and what is going to happen next season.
  21. Well how big, strong, and fast are you?
  22. First of all nobody knows who is going to win the Titles. Anything can happen in those games. Second of all, if you go by the overall strength, West would take it in 1A and 2A. Fulton doesn't have 3A in the bag just yet. 4A is not locked in for Maryville either. As for 5A, we all know Riverdale has that taken and they are Middle TN, you can't classify them east or west.
  23. He's never been out of his shack. He just listens to the radio to learn his information.
  24. 1.8 times harder is not going to get them in the playoffs. Its going to take a lot more than that.
  25. 1A-Drew Hayes 2A-Brandon Warren 3A-Ricky Ladd 4A-Graig Cooper 5A-Gaston Miller or Jocques Crawford
