Last yrs team had a 6-9 team player who played a role without having to score. Guys like that are hard to replace in high school. Also had a 6-6 sr who played his role. Remember, there’s only one basketball.

It’s great for the two ADs running from Fairgut, Beerden, and HVA. It sux for the kids who lost a lot of opportunities.

Congrats to those guys-well deserved. I admit I’m more than a little surprised the RT wasn’t named as well. He has been a standout.

I don’t disagree. The group that should be raising cane is the baseball coaches. They have to mow the grass, weed almost everywhere, line the field, drag the field after games, put a tarp on the field if their school is lucky enough to have one, repair mounds, etc. I’d think their supplement is similar to the football and basketball coaches who do a fraction of the work.

Having watched two of my kids play on fake grass and have 3 acl surgeries with a torn meniscus in the remaining knee, screw that fake grass. BTW-there were plenty of other ACL tears among the teammates. So why do we do it? So others can use the field? C’mon! LOL. IMO we go to fake stuff to cut down on maintenance. Coaches are like society. No one wants to mow their own yard let alone a football field and then reline it. We are all lazy So fake grass gets installed instead of directing $$ in hiring.better teachers, and we roll the dice on lifelong damage to teenagers knees. Given where priorities are in todays world, that is no surprise. Eventually the popular kids will go back to grass, and the followers will jump in line to get the real stuff.

Maybe RR, he was a first down machine. Not to take anything away from him, but that backup QB is very talented too. I doubt they have a defensive backup near as talented as the Mich commit.

Alco has another stud qb lined up for next yr.

Alco is currently out “working” murvil to “develop” those “local” kids who show up to play. It is reflected in recent records.

I’ve heard our baseball team got moved out of the best district in the State without our AD even trying to appeal or object. I can’t wait to go watch a big district game with Jeff County. SMH. I guess there will be plenty of available seats. Will the football or basketball teams also be moved to weaker districts/regions?

Yep, a very good team with more coming back than normal. I know of three young fellas whose families might benefit from the Christmas Day garbage service. I hope there is room.

We’ve seen some tough ones RR. I thought ‘21 at our place was winnable until the phantom fumble by big bro. I agree with others. Congrats to this team and staff. They have got an ID back that the opponent has to plan for. That helps. I think this should be a good game.

Congrats to murvils offensive play caller last night. The deep post and throw back were good to see. Big plays help. The little man returning kicks, #3 I think, seems to have awfully good vision when cutting in the open field. Does he ever play the slot?

Like most football fans who pay the 10$ to attend the game Friday night, I sure look forward to seeing the striped guys throw their flags. It’s so exciting. Slowing the game down and stalling any enjoyment fans are experiencing is something they can tell their kids about. #NOT
