  1. I'm shocked that wartburg is winless!! they have quite a few athletes and do some things really well. they have plenty of size and some speed. its just odd that they can't punch through with a win. As usual the boys from Oneida gave us a dead on scouting report. One question to the public, what is the rule about filming a game if you are from another school? I witnessed someone last night with a small recorder filming and giving his thoughts about how both teams were lining up and how the other team was reacting to it (EXAMPLE: Wartburg comes out on 2nd and 7 with split backs and twins left with one wide out to the right, Greenback goes to man coverage and the will steps out week side) Now I have no idea who this guy was with but I saw o&b ask him something and he quit soon after. so I was just wondering? I think matback said it was not legal but he wasjust going off of a wrestling thread on here
  2. from what I understand about it is that warm muscles stretch easier and better than cold muscles. If you don't agree test the theory yourself, get up tomorrow morning and stretch your hamstring in the classic hurdlers position then the next day get up run around the house for about 10 minutes and then do the hurdlers stretch and see witch one you can reach the furthest. I promise you it will be the second one.
  3. From an outsider looking in, I watched Cleveland against Alcoa and yes they lost but Alcoa tricks them once, returns a punt, and gets away with a blatant holding on a huge play that set up the 3rd touchdown. I say that to say this, Cleveland has great athletes all over the field however they don't have a lot of discipline. I have not seen the Owls so I can't give an opinion there. just my 2 cents.
  4. bahahahahahaha I just fell outta my chair RR
  5. smash I'd be willing to wager a little that this might be his 1st post under that name but I highly doubt it is his 1st overall I'll take oneida in this one by at least 2 tds.
  6. Thanks smash I hope we can stay with them either way you boys ort to be able to get a idea about how you stack up with them.
  7. I don't know who you are so I can't answer that question.
  8. AHHHHHH!! well then that explains a whole lot then, I seriously thought that there was only one kid and that he was all over the dang field!! LOL in that case we'll take all 3 then if were to transfer. LOL Hey what can you guys tell us about OS ?
  9. Okay point taken it might be a stretch but then again I might be right, I guess its all just an opinion anyway
  10. I ran into a guy tonight that keeps the stats for OS and has for 20+ years and he allowed that these teams have never met each other in the last 20 years anyhow. What is the opinion of the prognosticators here on the T ? how will this game shakeout?
  11. this is about the dumbest thing I've read on here, I don't care how good a qb is or how strong his arm is he can't throw it from his back, which is where he was on just about every attempt.
  12. They can't lose many, it said somewhere on here that they only had like 3 seniors on the whole flippin team!!
  13. he was an absolute STUUUUUUDDDDD!!!!!!
  14. well I missed the score by 5 points but I'll take the win
  15. Well this one was exactly as advertised!! Great ball game from both squads. Smash you said early in the thread that Oneida was bigger and faster than last year and you would see how tough they were come Friday night, well "extremely" is your answer. Down twice by 14 they could have easily rolled over but they fought back and tied it up both times. The West kid is a stud, I would welcome his transfer with open arms. LOL not recruiting just making a point!! The kicker is a big time prospect huuuge leg. Now for my assessment of the Cherokees. Defensively we had a couple of break downs but for the most part played bigger and stronger than we physically are. the whole rotation of D linemen played huge in the second half after we adjusted to the trap. Brooks Talley, Justin Kuhn and Tanner Miller stepped up big time as a severly undersized linebacking corps, average about 160 lbs but played waaaaaaaaaay bigger than that. The secondary was not tested in the traditional sense of a passing attack but they had to stay awake enough to help in run support and support they did. Eric Anderson that was a huge hit in the OT!!! Offensively props go out to Richard Seymour he is definitely the X factor. Goodson is a very athletic and dangerous qb and proved that last night with both his arm and his feet. The receiving corp is very very balanced with no clear favorite target, which is a good thing because it will be difficult to prepare for. as for the O line way to step up and answer the call. with a couple of starters out they stepped up big and got the job done. Jacob Martin, well done young man!!
  16. well it appears that I only had part of the story, seemingly from someone who only got part of the story. I was told about the transfer and nothing else
  17. Does this involve injury, discipline, or transfer as I mentioned earlier?
  18. mofo you are exactly right. maybe i'm waaaaaay off on the score i'm just going on what I know of this team. 1. MHS put up 31 on Alcoa last year in a loss and #4 is so much better now than he was then it is immeasurable. 2. The O line is the best we've had since 98. 3. Prevo is a year older and upstaged Young(a D1 signee) twice as a frosh. 4. Rebel Ron the 2 that I heard that defected were nephews of an lb that wore #52 and is a year or two younger than you.
  19. She's a good one STARS every time i've been there she has been dead on 50% of the time!!
  20. She's a good one STARS every time i've been there she has been dead on 50% of the time!!
  21. Now don't put words in my mouth I didn't say he would try, I said he would be looking to and I'll stand by my prognostication of 42-10 has anyone else heard of a defection from the MHS football team? I had a friend of a friend call me with some news of a couple of kids transferring to a county school.
  22. As I said, I meant no disrespect to anyone and I certainly do not wish a bus wreck or any other tragic event on anyone, and I'm not saying that Webb is not a good/great football team. What I am saying is Maryville is that much better and given the circumstances of the game 1. Its on a Saturday before college football has even started for the season. i.e. HUGE crowd. 2. It's the second game of a double header at home and you can be absolutely certain that the F5 will be in the stands scouting for the following Saturdays Maryville/Alcoa game. With that being said and although GQ never runs it up on anyone(unless you come to the home side of the field and stomp and chant and spit at our fans, rite redbank?) he will be looking to send a message to the Tornadoes and 42-10 is not running it up. I have no idea how good Blance is. How does he compare to Devrin Young from Bearden? or Bryson from Smyrna?
  23. I've been reading for 6 months about how this one is gonna be a close one, I'm gonna go ahead and say it and I truly mean no disrespect MHS-42 Webb-10
