How'd the Riverdale 7-on-7 go?

I said he was a good high school running back, you said special. I said 10 ypc is not being shut down. If you combine the two games it's 7.86 ypc. I don't see why it's so hard to give the kid credit. Is he better than Patton? No, but he is not bad.

Game 1 he ran 16 times for 97 yards and 3 TD's. Playoffs he went for 13 carries for 131 yards and 2 TD's and 4 catches for 34 yards. You didn't stop him unless 10 yards per carry is the new definition for shutting a kid down? He is a good high school running back. One or two clips can make anyone look like a stud or a dud. Stats came from the paper.

Waverly lost 2 linebackers (#34 and #1). There was a noticeable difference after #34 got hurt last year, and #1 was good for 10-15 tackles a game in the middle. Waverly also lost from their secondary #83, #12, and #3 (#10 became a regular there in the playoffs). The defense has a lot of holes to fill as well. Starting the regular season with Camden will be baptism by fire for the young ones. The good news is the line on both sides basically remains the same, and Palk has had another off-season to keep getting better. I think it will be another successful year, with some growing pains thrown in the first few weeks.

Huge gap in strengths of schedule. I'd consider it an upset if Houston County wins.

Tonight was a good game between CW and Waverly. CW would get ahead by 10 or so, then Waverly would get close. It was a 3 point game with about five minutes to go and CW pulled away at the end. High school officiating is never going to be perfect. Creekwood will be a tough out for anyone. The twins have the ability to score from deep. Edmondson is a good big and they have a couple others who are athletic and can score some as well. Their pg is more athletic than a lot give him credit for. If they get to play CPA, I would anticipate an exciting game.

Dell did not play. He sat at the end of the bench all night, as did the 3rd post Waverly has. It was still an impressive win regardless.

Looks like Montgomery Central beat Camden tonight and Lewis beat East Hickman.

I would say the Edmondson kid at Creekwood is one of the best players in the district. Camden had a freshman last year that could score it pretty well last year, but I do not know his name.

I'm assuming Camden won since they were playing Big Sandy, correct?

Waverly 98 Fairview 40. Starters played MAYBE 16 minutes.

Hayden is a great kid. I don't think I have ever heard a bad word about him.

I don't know who CW starts, but at the game last night Waverly started a 6'4 kid and a 6'5 kid. The second one being a sophomore. Unless this kid at CW is just massive Waverly will be fine on the boards.I look forward to the games. The coach at CW seems to get the most out his guys.

Waverly beat Houston County 96 to 60 tonight I believe.
