ridgeway is 10x the team that melrose is... i am surprised that HC won to a degree...i think ridgeways coach is their achilles heel...Counce was most likely the difference in this game.. ridgeways coach is too high on himself...its cost them before and it will cost them again What will cost them is not punting the football..which may very well be a reflection of the issue you are concerned with. Although puzzled by your surprise of the outcome..we Henry Countians have always viewed Ridgeway as one the best coached/ disciplined teams!

I think Rossview is the new top dog in Clarksville regardless of the outcome next week against Henry County! Way to go Hawks with your big win over Stratford! Also..congrats on having a road named for the school which provides we Henry Countians the fastest route through Clarksville to Nashville! P.S. it would be most helpful if you could get that 2-3 miles 4 lanes from the Shell Station to I-24!

KWC...Ridgeway is a very talented football team...how do they compare to East who nearly got the best of White Station tonite and how do they compare to Melrose?

Senator..the Ridgeway QB is legit!...no doubt about that! Too..Red Warrior is/was correct...he was not a 30 point man tonite in Paris! Once the pressure got applied, he became somewhat erractic and inaccurate. But, a 22 point effort (8 with 17 seconds left on clock) is a great effort against the Patriots Defense...especially on the road in Paris!

Couldn't agree more Tandem! Hurd's injury has nothing to do with number of carries "last year!" If memory serves me correctly, he was injured in the game against Station Camp that was played in 2013..and not 2012!Furthermore..congrats on the big win...I for one (and was in the minority)am/was not surprised in the least!

Well..that is an interesting take for sure but that was not the same team the Jalen Hurd ran wild with last year..we knew that..the Beech faithful knew that..the Bucs' coaching staff knew that. Unfortunately, the chat room geeks and the Volquest posters hold to the belief that one running back made a good team a state championship team!Realistically, with the best player in the state, the Bucs were only able to beat a very good (yet unranked) Station Camp by 3 points. What then were they expected to do against Henry Co. with him? Further, keep in mind that both the Patriots & Bucs coaching staffs are very close friends and talk on a weekly basis. Apparently, this outcome was foreseen even back in the Summer..and became more predictable following the Oakland/Beech scrimmage. Nonetheless, I still view the Bucs as a very good football team...one we are likely to see again in November! Lastly, neither the Patriots nor the Bucs have, man for man/position by position, the talent that the Ridgeway Roadrunners have!!...they without a doubt are the most talented team on the Patriots' schedule...and if we win tonight...we will have beaten a much better football team!

KWC; I am curious as to why you (any many other posters across the state) feel the need to add a subnote next to the "win over Beech" explaining Beech was missing their running back Jalen Hurd...as if this would have changed the outcome of the game? I am curious, do people actually believe that his participation (although the best player we've ever competed against) would have changed the outcome of that game? Explain your position....I'm extremely curious...

GWave1....I can assure you that if Gallatin plays like Henry Co. did offensively...the Green Wave will lose this game at Beech....in other words... the Wave can't afford 4 turnovers and expect to win....that being said, I'm excited to hear that the Wave is back on the upswing! Truthfully, I'd much rather see this game at Shackle Island Stadium this week as to have to watch the Northwest Vikings entertain my Patriots!...Tandem, I do believe that your Bucs will likewise improve from week to week over the next several weeks. Further, we can assume that the winner of this game will more than likely either get or pay a visit to Henry County in November....I also trust that the atmosphere will be similar to what is was this past week at Beech! What a great place to visit and watch a game! Lastly, it is comforting to know the respect and admoration each of our 3 programs have for one another. The level of play is expected to high at all times, the respect among the schools is evident and it will be fun to see this season play out! Best of luck to both the Green Wave and the Bucs.....this one should be a great one! P.S. GWave1...I wish I could say that Springfield was/is our weakest football representative in District 10-AAA....but I would be misleading you all....continue to watch the scoreboards over the next few weeks to affirm what I am trying to explain.....Is it possible for us to workout some kind of district team trade??
