Sad thing is two really good teams are going to be left out of regions this year. Those teams go in just about every other district in single A.

I agree, they have played extremely well despite the presence of an inside game this year. Hate that a senior had to finish without playing. They took community to triple overtime, lost to Mtcs by 1, lost to eagleville by 2. Those are some tough loses for any team much less a bunch of freshmen.

P Please get your facts straight. There was no girl recruited to Moore country. In fact the girl you are referring to was going to a small Christian school at the time. Her parents wanted her to get away from some of the issues and drama in Manchester. After spending a year at that school, her parents wanted her to return to public school without returning to the same group of friends at Coffee co. That's why she enrolled at Moore.

If those girls at MC and the coach sticks around Huntland is not going to want any piece of them in a few years. Hats off to Huntland this year. I guess you expected this but myself and many others did not. I do not know the coach very well but he is getting a lot out of those girls. Hopefully we will get one more shot at you this year but beating a team like Forrest three times in one year is a tall order. Also congrats to MTCS for giving Community one district loss this year. I for one have enjoyed watching all the 9A teams this year and wish everyone success in regions.

What act?

Forrest has a hard time when teams can defend their best player in straight up man defense. Especially noticed they don't like getting trapped off high screens. I don't think Forrest can even finish second unless some teams have se huge fall outs. They are actually 5th in district right now losing tie breaker to Moore and don't they still have to play community?

What will final district rankings look like going into the district tournament. Who makes region?

There are a lot of match up issues in 9 A this year. Moore won both games against Forrest and took Community to triple overtime then lose to Huntland twice. Forrest beats MTCS twice. First is community without a question after that it is based on match ups in my opinion. To me Forrest is about fifth in the district in my mind.

What do you mean and are you serious? They are starting 4 freshmen every game and still have a winning season going. They have beaten some really good teams this year. While they have under performed in a few games, dosent mean the sky is falling in Lynchburg. Right now they are not playing good ball but I think Slatten can right the ship and have them ready for the district tourney. Remember this is the same team that had community beat before fouling on a rebound with 1 second left. When these girls play their role they are tough to beat. Don't think any of the top teams would want to play Moore the first round of district tourney. Right now Huntland has a good chance of playing them again!

Still in the building. Hornets dominated for sure. Don't understand how they beat Fayettville by 1 and 4, get killed by community and then control the whole game against MC. 9A is crazy this year. I do know that MC better find some post play fast. i wonder what Huntland's shooting percentage was and how bad they out rebounded MC. Not giving up on MC but they have some major issues. Top rebounder shouldn't be chasing Golden around the top of the key for sure.

Who wins Moore co or Huntland? Major implications could even come down to winning margin later on in the season. Right now in 9A there is Community then four others fighting it out.

Agreed, Moore played community in a close triple OT game last night. Single A ball is going to be tight for the next couple of years. It's all going to come down to who stays healthy and peaks at the right time.

Ok good point, but 9a has three teams that have played community to a 10 point ballgame. Last night community wins over Moore in triple OT. My point is that 7a is not clearly the best district anymore. 9a has several teams that can compete with anyone is 7A.

If I am not mistaken didn't clarkrange lose to Pickett and pickett lost to 9A Community. Several 9a teams have taken Community to the wire so I don't think it is as clear cut as you guys are making it out.

Lets clear something up I never said they were horrible just inconsistent. In my opinion that is due to how much they shoot the three. Huntland can beat a lot of good teams but I don't think they are in the top three or four in the district.

The best player is pierce then after that I just see about 5 girls that it just really depends on the night. Pierce has the best supporting cast so it's really hard to tell.
