Ooltewah beats Bradley last night . It should have been more but everyone knows when you go to Bradley the refs always exercise their will on the outcome of the game. Pace of the game way to fast for those zebras. Bradley has a deep bench and plays very hard. They were missing Copeland and Stovall. Does anyone know if Stovall is going to play this year? Ooltewah was also missing a starting guard who was out due to injury. Owls play Rhea friday night at the Barn. I have not heard much about Rhea. Anyone??

and if they get beat you simply say they should have spent $201k....hahah. I do not mind the recruiting for those teams I just always wondered if local kids that can play transfer out to play somewhere else.

Congrats to Ooltewah on a great season. Seniors came together and played with sportsmanship and pride. Proud of the staff and how they handled themselves all year. Always wish it would have lasted one more game but you played hard till the final second and never quit. Wish you all the best in the future. Its hard for any coach to take over that late and implement any system..you just said get a new coach now so he can have fall workouts. Spring practice and summer workouts. It make a huge difference..I know results were not what you wanted but if you think if Fitzgerald only had three wins this year you would call for his head to. I saw the Powell/ Knox central game on comcast on demand..how does central stack up against the rest of the district3? Also Powell kicker was not consistent is he still their starter?

Did a player from Powell get thrown out of the AC game? Was it a key player?

Bkwvols, first Congrats to Shelbyville for making the playoffs. Quality wins in a tough division. Welcome to Ooltewah. The Owls also are not very big. They rely on skill positions and speed to make big plays. Offense is no huddle fast paced . Quick passes and quick toss running. Owls can score from anywhere on the field because of fast recievers and backs. Good placekicker . Owls have around 24 seniors. Defense has been solid most of the year. Should be a war.

Congrats to the Canes . District Champs in only third year and first year of home field. Canes have gotten better each week of this year. Last year they found ways to shoot themselves in the foot. I am not worried about next year or class aa.aaa. that is for another day. Pre season you were picked fourth or worse in the district so you have already proved the experts wrong. Should beat Brainerd this week since you beat them in the regular season. Win and move on is motto of any playoff team. Go Canes

Great game Owls. Offense was clicking the whole game. 28 ran better than he has all year. Also kicking game was perfect.No missed field goals or extra points. Walker played as hard as they could but Owls just have to much talent. Agree with Goose, Owls can match up with any team and if play to potential will roll. Losses this year were in large part of shooting ourself in the foot. Turnovers. Playoffs at home so defend the NEST. Congrats Coaches and staff.

Totally agree, good points. As everyone knows turnovers will be key but interceptions have really cost us. Also some time managment in the second half needs to improve. There have been a few games that we have had the upper hand but keep the other team in the game way later than they should have been. Have your foot on the neck of your opponent you stomp it,do not let up.. Owls have as good of a chance as anyone. Go out and take it.

Rhea 38 -0 Soddy 42-14 Cleveland 23-14 . Loss to Bradley by 2 points this year as opposed to a not as close as the score 28-12 loss last. Those teams worse or Owls better? Those three games are huge when you know they are district games. Loosing to three very good 6a teams this year was frustrating because they outplayed two of those teams and should have won. Yes East ridge and Brainerd are not as tough as traveling to Franklin and Maplewood but this years E. Hamilton beat Tyner so that was a higher quality victory especially if E. Ham. wins their district. Scoring was a big issue last year along with passing . This year scores are . Owls 41, 45 ,23,31,26,26,42,39,38. Your point is good in that all the wins do not translate to victories in the playoffs. Team two years ago won nine games and are eliminated first round... Owls will need to step it up to make a run in the playoffs.

Your point is a good one in the fact the Canes have lost games in everyway and more than I could imagine. They have always been the underdog and for them to be the favorite is a whole new mental spin. I know Howard is in a bad way so the Canes need to come out and expose their weakness. Canes have so much to play for they should be even more excited this week than last. Interview with Gatewood shows he knows how important the game is.

Big Big win over Red Bank friday. Great come back in the fourth qtr. Canes cannot let down now and stumble against Howard. Howard has whipped the canes the last two years and some payback should be put on them. If the Canes happen to loose and Red Bank and East Ridge win the Canes could be done for the year. Let,s face it if they are the only victory for Howard then they do not deserve to go to the playoffs. GO CANES

Signal has gone from the penthouse to the outhouse in one year. If they really care about their reputation they will repair it starting this next game. oh please, nobody said anyone was a bad kid on the whole team. The original comment was about a blown call by the refs and a little ribbing about the qb. Chad V. does not need anymore people defending his play by throwing the rest of the team under the bus. I have been looking forward to seeing him throw it all over and set passing records as much as anyone. We all want to see a Div 1 qb show espnu that we play great football in Tennessee. So as not to single out anyone anymore the entire offense for the Raiders has under achieved the entire year. Ooltewah put up 39 points on Bradley and Cleveland is shut out the next week .

Sounds like the refs again were keeping Voytek and Cleveland in the game as long as they could. Bradley is a more solid team with many playmakers to overcome than one guy who can throw deep deep incompletions. Congrats to Bradley and good luck next week.

Totally agree Goose. I have to dog on our fans tonight. I think they were there for homecoming and band. I know Rhea was not the best of teams but even in the first half you could hear a pin drop. Even last week against Bradley the players said after the game there was no energy coming from the stands. I think the players could help , Announcer , BAND , cheerleaders. I do not get it. We are a good team that has lost two close games. The close ones are sometimes won by having the home field advantage. As of now the nest is like playing on a neutral field at best. Team is working to hard for us as fans not to at least show up get off our butt and give them vocal enthusiastic support. 38 - 0 Come on man. Go OWLS
