Good news for Owls. Creech is back. He adds big weapon on offense but I always thought his biggest strenght is defense. Defensive backs BACK UP. Dont let anyone cross your face. Owls put it all together this week and send our friend Coach Greene home with another loss.

Speed will be the main difference. Owls should have it covered on all sides of the ball. Homecoming week for owls and Rhea has had two week to prepare. If the Owls loose focus and not prepare it will be a long frustrating night. To much talent on the Owls side. 27 - 9

Tyner has owned the Canes the last two years. Tyner got them to play the games they wanted, smashmouth running. Canes have fallen into the trap of letting Tyner impose their will, and they beat them physically as well. Canes will have to protect the football like in the Hixson game. If they turn it over anywhere near the times they did against E. Ridge it will be a blowout. Big Big game for Canes. Playoffs and winning season on the line. I like the Canes . 23- 18

Is this not the same Central that lost to East Hanilton? The same E. Hamilton that lost to Ooltewah 42 -14. Be careful what you wish for Pounders. I bet you were biting your tongue big time Goose. Owls obviously have to play a complete game against Bradley to win. They will need to step up on both sides of the ball. Turnovers , Flags, have to be eliminated . However Bradley better be on their game as well or the Owls will send them home with a third loss. Both teams have really good athletes so it should be a very entertaining game. Owls at home may be the difference. Owls 26 - 21

Owls gave great effort. They talked all week about last years game and how bad they wanted to win this game. Defense made big play after big play. First play from scrimmage Owls loose the ball and also loose Creech the starting reciever/safety. Do not know his status for next week. Defense then held Trojans out of endzone time after time. I think there was at least three times they were in the red zone and were held for zero points. Does Soddy not have a field goal kicker? #32 for Soddy is a real weapon and played hurt as well. Super effort by him. Owls #11 and #33 pick six were the real back breakers on Soddy. #5 for Owls showed how speed is a real issue for Soddy. Owls on both sides of the ball were half step quicker. Note to both teams is don't schedule each other for homecoming.

Owls still need to find rhythm on offense. They tend to pass several plays in a row and then run several in a row. Team has the athletes to do both and hopefully put it all together friday. Trojans just came back and beat Central in overtime. They are playing their best right now. Central was beaten by East Hamilton 25 - 13. Owls beat East Hamilton 41- 14. Simply going on those scores Owls should win. Soddy and Ooltewah always play each other tough and this will be no different this year. GO OWLS

East Hamilton is coming off bye week and have few players back from injury. ER. has now lost several in a row. They may have lost some swagger. I like the Canes in this one

no doubt they have tough teams to play no one argues that. One undeniable truth is you can loose them all and are still in the playoffs.A team that looses a few at the beginning can coast to the end with no worries . Teams in other divisions don't have this security.

Good game for the Owls all around.They should have won and took care of business. DEFENSE was very good against the run.Er. had negative 8 rushing yards.They put constant pressure on the Qb- don't know how many sacks but there were many.Broodier did a good job for his first start.no interceptions .We expect good things from him. Er. Is a very undisciplined team and feel they will loose many more games.Refs don't know what holding is in this county.Amazing the lack of calls.

Owls have to learn to put teams away when they have the chance. Last game they had their foot on the other teams neck and let them up. Don't leave it up to the refs to play that role of king maker. Defense after a great start to the year has lost some of its edge. They are not doing enough in their strategy to make the other teams change theirs. I think the team needs something to shake things up. They seem a little bored and stressed. The game is fun and practices should have both tough hard core coaching and team building exercises. I know winning cures most ills on teams. I like the Owls in this one.

Owls realize they are not as good as they thought after siegel. TURNOVERS have got to be eliminated. Mcminn always plays tough at home . Referees always play to big a role in the game there..Defense of Owls wins this one. OWLS. 29 Tribe. 13

Congrats stars.you are a very good team.super fast.hope you win state..owls ...not enough time to type all my thoughts on the game so I will leave it with this..as bad as it was you never quit and played with class and sportsmanship.Go to work this week extra hard because its a big district game on the road.

Ooltewah is averaging 36 points per game. Defense is averaging giving up 11 points per game. Three turnovers against Cleveland made a huge impact on the score. One was a pick 6.Two fumbles lost were in the fourth qtr. Raiders also had a big goal line stand in the third qtr. Qb. for Owls had over three hundred yards passing against East Hamilton. #28 Had over one hundred yards rushing against Brainerd. Most Owl teams in the past have rushing yards and very few passing. This year there is more of a balance .

East Hamilton played the second half of the Central game with more confidence and desire than I have ever seen. I think the pride you have playing a home game really kicked in . Canes will have to play just as physical against Bradley. Bradley has many offensice weapons and will run them off the field if it becomes a shootout. Canes will win if they tackle like friday and rush the ball on a consistent basis. Bradley had better not overlook this one.

Great win for the Owls. Now other teams have to respect the running game. Team showed hey could dig deep after getting behind early and come back. Defense was very good holding Cleveland 6 for 25 for 61 yards passing. Refs were very bad but it is what we have come to expect. 15 flags on owls and 19 for Clevland. I will take Voytik on my team any day but the Owls showed you have to have a lot more than a good qb to beat them. Have to clean up flags and turnovers. I do not think anyone got hurt , thank goodness.

Huge game for both teams. Winner gets the inside track to playoffs in 5A. Last year was overtime and I would not be surprised to see it again. I know qb for Cleveland is very good and any team would take him in a second. He has proven that he can not carry the team on his own and he needs many other players to help him out. Owls have looked good on defense for two weeks against running teams. Whole new challenge against Cleveland offense. Owls offense has many weapons and can score on any play putting even more pressure on the Raiders on again off again defense. Great fans and atmosphere should be a good one. Owls win a close one.

Like the canes in this one. First home game and big crowd to cheer them on. Canes played two teams with superior speed and got out of their game. I think both these teams play more power run and the Canes line finally gets rolling. Canes 21-16

Field is painted , lights , flags, ready to go. East Hamiltons juniors and seniors will play their first and only ( HOME ) game at the nest. I know they love East Hamilton but they grew up in middle school dreaming of playing at the nest . This is their chance to pull it off. Ooltewah juniors and seniors this their chance to shine for the BIG RED OWLS. Leave it all on the field boys...

good luck to Rhea and Coach Greene. Brainerd will run out of gas from lack of players, not desire..if you play at Brainerd make sure to get a fish sandwich..good eatin

the Backyard Brawl... Both teams have to eliminate the yellow hanky. Elimination of the sloppy play will win. Cliche but throw out the records and history. Going to be fun for us fans..
