Man oh man, I never like calling a game a “must win” but I’m calling this one a “must win” for the Devils. Our confidence is shaken for sure. Our 3-0 start was good but those three teams have combined for 1 win between the three of them. It’s Homecoming in Portland so the atmosphere should be electric. This region is wide open and WH has to show up and control the LOS. If we can run it, I like our chances. If we have to rely on the pass, well, we’ll be behind the 8 ball. Come on BDP!!

I love how this thread has generated a stir between the fans. I can't wait for kickoff tomorrow night! I still believe this is a must win for BDP if they want to make the playoffs with the region being so difficult. We have to get off to a fast start!

We can all agree that WH hasn’t been tested this season. I worry if we have to put the ball in the air, it might not go well. WH has to establish the line of scrimmage and get the early lead! The home crowd will be on their side. By looking across the region, this is a huge game for both teams, especially the Devils. Creekwood and Portland look good and Heritage has surprised me so starting 0-1 would be bad for WH. The schedule is certainly much tougher starting with the Jackets so each game is magnified. Hoping for a great game!

I keep hearing HL is much improved over the previous few years. Any truth?? WH must be ready to play coming off their bye week. After Friday, the schedule gets much more difficult from here on out. BDP needs to get to 3-0.

Heritage has had a good start but I don’t see them beating Springfield. Springfield 24-10.

Homecoming 2019 has arrived in BDP country. Glencliff was down 66-0 at the half last night to Lipscomb Academy. WH has to play sharp and locked in and should move to 2-0 heading into the bye week. Congrats Coach Hamilton on his first career win as a head coach! The first of many! BDP!!

IF SC loses tonight, they're staring at 0-10. Lets go BDP!!! Disappointed in the lack of convo by Bison fans. I guess the silence says a lot.

Eers has never thought highly of BDP. I was wondering when he was going to come back around. WH needs a fast start to the season and beating SC would be a great step in the right direction. The Bison, NO S, haven’t been good in quite awhile. I agree this maybe the only game on their schedule they can win so I assume they’ll be ready. I still see WH out executing and winning the game. Hopefully the rain holds off. BDP!!

The Bison have struggled in recent years and can’t afford to lose to the lower class Devils. However, I like BDP in this one 21-17. WH is hungry and needs to fast start to their season! If Anderson and Neufield have a big night, watch out! Thoughts?

I heard WH didn’t play well at all Friday. Still got a couple of weeks to get it right. Hoping for a better showing Tuesday night against Goodpasture.

How’d BDP look tonight at Smith County? I know they host Goodpasture Tuesday.

Alright BDP fans, I want to hear your win total predictions for the upcoming season. I’m going 4-6. Picking up Station Camp and Watertown is an upgrade over Sycamore and East Robertson.

I heard White House defeated Smith County at Watertown last Friday. They lost to Trousdale Last Friday missing 2 players but beat them yesterday at Portland by 20. White House lost their two best players to graduation so don’t know what to make of them right now.

How’d spring practice finish up?

White House opens spring practice this Thursday, I don't think they have any spring scrimmages scheduled due to the later start date.

I believe BDP has their lift-a-thon tomorrow night. It’ll be interesting to see the turnout for the boys. I’ve heard coach has made some changes/improvements in the locker room and weight room since taking over as well. First chance to see the new staff at work. Looking forward to a great night.

Well, WHHS has definitely gone through some changes the past 10 years. The stability of the coaching staff has been something the program has had to overcome outside of Porter and Hamilton. I don’t think they’re as far away as you make think Loco. They do play in a tough region where 6-4 doesn’t get you in the playoffs as was the case last season. I think Hamilton will make the right hire. It may not be a quick hire as you want it to be but it’ll be the right hire. Worst thing you can do is make a quick one and the coach stays a year and is out. However, I sure hope an experienced coach is hire to help the overall young staff. I trust the admin and coach to make the best hire possible. I hope BDP can get back to the days where 2-3 losses is painful and stings.

I believe BDP will be better than some think. The turnover may be a good thing for all involved. Changes sting for some early on but long term. Blue Devil football will be fine. I think WH finishes in the top 4 and makes the playoffs. Their non-region schedule did get tougher with Station Camp and Watertown replacing East Robertson and Sycamore. Any staff additions?

A new year brings a new coach roaming the sidelines. Coach Porter has been the HC since the late 80s and is no longer in charge. Ryan Hamilton is now the man tasked with leading BDP back to the promise land. I hope he does well and I believe he will lead this program to new heights. BDP baby! Go Devils. Thoughts?

Any updates on the hiring of additional staff?

White House has dropped East Robertson and Sycamore and picked up Watertown and Station Camp. The schedule will be tougher in 2019 than this past year. As I said, the DC is extremely crucial not only to this upcoming season but to the tenure of Hamilton. I could see Hamilton taking his time to make sure he hires the right person. I hear that all the coaches will be gone, etc. but none of that really matters if he makes the wrong hire. I believe he will make the best hire for him, the staff, kids, and program in general. Although some things are still up in the air, I am excited about the future of BDP football. To the alumni that are concerned, roll your sleeves and help out. BDP!!

I assume Coach Hamilton will remain as the OC even wearing the head coach hat?? His next hire is vital in my opinion. He needs an experienced coach that can handle the defense under his watch. It will be very interesting to see what teaching positions become available for him to use. From my knowledge, Porter, Honeycutt, and Jackson will all remain as part of the faculty in the Fall. If so, teaching spots are slim. I wish nothing but the best for all involved during this time of change.
