I had no idea what Fayetteville would be like. I figured they had athletes and would be good.

Talent develop isn’t about the ability you start with. It’s about improving the skill set of a player to their particular ceiling. For some kids their ceiling may be low, for example a backup that can help you survive a few games without an injured player. Some fans seem to have the attitude “We don’t have championship, elite athletes so screw it. We will be good in 6 years when the pee wee kids get here.” That’s not what winning programs do.

Valid points. Numbers have always been small in the program. Also, I do not believe the Middle School program has the quality talent development it used to.

I think Watertown will win the region unless East Robertson’s offense and Westmoreland’s defense show up to play the Purple Tigers in Cross Plains.

This game will definitely be a learning experience for a youthful Jacket team. At this point it’s about trying to get better. Best case scenario for us is a first round home playoff game. Worst case, no playoffs. As for hiding, I’ll give you the forfeit. Make out a certificate and put it in the trophy case. I congratulate the Bees on their success over the past five or so years.

Sounds like you guys played a quality opponent pretty well. I believe Friendship was a good game for us. Hopefully we gained some experience and will be better for it. I’m sure the same could be said for Watertown. Truthfully, I believe you guys are still the favorites for our region.

As I stated several days ago, I’m not in to supplying opponents bulletin board material. Just my opinion there are more than two wins on the schedule, if we can stay reasonably healthy. One thing I know about young teams, they get better. I have confidence that our coaches will get our kids better. That’s fine if others don’t. That’s just my opinion.

Friendship isn’t a bad team. Are we semi final material? No I don’t see that at all this year. Talent just isn’t there. We are still going to win more than two games. Book it.

If Portland wins by a lot Westmoreland is in for a long year. I don’t see that happening.

I saw Portland is running the spread now. I’m assuming Westmoreland is still wing-t and 2 yards and a cloud of dust. Westmoreland always has an excellent defense. I predict Portland a few-Westmoreland less.

Our fans need to back away from the ledge. We may not be in the semifinals, or maybe even second round but we should make the playoffs. I mean, I hope we can eek out a win against Harpeth and Whites Creek. Also, what is this Blake moving up business? Up where? Administration?
