  1. Time to get back to business this week! Go Raiders!!
  2. That is a great idea. We do something like this in our leadership meetings. This is very good for the boys because it is one thing for them to see their parents and adults do it but to see their peers doing it is very motivational.
  3. They played Rhea the first week after the ruling so they started it and we joined the next week.
  4. Very true! In Soddy Daisy last year, one single person complained about the praying over the intercom at the start of the game and after that it was ban. But it backfired on that person because the students came together and had their prayer on the field before the game and welcomed anyone else to join them. It was very uplifting to see almost everyone in the stands from both sides empty out onto the field.
  5. We do the same at Cleveland. As well as most of the schools around us! Good to know we are not the only ones!
  6. This is one of the prime reasons I have so much respect for teachers and coaches. Over the years, coaches and teachers have been put under more and more limitations. It seems as though the freedom of speech and freedom of religion doesn't apply if you are praying to God. From what I read this was not organized by the coaches themselves but by the students; therefore, they did follow the separatioin of church and state. Pray on coaches....pray on!
  7. Good job last night boys. Improving every game....that's all we can ask.
  8. Little late....WV lost but they were much better than I expected.
  9. "One of CHS DB's returned an INT for a td agaist the owls and his fellow team mate got a flag for unnecassary roughness and was proud of it. THAT IS A COACHING ISSUE and classless." Please explain how this is a coaching issue??
  10. The TEAM as a whole can't afford another loss. I read another one of your post that says a coach can only be as good as the players on the field. A coaching staff can only prepare their players for games they can not go out and do it for them. We have a lot of talented players but we have not been very good as a team this year: i.e. dropped passes, not blocking, interceptions, fumbles, penalties. Any and everything that could go wrong has and it is at the fault of the whole team, not just the kids and not just the coaches. Hopefully our coaches and boys can get it together and salvage something out of this year. Go Raiders!
  11. Sending Prayers from Cleveland. What a horrible accident!
  12. The Versus Network circus has been gone since the Alcoa game. They will be back for the McMinn and Bradley games.
  13. Good luck tonight Raiders!! Hope everyone has an injury-free game!
  14. This has been the story for both of our losses. Hopefully our boys can get it together tomorrow.
  15. Might happen, might not....but did you really just put "omg"?!
  16. Dont know if it will be the same as last year but normally there is all the normal consession food plus chic-fil-a and smoothie king....but dont quote me on that.
  17. We have a talented group of guys. All of the above is pretty spot on. I will add #10 - Stricklin to the list as well. The past 2 games we have showed alot of promise aside from the 1st half of the Knox Cathlic game. As long as we can have a good week of practice and come out with alot of intensity, then we are a hard group to deal with. Both sides of the ball are strong but I will say that our receivers do need to improve.
  18. That would have been great, if it were an option.
  19. Hopefully our first win of the season but it really depends on how much intensity our boys bring to the table. Maybe the amount of cardio they get today will help motivate them.
  20. Its a sumus symbol. It means we are 1 in Latin.
  21. Actually you asked a question...maybe the lack comprehension is on you. This is not as bad of a situation as everyone thinks. If we lose to Alcoa, so what....we are expected to lose right? and If we win, we have taken down a giant.
