  1. I'm not fallin' for that mess, ole man. Grider ain't got no balls. All he's shootin' is blanks. And I don't never have to pay nothin' to git in that Beene man's stadium.
  2. Congratulations to the Pirates ! That was certainly an exciting way to end the regular season ! It is truly amazing to see what you guys are able to accomplish year after year. Good luck in playoffs. If I come to the speedway, can I shoot the cannon?
  3. Howard will give you a good workout, but it ain't gonna be close in the end.
  4. News reports said the judge was going to make him attend alternative school. That's the whole reason he was looking to transfer someplace he could play football.
  5. You're right about that. If something like this happened at Signal, the South Pitt posters would be engaged in a full on circle jerk, and I would be defending Signal. But I'm also fairly certain that if Signal had taken a case like this to Chilly in advance and asked if the player was eligible, the answer would have been a resounding NO (after he stopped laughing). Since the T$$AA hopes to post the playoff brackets by 10am central time, if Chilly is going to revisit this issue, he needs to do it before then. If Vic ain't got a phone call by 10am tomorrow, he can probably breath a big sigh of relief; and, this whole issue will just become fodder for future CoachT arguments. People looking at this from afar think the whole thing stinks to high heaven, though. In reference to the Chester County incident, Chilly said, “If a student-athlete receives some kind of long-term disciplinary action that would make them ineligible to compete for a period of time, you can’t transfer to another school to become eligible,†Childress said. “Just like you can’t transfer to another school to become academically eligible." I think the South Pitt guys are splitting hairs on this one. What's worse? Getting expelled by a school board or being prohibited from enrolling by a judge? The end result is the same, and the T$$AA should be consistent in how they enforce their rules.
  6. Hope they waited the full 12 months to move back. c. If a student has been ruled eligible as a result of a change of residence, and the parents or guardian return to the former residence before the student has been enrolled in the new school for one complete school year (or twelve months if the transfer occurred during the school year), the student will be ineligible for twelve months from his/her last participation date;
  7. I was just going by what was in the paper. Not sure Chilly is really going to care who imposed the disciplinary action. d. If a student has satisfied all other requirements for eligibility but was under discipline at his/her former school, the student shall be ineligible at the new school for twelve months or until the disciplinary charges have been removed, whichever is less. The point is that he was under disciplinary action that prohibited him from playing football at his former school, so he moves 10 miles to play football in another state. It just don't look good.
  8. Y'all gonna hang a 100 on 'em tonight, Captain? No reason to take your frustrations out on them poor Christian boys tonight. They got nothing to do with this.
  9. I doubt they went through every one of the transfer eligibility rules. I suspect the convo went something like, Vic: Bernie, we have this kid that transferred to South Pitt, but has pending charges against him in Alabama. Would the pending charges affect his eligibility? Bernie: Did he have a bonafide change of address to South Pittsburg. Vic: Yea. He moved into that house down by the park. A buddy of mine even mows the grass for them. Want a picture? Bernie: Nah. That's okay. The T$$AA ain't gonna get involve in anything having to do with lawyers and courtrooms. The bonafide change of address thing might be an issue if anybody decides to dig into it, but I think the biggest vulnerability lies with the disciplinary action of the Jackson County School Board.
  10. I think that Wiedmer man, who works for that Hargis man, was tryin' to help you fellers out with this mess, but all he did wuz shed more light on how this mess all went down. http://www.timesfreepress.com/news/sports/columns/story/2016/oct/28/wiedmer-mcqueen-case-southern-small-town-perf/394800/ "... coach Vic Grider, who had no idea who McQueen was until the start of the football season, when Dylan and his mother appeared at the coach’s office door, asking for a fresh start because the arrest had caused the Jackson County school system to move him to an alternative school, which gave him no chance to play football." "...the gifted McQueen is banned from playing for Scottsboro High but is scoring touchdowns left and right just across the state line at South Pitt." Transferring so one can avoid disciplinary action and continue to play football ain't gonna sit to good with that Childress boy (who I don't like so much, by the way)
  11. That kind of surprised me, too. The boosters really dropped the ball on that one.
  12. Unfortunately, we don't have affordable housing close to the park or a booster-run job placement service. You are correct, sir. Like true pirates, by hook or by crook, South Pitt will continue to win Every..Single..Year.
  13. I'm glad he is getting some positive support from the community. Sounds like he needs it. But I doubt he would be getting this level of support if he weren't a stud athlete. My only beef is that he should not be eligible to play football at South Pitt.
  14. I believe the charges are kidnapping and burglary in the 1st degree, not "breaking and entering". Eating a biscuit in the car? Really? Vic should have avoided this situation like the plague, but he was blinded by the lightening. All you South Pitt hosers love to give everybody else crap, then act like yours don't stink. If you're gonna dish it out, you better be able to take it when Karma bites you in the but.
  15. Yea. Tommy Layne and Howie Sompayrac were behind that, and they waited until he had played enough games to knock us out of the playoffs. I heard Vic was stirring the pot too, but I never could get proof. I know for a fact about Tommy and Howie, though. I suspect maybe the same motives here. Maybe somebody at North Jackson doesn't like Vic. LOL I heard there would not be any court action until after baseball season, then the judge in Alabama decides to crack the whip. If he is declared ineligible, how many games did he play in, and what would that mean for South Pitt's playoff bid?
  16. He did the same to us, then changed his mind. Maybe he didn't know the family was maintaining a residence in Jackson County when they claimed the new residence in South Pittsburg. Or maybe he didn't realize that the Jackson County School Board had taken disciplinary action. Maybe he will change his mind. Wouldn't be the first time, Maybe he won't.
  17. After the way you hosers ragged on us about an ineligible player, you're dumber than I thought you were, if you think I'm gonna back off on this one.
  18. How about this one? Does being ordered into an alternative school qualify as disciplinary action? d. If a student has satisfied all other requirements for eligibility but was under discipline at his/her former school, the student shall be ineligible at the new school for twelve months or until the disciplinary charges have been removed, whichever is less.
  19. You don't pay attention very well, do you? From the T$$AA By-Laws: Bona Fide Change of Residence – A move from one community to another that justifies a change of schools. Where a family continues to maintain a previous residence for the residential purposes of that family or any of its members, the move is not one that justifies a change of schools for purposes of the TSSAA Bylaws. P.S. I've seen that address and photo before.
  20. He was given an opportunity to continue his education in an alternative school in Alabama.
  21. I'm just curious how he is going to live in Jackson County with his mother if she has already moved to South Pittsburg.
