  1. Must be true if it is on the inside cover instead of the centerfold.
  2. I ain't been kicked out of one, but I've snuck out to get away from the pOlice. Does that count?
  3. I hear'd there used to be some hoser on here named Cascade11 that wuz the biggest redneck of em all.
  4. As for rednecks, Snoball and Seven get my vote. Snoball is the redhead.
  5. Informal round robin format on three different fields. Spectators and teams rotating around. The main field has a fence and stands, but the other two fields don't.
  6. Looks like the latest edition of Just Busted.
  7. Foozballman, if you are connected to the team, you know that this is being dealt with by both programs and appropriate authorities. Although I support freedom of speech and have a pretty thick skin, this is a serious matter. This is no longer the appropriate forum to discuss this issue. There will be plenty of opportunities to bash Signal in the future, and we have given you plenty of ammo. That is fine by me, but I have to agree with Wingy. It is time to move on. I respectfully ask the Signal posters and my other CoachT buddies not to respond to anymore posts on this subject.
  8. Congratulations to your son, and best of luck on the job search. Is you from Sequatchie or Marion?
  9. Snoball, some things just can't be defended.
  10. Has you got the video of the Soddy coach punching the Signal player in the scrimmage 2 years ago?
  11. Based upon this incident and the injury to a spectator on one of the practice fields, I suspect the T$$AA will enact venue regulations for informal contests that match their regs for games. Probably a good idea, looking back on these two incidents. Unfortunately, strict requirements for scrimmages and these types of competitions will increase the costs for schools to scrimmage and will restrict large 7 on 7's to venues like the Maryville College event.
  12. Ain't seen you in a while, bratt. Figgered somethin like this would wake you up. I would have expected a little more vitriol, though. Don't know anybody that has ambulances at practice, but should be at all competitions, including scrimmages. Don't know how it works in this screwed-up county of ours, but I suspect we have to pay to get the ambulance there. Suspect in small communities, the ambulance crew is happy to come hangout for free to get a good seat. Guess we will be finding out.
  13. The ambulance is a good idea. Hopefully, we are learning as our program grows.
  14. I'm just a fan and booster. I don't think it should be a tournament. But that is JMO, and my opinion don't count for much.
  15. From the little I saw yesterday, Chubb should have some impressive interception stats by the end of the year. His closing speed on a ball in the air is impressive. I would worry about the passing game though. Hope your QB does good, but I'm not sure he has enough arm strength and accuracy for SP to be a real threat through the air.
  16. I can see the point of 7 on 7 scrimmages and practices, but I don't like the concept of 7 on 7 competition. Some people like it, but I think it takes too much away from the game of football. Don't like arena football either. In spite of all of that, I too would like to see a South Pitt / North Jackson game.
  17. Don't know where or if all of the scores will be posted. Although winning is important in any competition, I really wish there was some way these 7 on 7's, scrimmages, and jamborees could be more about the practice than the competition. JMO. I thought Bradley Central, North Jackson, Soddy,Signal, and Ridgeland all had their moments where things were clicking. South Pitt also looked suprisingly good, given that passing is not really their style of football. North Jackson vs. South Pitt would be a good game.
  18. At the risk of irritating some of my friends, I agree entirely that no one should be inside the fence during any competitions, except participants and official personel. I hope Signal Mountain or the T$$AA will institute such a policy to cover scrimmages and these types of events. It could have been enforced on the main field, where we were playing, but I don't know how it could have been enforced on the two practice fields, where there are no stands or fences. This would have been a bad enough brawl, even without the adult involvement, but that involvement makes the incident that much more unseemly. Honestly, Coach Price isn't worried about offending any parents or boosters. I hope he will take this opportunity to limit access to the field during any competitions. I suspect he don't like having them there either. I don't know why these two teams hate each other so much, but it seems to get worse every time we take the field against each other. I believe the players truly despise, disrespect, and actually dislike each other. Both teams are looking for a fight when they take the field, and the spectators have come to expect that it is going to happen. Lots of blame to go around. In full pads, with appropriate officiating, and in an appropriate venue, this could be a good game between two very talented and spirited opponents. I wouldn't mind seeing Signal and Soddy play in the regular season. I've kind of changed my mind on the jamboree thing. I believe there will be enough eyes watching this event (School administration,T$$AA, referees, and media) to avoid a brawl. It could be good practice for both teams in learning to control their testosterone and emotions. Any displays of unsportsmanship will be clearly visible and should be dealt with appropriately. I will say that I won't be driving the TrollMobile, with it's Signal Mountain regalia to the Soddy Jamboree. Can't afford a new paint job.
  19. The chicken is fine. I think we are still in the mascot dead period 'till August. Don't think he wiil be at the jamboree either. He don't have the kind of spurs required of chickens in Soddy Daisy.
  20. We'll send the bus for ya. You still in Hemlock?
  21. Cause the best always wind up finding each other somewhere along the way. NC2, we will be ready when that day comes.
