  1. You think he's kidding but he's not. Hogan is a champion QB.
  2. Man, that's a tall order for these boys. The girls' golf team is a good one to aspire to. Consecutive state championships in year 1 and 2. Volleyball makes three for the girls of SMHS. These boys have a good chance of being number four!
  3. For a minute there, I had a painful flashback to TC = Trousdale County. My pulse raced and my blood pressure spiked. I'll have to remember that TC = Trinity Christian.
  4. I've got to go pic my seat. It'll probably be too late when I get back here tonight to post because of the victory post-game dinner at Guthrie's, so I'll go ahead now and say to all my Bucs friends: It was good to have you on the mountain. Great game. You've got a great team. Best of luck to you next year!
  5. You're obviously new to CoachT. We're in the minority here. The Few. The Proud. The Eagles!
  6. Na. He just aint 2 smart. He knows Bucs r 2 classy to assault the mascot. Right BEchi?
  7. Somebody pulled his chain again . . . He's hoping for an early Christmas present. Go TCA!
  8. Yes and no. It's not on a main road and several miles off the highway. Turn left onto Maryland when you get to the top of the mountain (before the redlight). Go up and around (about 1/4 mile) and turn left on Timberlinks. Take Timberlinks out to Nolan Elementary and turn left on Sam Powell Trail. We'll leave the lights on for ya.
  9. Foul! Ouch. That guy should be shooting free throws or the football equivelent, maybe having a ten-second head start toward the goal line with the ball! lol
  10. Thanks. You have a pretty good picture of his tight ship and I understand what you're saying about an expensive private school. I'll just add two more thoughts: 1) our kids are atuned to the "tight ship" and have come to expect tough rules - and they might not be quite as punitive as you describe - but they're tough. 2) I've been around coach enough to have seen his other side - that of a teacher and administrator. He's pretty savvy and knows how to manuver off the field too. If he ever did end up at a school like you describe, he could adjust as needed if it were part of his expectations and in his best interest. Go Eagles!
  11. From your post, one can assume the Bucs eliminated your team. We're not taking the "poor bucs" for granted.
  12. A quick not to my SP friends - As we drove through Marion County today on the way to Thanksgiving with the family, my player son started talking again about his experience with SP the last two years and about how he hopes we can always play and be friendly rivals. Smartly put, he acknowledged that one year they'll woop us and the next year, we'll wooop them, but the next year, they'll probably woop us again because "we're both that good." I agreed.
  13. It would have to be the train/air horns. (Beheading the mascot and players taunting fans is pretty bad too, but I think that's limited to the scarce games that TC looses.)
  14. The Eagles are off to a great preseason already. It looks like it's going to be a GREAT year!
  15. Signal Mountain's student section may not be the best yet, but with three state championships and hopefully four within the first three years of existence, you know the student section will be there too. Go Eagles!
  16. Maybe, but do they still leave after the girls' game like they did when I was there in the mid 80s?
  17. Sorry, CB. I gave you credit for a funny post (#211 of Can Pirates get Gold Ball)) that rlh actually posted. I saw your "?". No wonder.

  18. What makes you think, like he does maybe, that he has "total" control at SM? We may be a little smarter than you think. But the chemistry and combination is definitely working and we're glad to have him.
  19. Nuff turkey and everything else that's making you dellusional.
