I have been following Marion Baseball for a long time and this is one of the youngest teams they have fielded. They are not very deep on pitching and those tournaments really showed their weakness having to save pitching for Monday and Tuesday district games. With that said, this is by far not a Marion team of the past but 1st year Coach Long has them peaking and believing at the right time. Marion starts several freshmen and sophomores. And South Pittsburg is a team that has a chance to win it I believe. Solid line up from top to bottom with speed and power and 4 legit pitchers. The Toney Kid is a prospect. They are a team with lots of seniors and juniors. The only thing that may keep them from winning is experience at this level. Their coaching is suspect as well. Good luck to all teams.

Yes, a win would be a great boost to a very young Marion team. If they win they could win six or seven games and yes make the playoffs.

I will do that, I know they think they have a real team this year.

If this is the same Summers kid I saw this summer in camp, he has some real potential. Good feet and good arm. But that is just passing, i dont know about the rest of his game.

I am just going to disagree with you on this Ambassader as you have disagreed with me. You are going to set there and tell me that all of your players are living with moma and daddy from the pitt and not traveling north across the state line. There are a lot of cars with Alabama tags in the parking areas could be teachers i guess oh well this game is not going to happen I will let it go

I dont think pitts would have faired as well as traintrack or trainwreck thinks. North Jackson would have killed anyone on your schedule over the past ten years. pitts dont wont to play North jackson because after all the losing to the cheifs, pitts kids would just stay in alabama instead of coming north to play at pitts.

Bledsoe is to quick for Grundy. Grundy is big but man they are slow. Bledsoe should have no problems with Grundy, but you never know that is why you play the games.

Better be ready, cant overlook the pounders. They are big and they do have some speed with two D1 prospects. QB not to bad either. Pitts is going to have to get over their loss a quick as possibe and move on.

after looking at their schedule, they are bound for a 9-1 or 10-0 season depending on the outcome of Sequatchie Bledsoe game.. I still like Bledsoe

I think both teams better be concerning themselves with this week but to answer your question, Blesdsoe. I think Bledsoe will finish the season undefeated. You said it yourself in your post, Bledsoe has a good passing and running attack which makes it hard to just focus on stopping one or the other. Sequatchie has very little passing game and what they do have it is not very complicated. Good luck to both teams and I hope you guys go far in the playoffs

I think the Bryant boy, I think that is his name, will do fine up there on the mtn. One thing for him remember, as in any sport or profession, you are only as good as what you surrround yourself with.

As everyone knows, there is a lot of football left to be played. I have seen Boyd, Signal, and pitts play this year and Boyd is probably better than their ranking and I think they will only get better. Signal and pitts and this point have to be the best two teams in their division. It is early and anything can happen.
