Stephen Stansell is a junior at McMinn county, and very worthy of being on an all east tennessee team. He started as a freshman but missed last year because of a broken neck. He is a very good defender and with a rocket leg. He is also gettin some D1 interest as a kicker in football

McMinn doesn't play a bunker style defense..against farragut they actually had several counter-attacks because everybody wasn't down in the box.

Oglesby, Wiggins and Wattad all played for the same AAU team...If you saw them play then there should be no doubt who the best of the three is...It's Oglesby, and it's not even close. I haven't seen Maurice Miller play so i can't comment on him

Louisville is lookin at Trace too. I don't have his exact stats but i'm pretty sure he had more yards than both Sterling and Marshall, more touchdowns and i better average per carry, despite running behind the smaller line. I'm sure TribeFan has his stats if he would just look on this thread sometime. And he had 160 yards or so vs Sevier County in the first round whoever asked about that

Honestly, i think Trace McDermott is better than both of them, but he's not playin now. But, i think both Ooltewah and Farragut have bigger and better lines than McMinn too. According to the Knox paper, Trace had more rush yards and more per carry than Sterling, not to mention Trace missed more than half the Oak Ridge and Soddy Daisy games..

Well our players said that Sevier came out to start the game playin dirty, grabbin things they shouldn't in the piles and stuff like that...so they retaliated is my guess They also said that they came out and started talkin trash in warmups before the game started...but maybe they are makin all of this up who knows...either way good luck friday

Ok, i didn't see any sucker punches and i had not heard of any. and somebody please tell me how McMinn was bein cocky before the game...Nigel was mad because it looked like they had stopped Sevier on the goal line and they didn't get the call. Sevier was the better team but McMinn did indeed play horrible and still had chances to get back into the game...There was a pass interference call on the drive where Sevier scored last that was very questionable, i thought the ball was uncatchable but maybe i cant see. And i'm not so sure that Watson(i think that was who it was) didn't fumble a ball through the end zone on a score of his where he dove Either way, Sevier was the better team Friday and they won....and that's that

Too many turnovers. The qb for Sevier is very quick and shifty and played a good game. The holding call on the long run by Trace in the 4th was the end for us...its a shame cause it was a great run, too.. Man ya'lls field has a huge slant in the middle of it

You're right kinda...he has to go to a junior college or somethin from what i hear because he wont qualify, so because of that he isn't a "commitment" And yes that is right so don't argue. But he sounds like a nice player, i had heard a little bit before this, but i wasn't aware that Auburn had also offered..

5'10, closer to 190...he's a senior and in know some D1 colleges are lookin at him but i'm not real sure what schools. I have heard a few schools but i'm not completely sure and i know how people go crazy if i say a school and they don't think he could play there...

I think McMinn wins...the Gold Angels will be makin some serious noise in the stands to get the team goin!

Add his stats vs Bradley to that...Somewhere around 226 yards on 21 carries and 4 touchdowns. This kid is good. He is a very powerful runner. I am surprised you have never heard of him. Now i just have to wait and see who is gonna say that he is the only guy McMinn has and that anybody can run for that much when they get it every play

After watchin the game vs Bradley, I sure hope McMinn finds a way to get Matt Cox the ball more on offense

I think Trace is gonna play both ways in the playoff game...a huge plus for the defense..

Glad to see McMinn back into the playoffs, i hope they make the second round. They are really lookin forward to having a chance to play Ooltewah again

McDermott deserves consideration, very strong and fast back, breaks a lot of tackles. Marshall from Ooltewah and Sterling from Farragut are very good backs also. Marshall is almost impossible to tackle in the open field. I can't comment on much else, because i haven't seen any others play.

If Devon doesn't underthrow Matt Cox on that 4th down in the 4th quarter, that game doesn't go into overtime. Trace and Devon didn't have their best games, but they won and i'm sure they will take the win. Trace had a long run to open up the game(77 yards) and ended up with pretty good yardage in the 160's, but i still don't think it was one of his better games.

It wasn't his ankle, and he could have played more but i think they wanted to rest him and not chance his injury getting worse. I think the game will be close, not sure who wins yet. I hear Nigel might get to play this week, probably not a lot but as good as he played earlier in the season we will take every down we can get from him.

I agree, Matthews was huge in the game. Devon Johnson also had a big game, 110 yards on 10 carries at Qb and a little over 100 passing. I thought the Defense stepped up tonight at key times. McMinn has a good chance to win out, the game vs WB is huge and will be a tough game.

The key to this game is not Trace, it is the passing game. They must get it going early or they will stack the box on Trace. Devon has got to get some passes in early, hopefully to Tyler Cobb, who has began to play well lately. The fullbacks ran well last week and that will definetly be needed this week. I hear Nigel might be back this week, that is a big MIGHT. I think you may see some more option this week also.

yeah do you even go to school around here? The kid that got beat up(who by the way is 18 and has graduated from HS) is the one who got all of it started, and then he tries to file for battery! How bout that, and adult filing for battery by a 16 year old...he didn't even beat him that badly anyways, it could've been worse...also, i dont think its assault, its self defense when the adult made the first hit back to the game, i think McMinn will finally win another game, and hopefully go on a little streak.
