How's it going to shake out this year. Who does each have returning and who are some new faces that may have an impact for their teams this year. This district is very tough and has had some good runs over the last few years, can they keep it up this year?

If C-Range doesn't win it, there is something terribly wrong. They lost, well, I cant think of anyone right off that had a significant role. Their best pitcher in Beaty, district co-MVP catcher in Norris, up coming pitcher in Parker, SS/outfielder Dixon, and on and on. They should be solid at almost every position. Good luck C-Range, should be a great season!

I did read the entire post, but failed to see why the post was on a baseball thread where this dad would probably not see it. If you wanted to get your point, just figured you would post under the sport where this happen. Oh well, post on!

Hard to me to say, not been in the area too long, not sure what key players each school has returning. MCM would be my front runner, but with a new coach, I don't know. Do you know how many starters each has returning. DC always has a good program and so does Upperman, but I think their coach stepped down too. I had also heard that one the LA coaches (assist) had went to SC (Coach Bush), not sure if that's 100% correct though.

Weak schedule? We beat Upperman, DC, and Cannon. Let's see you how many region teams you beat? We got in with those wins, not our non-district wins. OS was the only team we played a class lower than us. Come on, man, give credit were it's due.

That's only cause you had Milan. No Milan...no wins!!! Yes we lost to the U but we also beat them pretty good the first game. For the record, I do believe we finished higher in the region than SC and the U!

Not hard to beat YAI!!! York was much improved this year and will keep improving. Keep us out of your downplays of the U.

Why would they blast them? It wasn't to avoid Alcoa, heck, everyone in that Region would love the opportunity to move away the State Champs...lol. It was just more logical to play in the Upper Cumberland region. York was the only team in the proposed region in a central time zone and the travel wasn't much different by moving considering the time difference.

FB Classification (3A): Approved 3A with only change being Alvin C. York and McNairy Central changes

York only lost 3 seniors, only 1 seen significant playing time, but he was also our best hitter, which is going to be a hard spot to fill. One of the others was a relief pitcher. We have 6 seniors (5 returning starters) this year so thinking they may have a decent season. They had just lost for so many years, they seemed for forget how to finish the game and win. We did have a much better season last year under the new coaching staff and have added 2 more to that staff. Time will tell on how they develop and finish. .

Our athletic director better be all over it!! We are the only team in the new region in a different time zone with 7 teams, the UC region only has 6 teams, looks like it would work better to stay where we are.

What about the chant after a "bad call" where the student body chanted at the refs "Bull Sh*t". Not sure who is in charge there the adults or the students? All our schools have pep clubs that do chants and such but never anything like that especially where is could be heard across the field. Basketball won't be any diferent I'm afraid.

Congrats on the win. You all came ready to play. Made adjustments from last game. A lot of respect for Coach Wright, but this team wasn't ready for tonight. Players gotta play, but can't pound up the middle al night if it's not there.
