I noticed 95% were picking Union City over Cloudland. 3 years ago a highly ranked team from West Tennessee barely survived at the buzzer against a District 1 team. The next two years a highly ranked team from West Tennessee lost in the first round. Cloudland's posts are much better than folks seem to be giving them credit for. Guards are steady and can shoot. Would not surprise me if they win going away.

If this passes across the state, it doesn't mean students can no longer play AAU. It means if they transfer to a school where their AAU coach is a coach at that school then they have to sit out a year even if they move their residence. If both proposals pass, the first one is useless because if high school coaches are not allowed to coach AAU then an athlete would never transfer to a school where a coach there is involved in AAU. The proposal was made because AAU coaches who also coach in high school are allowed to spend more time with players from other schools than they can their own players. And it is believed that many coaches used this platform to influence AAU players to come to their school which is a violation of the recruiting rule.

An official can know rules. Anyone can. To call a technical foul on a coach for saying "that's a foul" while standing in the coach's box in the fourth quarter of a state championship game proves that a lot of people know rules but they don't know the game.

She is a good hire and will do a great job. And we are elated that it was not Coach Buchanan.

Cloudland should be very good from the east next year. Had a great young team this year that could have easily eliminated North Greene if just a few things had gone differently. They have all 5 starters back and the top subs as well as an excellent incoming freshman group. They should be the top team from District 1 and Region 1.

officials allowed a very physical game. advantage cloudland. especially when the team ahead is attempting to take time off the clock and hand checks were ignored. 2 NG starters had 4 fouls the entire 4th period and were on the bench until late which also possibly aided the comeback. sounds like officiating kept the visitors in it if anything.
