  1. What was the final score of the first game?
  2. I'll pick Dresden in a mild upset.
  3. This used to be a bigger rivalry in the past but pretty one sided in recent years. Because of early season excitement and a strong home crowd, Humboldt keeps this one close at the begining but in the end it will be Coach Morris's Bulldogs with the victory
  4. Humboldt has played pretty well in their scrimmages, jamboree and opening game. They have some really nice young talent and a pretty solid team. I just don't see them beating the Bulldogs. Should be close at first but Milan takes this one.
  5. Very good crowd tonight. I think Charlie's memorial had a lot to do with it.
  6. Hats off to the Bulldogs. You could tell that they were a little rusty but most teams are in their first game. I was very impressed with Caleb Appleton. If he can kick all year like he did tonight than that will be a tremendous help in determining field position for the Dawgs as well as making field goals.
  7. I don't think that Moore deserves 1st team honors and it would be a strech to give him a place on the 2nd team considering the competition. I was just informing UT fans about the ESPN selections. I would take Cobb over Moore any day.
  8. ESPN came out with their All SEC team today. Their 2 recievers were Alshon Jeffery from SC and Julio Jones from AL. They did create a 12th position on offense called All Purpose and Randall Cobb earned that honor. No player from TN was selected although Denarius Moore was considered. Congrats to Randall!!
  9. Congrats to the Pirates on another gold ball. You deserved it. I expected a closer game but it was just SP's day. Also, congrats to JB on a successful season.
  10. Should be a GREAT game but i got to pull for SP.
  11. Yeah Milan should be the team to beat the next 2 years in West TN. A lot of young players returning with experience. GP 28-7 in first half, Milan 20-7 in second half. Turnovers were the key in the victory. Didn't PC turn it over 7 times last week? GP also had more size than Milan, especially on the D line. They earned the victory and I hope they can have the same success against Alcoa.
  12. GP deserved the win and a trip to Cookville. Good luck against Alcoa!
  13. The GP boys are huge! Milan has made some mistakes but dont count the dogs out just yet!
  14. It might bring a tear to my eye when we kick the stuffing out of GP, because their fans are so nice. Lol. We really do appreciate your hospitality. Not many of our competitors schools would be so courteous. Thanks for your suggestions on restaurants and hotels. Should be a good and close game and hopefully injury free. Good luck to both teams. Go Dawgs!!!
  15. Season stats are deceptive when it comes to a Qb's rushing yards. I'll gladly take -68 rushing and 1,400 passing from a first year sophomore starter on a team that likes to run the ball. He compiled a lot of negative yardage against Gibson Co. After the game was in hand, he was left out there to experiment with the shotgun. Bad snap after bad snap led to his bad stats. Not making excuses (every team can make this excuse concerning stats)but everyone knows that Caleb is not Milan's primary rusher. He is mobile enough. The reason we think that we can hold GP from opening up holes is because our defense has prevented it from happening all year. I know GP is not like any team we have faced this year but they are not supposed to be. That's why we are both in the semis. 2 great teams doing battle for a trip to Cookville.
  16. I havent seen Goodpasture play since our win in '08 either. A balanced offense is hard to defend but i think that Milan has a great defense that is capable of making necessary adjustments during a game. You are right that Goodpasture will be hard to beat and I also wish good luck to both teams.
  17. The last time we played, our Seniors were Sophomores too. Calm down, Coach Morris is not relying on you to elaborate on your ammo. Milan will be well prepared!
  18. Having to replace all 11 starters on offense and 6 on defense from a state runner-up team can be considered a rebuilding year.
  19. I absolutely agree. And yes, every town has one or more.
