  1. In the match following OHS and Bradley Central, the Owls won 18-25, 25-13 and 25-22. I have to admit, in game 3, I thought we were only going to 15 and when ND finally got a 2 point separation at 18-16, I thought it was over. Fortunately we were going to 25! This was a solid match with some great points throughout. Both teams had a handful of unforced errors in each game but they seemed to offset each other. There were several great digs on both sides. Ooltewah had an all-around team effort with Higdon setting up some nice kills by Cotter, Gatewood and Kelley. Also, the 2 seniors Robbs and Wulf did a nice job at the net with some nice kills and blocks. The team had strong defensive support by Smith and Peigen, who both came ready to play. Stavrum from ND pounded the ball as usual and Partridge had several big kills on the left side. As usual, Strozak's all over play was more than solid and Cowart did a nice job geting the hitters the ball. Looking forward to the rematch next Tuesday. Nice job girls Also, here's a link to article: http://www.chattanoogan.com/articles/article_91778.asp
  2. Game scores were: OHS 25-12, 23-25, 25-15 and 25-18. Here's a link to this match from the Cleveland paper: http://www.clevelandbanner.com/NF/omf/dail...orts_story.html?[rkey=0061735+[cr=gdn
  3. Did this match not happen? As many posters as there are from the area, somebody ought to know something if it took place?
  4. The match scheduled for this afternoon (8/25) will be played at a later date (TBD).
  5. Thanks for the additional info. No doubt Grace has an experienced group with some solid setting!
  6. Nice start. Sounds like that Lyons girl is dominating the middle!!
  7. BE, thanks for all the info. I specifically got on here to see if anyone had posted results for this particular match. Nice summary of stats. Didn't know you had it in ya' Hitting %'s??
  8. I wanted to say here that we are all hoping for a quick recovery for Jen! Looks like GPS did well tonight but it just won't be the same watching them play without her on the court. Hurry back, Jen!
  9. I'm assuming you are typing up the results of Match #3, as I am typing this. A bit of a give away with your lead-in but I am anxious to see how the match went!!
  10. GPS beat Ooltewah 20-25 / 26-24 / 25-20 / 25-18. Good match all around with the total point difference, in 4 games = 9 points. Baylor beat Ooltewah 25-12 / 22-25 / 27-25 / 14-25 / 15-11. Another great match with the total point differential, in 5 games = 5 Baylor and GPS each defeated Boyd in 3 straight.
  11. PM, great jog again, as usual. One thing I noticed was in the OHS vs. Cookeville the 3rd game score should be flopped, with Cville leading as time ran out. Also, I considered the OHS match with Siegel a tie since we didn't really get to finish
  12. It seems you have this "conspiracy" thing going on whenever I ask a question.
  13. So tell us more. As I recall from last year, you know them well. By the way and I don't mean any harm by this but how is "Culleoka" pronounced?
  14. Speaking of Chatt area Vball.... Ooltewah and Bradley Central scrimmaged tonight with the outcome in OHS's favor 3-1. I had not seen Bradley prior but have to admit they had a little more height than I expected.
  15. I believe it's called "Six Degrees" of separation!
  16. Go to this link http://www.chattanoogan.com/articles/article_90985.asp to see a recap of Chatt area Vball. GLJ, can you get this up under the "Vball Articles" area?
  17. In looking at the schedule posted on TSSAA and CoachT, the only difference I see is the Brentwood match on 8/25 which has been cancelled and I believe the match with OHS (on that same date) is now at ER.
  18. REMINDER: I've noticed quite a few teams now have their schedules up on the TSSAA site, how about posting on CoachT, too? If you follow a team (or play on a team), take the initiative and put up their schedule. It's really not that difficult and CoachT is very generous about helping (as I can attest) if you make a mistake(s). I truly believe this is one way to improve Vball popularity. Once you get your schedule posted, it's reall easy to come back in and post the results (simply, games won / lost) as the season progresses. There will be alot of talk on here about matches as they occur (which is great) but it would be nice to look at a team and see their results throughout the season. I am now climbing down from my soap box. (Also, I realized, I need to put up another post, so KYD doesn't pass me).
  19. PM, or anyone else for that matter, do you know who was doing the primary setting for ER? I saw somewhere else, someone said Laura's sister but I had heard awhile back she might not want to set. I don't believe she was setting at the Choo-Choo team camp.
  20. PageMan, again as usual, thanks for all of the info. Just one quicky, it would appear to me that ER, although having lost a couple of matches, is already playing quite a bit better than 10 days ago.
  21. Yes, IV please keep us posted on what happens. It was good seeing you at the ER camp and hope to see you at the Bwood Jamboree!
  22. I'm just waiting for Clifford to chime in.
  23. Obviously some posts have been pulled (before I got to see them anyway) but I concur with GLJ, nice job Digs on biting your tongue! Also, as far as calling lines (and especially complaining about it) you can always tell who has or has not done it. In this case Digs has and I guarantee you Brat has not!
