  1. And from earlier in the day/thread...prayers are with your son BigSwo....hope everything goes well for him. Hopefully we wont be over there much longer and you wont have to worry too much. Also I hated to read of your prior loss. Icant imagine anything tougher to go through. Thoughts and prayers with you and your family
  2. Hope for a quick recovery for #34. Hate to see anyone get hurt and from what little we saw of him live today it was easy to see he is a great player.
  3. Congrats to JB on a great season, I know it did not end like you wanted it to but there are a lot of teams who would like to claim at least a silver ball plus, if I don't miss my guess, I believe JB will be back here again next year. Now to the Pirates: OUTSTANDING!!!!! First, great job by Coach Grider and staff. Coach Wilson also did a great job getting the D ready to play. I don't think we give the coaches enough credit. Yes we have talent, but talent alone does not typically win championships. Our boys are well coached and coach Grider and staff deserve a ton of credit. I can't say anything about Raquis that has not already been said. He is truly an amazing talent and great person. You deserve all the accolades you receive. Oline and D line did great. Going to miss watching Jakoby, Wordlaw, Earvin, and Wilson do work up front. Great job guys. Congrats to Coltin "Stonewall" Blevins on the defensive mvp award. Kam Cunningham, Karell Hutchins, and many others also had great games on D. I could go on and on about Millard and Chubb and many others but my post is getting very long. Great team effort guys! You finished your business. Congratulations, we are all very proud of you!
  4. Just saying we should be there barring injury. We should be there until the Freshmen on this team graduates. After that we may be out of it for a few years. Are you of the opinion SP will not be the state rep from the east bracket next year? If so, who do you presume will represent the east?
  5. I think JB will have something to say about you being there next year but we will be there regardless.
  6. Also to all the UC posters....it is unfortunate that you lost in the first round this year. A rematch would have been nice. We will continue to be here year in and year out waiting for you if you think you might ever make it back
  7. Good luck Pirates! I have been reading the thread all week and I tend to agree with the posters who have predicted the game to be in the 42-21 range with SP the victor. Entertaining reading on here all week. Stinks that this is the last game of the year.
  8. This uc poster needs to change his name to ucdidNOTdoitagain...or maybe I need to change my name to spdiditagain because here we are here again this year unlike uc...or maybe spdiditagainANDagainANDagainANDagain to represent how many state championships we have in football...we are here ready for the rematch where are you? Congrats on last year....your 230 pound rb was able to run behind your 300 pound center for 2-3 yards per play...if we did not drop an easy td pass early in the game and get a bs unsportsmanlike call when we stuffed you on that last drive then your RECRUIT from Spain would not have been able to kick your winning field goal to eek out the 2 point win...if you think we get anybody from Georgia then you might as well believe you are playing for the state championship again because both statements have the same amount of truth...we LOSE players to North Jackson Alabama and you and the rest of the teams in 1A need to be thankful we do
  9. I am not going through all 119 pages of jabber jawing so I was wondering if the good folks of PC and JB could fill me in on the following....what type of D does your team run and what is the strongpoint....also what about the O? Who are your statistical leaders in rushing, receiving and passing? How many yards? Etc. Responses are much appreciated
  10. Hey Croz wasn't your boy that hardcore d linemen for gville back in 2007? He was an outstanding player...he play ball at the next level or decide to pursue other things? 55 I think was his number though I can't recall for certain
  11. Geno that was not coalfield....that was midway in 1989....Lance Wheaton was the guys name and he went on to play at UT although the only field time he saw was holding for extra points and field goals. I think becksvoort was the kicker at the time and they set some type of ncaa record for most consecutive extra points without a miss....but I digress What happened to the gville/ SP thread? Did it get locked?
  12. Hello? Coalfield? Anyone there? How about anyone who has played Coalfield?
  13. What's up Coalfield? Most of us don't know much about your team so can someone enlighten us as to what you do offensively and defensively? Sounds like your QB had a good game last night.
  14. Going into the game I knew SM was the more talented team but I thiught TC might be able to pull it out with great coaching and the ceekbank effect (see officiating)...however SM was able to overcome it all and get a great win in a difficult environment...congrats to SM!
  15. Congrats to Jo Byrns....sounds like this was a good game
