i think that nathan matlock, senior tailback and safety at moore county high school will be in the mix at the end of the season, plays many roles fro the blue raiders and seems to be an even better kid

coach gore is a great coach and an even better man, he has waited his turn...not what i had heard about him interviewing but he would do a great job

moore county loses more than that, i see them play almost every game and think that most people do not know that all 3 seniors have been playing hurt this year. I thought for sure that heahter and rachel would be nominated but feared that the committee would not put two from the same team on the nomination. Heather has moved to a different role this season and has played a solid season not always showing up in the stats, although they are good...she adds a calming influence to the team while she is on the floor...late in the games she is money from the free throw line and can knock it down from anywhere on the court...key rebounds, steals, timely shot....she is a floor leader....i hate that either one of the girls had to be nominated without the other also, i wish both girls and the team great luck this year and the next

i know that several people applied for the whites creek position.....terry arrington applied and got an interview, scott smith interviewed as was not offered the head coaching position but was called and asked if he would be the offensive coordinator for mose.....smith was told by higher ups in metro that he would never be chosen as a head coach in metro and to not even interview for a head job in metro again...arrington landed somewhere in clarksville and i believe smith is at moore county

i think that there are several area coaches that are interested....the big thing is if coffee county is interested in those coaches...will this be a big time hire, a known name or an up and comer?

great hire for summitt high school, talking of rutherford county guys, what about eagleville's steve carson, would he be by chance ready to go to a bigger job like centennial or ravenwood...he has done a great job at ealgeville?

i am sure this has been mentioned many times but these coaches work for their money just like everyone else and the tssaa has not helpled by making victories more important than playing good teams and losing......it is all about the wins....not losing to respectful teams....most teams that are successful at all have a tough time getting teams to play them, i am talking about teams that win only 6 or 7 games a year...fans and principals do not like to see their schools get beat, much less killed by 50 or 60 points...that is one thing that the really good schools should think about before beating someone by 70 points and then not understanding why that same team does not want to play the following year....duh....the same coaches can use that time to play their younger kids, not try to rush for 700 yards...what goes around comes around and as conficios says "karma is a bad woman you never want to make mad" or to translate "karma is a b....

centennial is a school that if they can ever make the right hire, the right coach at the right time, the coach needs to be a motivator and someone that can recruit the hallways and bring in a scheme that can be modified to fit the type of athletes at the school....they dont need a legend they need a hard worker that really likes the kids and is interested in their lives...toughtest part for centennial and any hs in williamson county is the teaching standards for the head coach, unless one is part of the pe dept a full academic load is tough to contend with.....they also do not make under the table deals with the coaches for extra cash...eventually they will get it all together, the right administration, the high energy coach who is allowed to have some quality assitants that are real football coaches and not sponsors....have the kids by in and then allow the whole school time to buy in

i could not agree more, i am just glad that people were not seriously hurt...i think the refs tried to take control but not one wants the clinic bowl called on account of cheap site....they take home a silver ball but more importantly take home a horrible reputation that hopefully they can correct and improve upon before next year..congrats again to the green devils who showed much restraint and even more class....enjoy the off-season greenville!

congrats on a great year for both south pitt and jobyrns.....however, what a crappy final, several teams that played south pitt on the way to the championship played a much better game than the devils...again great season but i think in no way did this represent the two best clas a football teams

coach rathbone would be a great addition to any staff, he has more than paid his dues as an assistant....good luck coach bone
