  2. This may be the toughest the Cleveland Duals have ever been. Out of the 16 teams, 9 have won at least one state title since 2011. Pool A Pope HS- GA State Champs McCallie James Clemons AL Blackman Pool B Soddy Daisy- State Champs Father Ryan- State Champs Rome HS Lafayette HS Pool C Christian Brothers- TN State Champs Thompson HS- 2X AL State Champs Parkview HS Heritage HS (GA)- GA State Champs Pool D Cleveland- 2011 State Champs Baylor- 2011 State Champs Woodland HS- 2X GA State Champs Heritage HS (TN) All Cleveland matches will be broadcasted live at CHSlive.com. Should be a fantastic day of wrestling with state and nationally ranked wrestlers and teams.
  3. Cleveland High wrestlers ended the day with 4 wins! 59-13- Heritage Ga State Champs 77-0 - Ringgold 76-6 - Morgan Co 59-12 - 2x state champs Thompson, AL Aaron Lopez had a big win over Nick Hall, Super finalist, in the Thompson dual.
  4. I believe we will have all Cleveland matches streamed, I will post link later.
  5. Pope HS - State champs Father Ryan- State Champs Christian Brothers-State Champs Soddy Daisy- State Champs Thompson AL- State Champs Heritage GA- State Champs Woodland- 2011 State Champs Cleveland- 2011 State Champs Baylor HS-2011 State Champs Parkview HS McCallie HS LaFayette HS James Clemons AL Rome HS Blackman HS Heritage TN These are the teams attending. I may be off on the credentials but either way its going to be a neat grinder.
  6. This Saturday from 8am-11am, we will have an open invitation youth workout at Cleveland High School. Team Compound and Team TN will both have all of their kids there for a big workout. If interested in coming please contact me for further details. This will be a VERY competitive room therefore I suggest only higher level youth wrestler come. This is a great wrestling opportunity that will be offered for FREE. The night before will be the UTC vs IOWA dual meet in Chattanooga as well as the youth Dual meet, so you can make a weekend of it. 7. Moon, yes you can coach them at the same location. You must be a "club coach" and not on staff at the HS. Your facility must be santioned through USA and/or AAU and all athletes my have a card as well. We get Cleveland santioned in both because our HS kids need USA and my youth needs AAU. I am not completely sure on the dates but at some point during the year, all facilities are closed to HS wrestlers. As far as youth is concerned there are no restrictions to when you can be in the room with them. Currently, all HS coaches are not allowed to coach or be on the mat with the wrestler's, so once the kids lift and run, Coach Yost leaves and I have a club practice for all the HS kids. Hopes this helps. Josh Bosken Higher Calling Wrestling Club
  8. Cleveland- Austin Stevison- He went 4-2 is a very tough weight with 177 kids in his bracket. Ethan West- Ethan started off the tournament with the eventual runner-up and most recent Missouri signee losing 2-0. He ended up 3-2 with wins over PA, NC, and VA.
  9. Sommers, Cant say how that would go, both teams are tough. I will say that assuming everyone stays healthy, this is the best Cleveland team we have had since I have been here.
  10. Morrisette Oliver Cook Hall Isbell Jordan These were the six seniors Clarksville lost. TSSAA may have grades wrong.
  11. Clarksville has and with new personnel will continue to be tough. With that being said they lost 6 seniors, two horses with Isbell and Jordan. They return 4 state qualifiers and two of those are medalist. I think that Clarksville will be very competitive but will need to fill a lot of weights to match thier previous success. That being said I think Wiggins, Crane, and Bruno could be finalist in the right weight, and if they do they could climb the ladder at the individual state tournament.
  12. I agree Coach Morris will have a tough squad. Besides Caleb, who could win WV first state title, only Raulston and Micah scored points for the Mustangs last year. I have much love the Morris clan and it's a matter of time before they are consistently at the top.
  13. Yea i remember him and was suprised he didnt. I dont doubt Grindstaff will have a crew ready.
  14. Ok it has Scara as a senior and I didn't see Wilson qualifying at 145
  15. WrestleGod, Not doubting you but only reason I didn't have Indy in top ten is because I only counted three returning qualifiers. I believe you will have a tough 195 that will be a senior who got sick before state last year, but even with him I don't count more than four. Help me out.
  16. This is a little more difficult, but I will give it a shot- 1-Soddy Daisy- They are the champs and even though they lost some horses, trust me they have some young guys that will fill in. They have 2 returning champs (Stevens and Jonah Smith from 2011), 6 medalist and 9 past state qualifiers. 2- Cleveland- We have been runner ups the past five years and state champs in 2011, this will be our best shot to win it again. With the addition of West and Lopez we have 4 state champs returning, 7 medalist, and 10 qualifiers. The winner will be determined by the upper weights seeing we both lost them. The race for third will be very close. 3-Bradley-Coach Smith has the Bears back on track and will be young and tough. Only returning one medalist, but had three a round away. Like Soddy and Cleveland their upper weights will struggle. 4-Wilson Central- They are returning the most qualifiers with seven after SD and Cleveland and 2 returning medalist. Their guys will need to go deeper into the tournament this year. 5- Pigeon Forge- Foreman's boys are returning 1 medalist and 6 qualifiers. They also had four guys a round or two from placing. They will need someone to step up and get the big points Davis did last year. 6-Ravenwood- This squad is well coached and seems to be in the hunt ever year. Lead by Freeman, who is only returning medalst, they have 6 state qualifiers returning. 7-Heritage- With Matlock leading this team as their lone returning medalist, they also have 6 returning qualifiers. Crawford, Boring, and Evans need to have a god state tournament because Matlock can't do it alone. 8-Cordova- I love watching these kids wrestle and could very easily be higher but with only one medalst returning and 4 qualifiers they may have some holes. Mayes is my darkhorse to win a state title. 9-Beech- This squad had been putting in their time all summer and I expect them do well this year. With one medalst and six qualifiers returning they could be a threat. They could have three medalst this year, one being thier first Champ ever. 10-Franklin-Every couple of year this team has a group that carries Franklin deep. This could be that year. Bennett boys need to have a strong year.
  17. I'll take a stab at this and gve my top two at each weight. Don't yell if I get your wrestler in the wrong weight. 106 Navarro- Bradley Central has two kids at 106 that could place very high here but I think Navarro will be the man. Crawford- Nick has been wrestling all summer and has shown some improvement. 113 DeBien- Chris has shown he is the man to beat. Had a great offseason and is looking for his second title. Boatman- Jon has been on the mat all summer and is determined to get a step higher on the podium. 120 Jacob Stevens- Kid is about as clutch as you can get. Took some tough losses during the year but came to wrestle when it counted. Austin Stevison- You are guaranteed a show every time Austin steps on the mat. Had a great offseason and looking for title number 126 Austin Oliver- Three time medalist is looking for his fourth. Byron Smith- I have heard he has gotten big over the summer. Had a great season last year, and could get a step higher this year. 132 Haden Hamilton- With all of the horses gone from this weight I think Haden will be a favorite. Joseph Dodgen- PF's Dodgen had a great state tournament last year and his looking to get his second medal. 138 Caleb Langford-WV Langford has hunting for a state title for a while, and I think this could be his year. Josh Deckleman- Kid is tough as nail, but I have no idea how big he has gotten this summer. He will medal at any weight he goes. 145 Jacob Freeman- Rumor is he has put on some weight and is registered for 145 at super 32. Gage Richmond- Gage had a great off season and will be the favorite to win this weight. 152 Gabe Hamilton- Returning champ gets the nod Keagan Matlock- Pinnng Machine 160 Turbo Smith- Tough kid and is looking to get back in the finals Aaron Lopez- After a season off Aaron has packed on the weight and looking for his second title. 170 Blake Henry-Blake will be the man to beat Blake Soloman-Kid is tough and with an open weigh he could make the finals. 182 Ethan West- Cleveland's new kid can flat out wrestle. I think he will have this weight locked down. Jordan Davis- Very athletic and could sneak in there 195 Jordan Greene Trevor Shropshire Billy Raulston Oleg Stukanov This is a very week weight with Davis gone. 220 TJ Satterfield- TJ is fun to watch and is a bruiser. He will be back in the finals. Scott Boykin- Heard he has packed on some weight for football. HWT Bruno Reagan- Big man has got talent, and he can throw anyone Taylor Podany- Beech's big boy will be a handful this year. OW-DeBien Best Match- 120 Dark Horse's Dedrick Mayes Élan McCasland
  18. He moved here. He was a State Champ in 2012 at 160 in GA.
