Hey man, summertown prob better than what they showed in that game. Pressure can get you. I’m just saying didn’t look very good in that game, doesn’t mean they don’t have potential if they work at it this off season and mature. People just try to blow a lot of teams up on here and then when they end up playing vs decent teams they look like crap. Kinda today’s society everyone likes to dish it out but can’t take the heat when it’s thrown back on them. I’ll be the first to admit Peabody has got to be able to shoot it and handle it and get better fundamentally before next season with their 5 Sophs, 1 fresh and 3 8th graders coming across. Way over-achieved this year! If everyone would work as hard as the GC seniors did this past 3-4 years kids would be able to play! That requires a lot of work on their own. Just saying summertown no where near looked as good as west teams did this year, (GC, Greenfield, TCA, Peabody and Gleason) . Ol nottofwith or whatever his princess name is sure is fun to mess with though. Feelings all over the place! lol.

I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt cause y’all looked horrible in that one game, but just like the rest of the teams except GC and Loretto right now.... there’s always next yr. it’s ok! Agree! Greenfield, GC, Peabody , TCA , Gleason and maybe Dresden are better than 5-6 of the other teams in Single A at state! Loretto would be the only one that “might” be able to compete with Region 7A.

I’ll take that award, very intelligent and mature response, with a lot of basketball knowledge, but still doesn’t change the fact Summertown isn’t very good! Hahahahahaha

Summertown fans, y’all just ain’t very good! GC played terrible but y’all can’t dribble or pass! Your lucky GC didn’t beat y’all by 30! And I’ll agree refs call for GC some, but that wouldn’t change the fact that y’all aren’t very good!

I’ll say this, I’ve watched a lot of games the last couple days and the basketball is terrible outside of Riverdale, Westview in spurts and Greenfield! Idk how most of these teams made it?!? I’d hate to see the rest of the teams below these teams in their districts and regions! Worst basketball I have seen in a long time!

Greenfield just put a BUTT WHOOPIN on Clarkrange and showed why the West is the best in the state in A basketball! Heck of a game by Chloe for Greenfield!

Peabody will be right there again on the girls side. Lose a big time player in Kiera Hill, but this club returns 5 Sophs that started and played big minutes, bring across 2 very good 8th graders and a freshmen that will play more this next season. Good thing is all these kids return for the next 2 years and with the job Hart does developing talent they will be very tough by season end and then the following year! Great job by Hart and Peabody this year! Barely missed the Region finals but improved more than any team over the season! Congrats to Peabody girls !

Won’t even be close! GC by 20+ ! Only reason I say 20+ instead of 30+ is if GC comes out playing nervous cause of where the game is! Top 4 from Region 7-A played in substate last week! 2 teams from Memphis shouldn’t even be in it! Book your hotels if you haven’t already! These 2 games will prove once again why Region 7-A is the toughest in the State!

Idk where your getting your info on Kiera at but your wrong. She’s getting all kinds of looks from local colleges and colleges from out of state. Blowing the game? Hill hit 11/13 fths including some big ones down the stretch to ice it, couple Sophs hit 1-2 each late. Peabody never trailed in the 2nd half and Peabody answered Gleason when they cut it to 3. So idk about almost blowing the game! Y’all have slept on Peabody all season, this is a very young team, 3 seniors and 5 Sophs play and they have all come a long way this year especially with what they lost from last season! Hart is one of the best in the business and has got this group farther than anyone predicted! Last night was their 21st win and not surprising at all they beat Gleason, they got a great shot at beating GC on Saturday! Do they have to play better on offense? Yes, but they have had games this year where they’ve shot it well! Games with GC haven’t been blow outs till the final score, both games were under 6 pts late in the 3rd into the 4th quarter, not to mention theyve Beat some of the other top teams around the area, but to say you didn’t see this coming or to say some of the other things on here just because your misinformed is ridiculous! Not saying Peabody will beat GC on Saturday but anything can happen!

For sure! If I’m Peabody and Gleason I’m just happy I’m gonna be opposite Greenfield in semis of Region! I think the match up favors Peabody also if they can keep Gleason from running thru set after set! Peabody’s pressure will be the difference in that game! If Peabody can disrupt gleasons sets they win, if Gleason comes down and runs thru stuff over and over again then Gleason wins! I think it will be close thru half time but then I expect a run from Peabody as the pressure keeps up! I for sure wouldn’t want to finish 2nd tonight in championship GC vs. TCA, good chance it will be over for you by Saturday for sure! I’m just convinced Greenfield with 2 kids that can get you 20+ every night and another one that is getting 10-15 will be to hard to beat at UTM! Other kids have really come along also!

Exactly right Bullshark and Pioneer they are 1 shooter away from being very good! Think that’s why last year with the Mayberry kid they were a real state championship contender cause she stretched the defense out so far and could knock down 5-6 threes any night! And go for 25+ at anytime.. Defense keeps Peabody in it cause the kids play so hard and Hart is great at teaching the traps but at some point the ball has to go thru the net! Peabody had every shot they could want I thought , a lot I’d open looks, but couldn’t make any! Kids returning for them got a ton of work to do in off season shooting it if they wanna stay in the top in single A in the West. Middle school needs to get hard at it also, I think that’s lacking a little in the fundamental dept with the kids coming up to the high school now and that’s where fundamentals happen. When Peabody’s shots have fallen this season the look really good but it was ugly last night on the offensive end. Hope they hit a hot streak on Thursday to keep it going!

Bullshark I think your right on about Peabody. Solid pg, solid post and a solid fwd but the guard play of the other kids in the games I have seen has not been there consistently! I do think Peabody/TCA/and Gleason are all 3rd place in the region though. All pose different match up problems for each other! Very difficult to call a clear winner in a matchup up in anyway between those 3 teams. I still say the region is Greenfield’s and Gibson’s to lose, and it is possible but I think those 2 have to have a slight off night and the other 4 teams including Dresden have to have a slightly better night than normal which they have shown they’re capable of this year at times! I don’t see a huge advantage to TCA over Peabody though and I think the first 2 games have shown that. I think Peabody is a match up problem for TCA, but TCA is just as capable of beating Peabody also! Will be a great semi-final game! 1 Greenfield 2 Gibson 3 Peabody/TCA/Gleason (in that order lol) 6 Dresden

I didn’t make it to the game but from what I’m hearing from both sides of the fence TCA can thank their win last night to the refs! Like I said I wasn’t there so no clue. Close game looked like from the score! Both good teams and any game between them can go either way! No clear dominate team I think and the score looked like it proves that. Peabody has a chance to win at the buzzer I believe. My understanding of the tie breaker is to put it simple. 1. TCA wins Tuesday they’re #1 2. GC wins out they’re #1 3 GC win vs TCA and loss to Peabody means Peabody/ GC tie for #1 and TCA falls to #3 ** Peabody must beat GC by 10 for a coin toss to break #1 tie. i might be wrong but that’s what I was told this morning. A lot of scenerios, but again where you finish in dist tourn is the really important thing in my opinion! You wanna stay away from greenfield if your any of these 3 teams!
