The first stalling call on devan was bad as well...fuller reversed devan and stayed completely parrallel above devans hips(some would call that offensive stalling) and from the time fuller secured the reverse till the ref called stalling 8 seconds passed and the scramble started...within 20 seconds devan was out...I watch bigger wrestlers push and pull for 6 min and never create the action that happened in that 30 second window and no stalling calls...I tried to find in rulebook the light weight rules for stalling and heavy weight rules for stalling but they seem to be the same??? I understand the action of bigger guys is no where near the action of the smaller guys....just needs to be some kinda common ground

Wow...I guess it was devans fault that the ref absolutely inserted himself into the match...I agree and tell my boys about close matches all the time...but two boys batteling on a mat and the score being close is how good wrestlers do it...good wrestlers dont run away with matches against other good wrestlers...so by your thinking when a match is close then its the losing wrestlers fault if a ref decides a match and the winner just gets lucky...devan is the most humble kid in the world...he knows how to lose...and I dont hurt for the loss as a parent..if he loses he loses...its just high school wrestling...I doubt its gonna pay any bills in life...but I have had countless numbers of calls emails and texts from coaches and fans(folkes I dont really even kno) asking what happened..and the ones that seen it cant explain what happened. Thats y im even posting... I am getting video edited and will have it posted for all to see...and yes..devans knee was hurt in the quarters against cerrito and then he finished the job on it in the first period against fuller ..he has had a dr and trainers look at it and pre mri is torn acl...he has alot of travel..does not look good...and he wrestled the whole match like that just to get done that way by huffington...definately devans fault for keeping the match close...

Fuller wins 9-8...and its listed as sudden death victory?? Never went to overtime...

Devan has a concussion according to trainers right now...we will know more tomorrow...he should be fine by next weekend....thanks for the concern

I am devans father and appreciate the vote of confidence for him...and you obviously do know devan cause you hit the nail on the head...he is very quiet and a bit shy and really doesnt get concerned about alot of stuff...nor i for that matter...i am a proponent of mid tn wrestling and try to keep my boys in mid tn for the sake of building this area...but these kinds of decisions really reiterate why chatt area remains the hot bed in tennessee for wrestling...good luck to all this weekend and the next two weeks

I agree with common opponents and head to head matches should be the criteria for the vote...i also understand if a wrestler hasn't descended to his weight because tssaa descent plan..then he is voted in the weight class he has wrestled most matches...so how does a kid who got the award last yr...was the OW at Soddy invite at 113 by pinning the number 2 and 3 ranked kids in state (at that time) inside a minute this yr..and also received wrestler of the week by a mid tn high school coach...get less votes than a kid who has not wrestled any of these same kids..no disrespect for kid...just wondering...all the stats are on intermat..i believe chatt area has similar award but its awarded after state

I think a pretty good system would be to do your picking of a tennessee all star team by waiting to see if they actually make it to state...then go from there...i dont care either way....if yall dont want devan on your dream team... no worries this way...i find it sad that the best in mid tn will NOT be the best mid tn has to offer...im sure another team would love to have him...but for now he will concentrate on winning state

If your guy deserves to be picked..then what does it matter if his high school coach shows up to a meeting that happens before even an individual region tourney even takes place...shouldnt the kids be judged by what they actually acomplish and not whether a coach shows up...way to show the kids....so what you are saying is that a kid doesn't deserve to make the team if his coach cant make the trip to nashville....what happened to winning region then state and then the team is chosen from the actual best kids at state...just an idea

Coach and staff are great...very impressed with coaches..Coach logston here today...awesome stuff....does get a lil frustrating tryin to compete with the best in the state with no one close to competing in your gym...as we all know, practice partners r a definite plus..coaching staff is fantastic...just takes time to build a program...a luxery we dont have...we arent goin anywhere...kids love it here and al and lester are doin great work with both my kids...and not moving another kid because of wrestling alone....if u know what i mean...thanks for asking

Devan Cyree is certified at 106...maybe this will put at rest the jibber jabber about his weight....lil brother weighed a wopping 101...he will b 106 next yr
