  1. From what I've seen the past few weeks, the Bradley D line better improve their play a lot. Otherwise, the Cleveland, Farragut and Bearden games are gonna be clock-eating possessions for those teams to keep the ball out of the hands of Bradley's offense. I hope I'm wrong, but personally I don't see them winning at least two of those games and maybe all three.
  2. Why wrestle the top bracket? I know upsets happen, but that pretty much is a cakewalk for Cleveland (that said, they would have been the favorites no matter who was in that bracket). Gonna be a battle on the bottom bracket.
  3. They stream the games on the BCHS channel on YouTube.
  4. Congrats on the win. But don't you worry, it's still gonna say you got an L to Bradley this year no matter how bad Maryville abuses them later.
  5. With the Cleveland City Schools shutting down for the rest of the week, can this game be played?
  6. So, in reading that article, it appeared to say that only 8 teams would make the Division I Class AAA duals championships this year. If this has been discussed before, I apologize, as it was the first I've seen of it. That would mean only the top team from each region would go to state? Would suck for certain regions, that's for sure (however, every one is wrestling for second place, so does it really matter?).
  7. i have heard rumors of that as well. Someone with knowledge of the Cleveland program would have to confirm it though.
  8. Any live stream of this game tonight? I thought I remember Maryville puts their games on through NHFS, which I refuse to get.. and it's reliable, so I'm told, about 50% of the time.
  9. Not sure that would be considered an upset. I guess if you look at it like Bradley is ranked ahead of McMinn, but that is probably only a consequence of when they lost last. I think McMinn will hit a few long plays that may win them the game. Bradley's DB's have not been stellar all year, but have improved, as has the defense, of late. We'll see, should be a good game for sure.
  10. Alright, fooseball95, I'll bite. You forget about the team across town as a normal top team? BCHS is certainly one of the top teams in the state, year in and year out. And the other teams you mentioned as well. I'll admit though, Cleveland is primed and should win another two titles this year. Everyone else is going for second. Did Cleveland get a transfer that attended Blair Academy?
  11. Soddy will be glad to be getting out of the Bradley County region. They were a very good team many years but were the third wheel in that region and didn't get to go to state. Knoxville area wrestling just got a lot more interesting with Halls dropping down to A-AA.
  12. Saw the whole thing on bchs.tv on YouTube. I'm sure it has the game in the archive if you really want to watch it again. So it wasn't the Bradley guy with the camera. I think Bradley went about trying to beat Maryville the right way in running the ball and eating the clock. McMinn should take that game plan, and with their much better rushing game, should be able to keep the Maryville game at least close or win. That said, it doesn't matter if you lose by 4 or you lose by 40, you still lose. You don't beat Maryville by kicking FG's. Therein lies my gripe with the scoring opportunities last night for the Bears.
  13. I agree with most of what you said, however, I have found that most HS games played in rain just become a big "slip n slide" sloppy affair with multiple turnovers. It also wrecks the field (well, grass fields, for those public schools who aren't lucky enough to play in Knoxville or at Cleveland High School) for future games the rest of the year. I do think the crowd from Maryville would be bigger if it was on Friday.
