“Strong for Clay is your Mr Basketball for Class A.” I don’t believe that to be true.. Watch film, watch their highlights either 1..strong is real good and a year younger, but right now Trey Johnson is the best Single A basketball player in the state

Senior Trey Johnson from Cosby is absolutely a single A Mr Basketball candidate in Class A..he averages 30 a game and 8 rebounds and 5 assists..he was all state last year..4 year starter who helped lead cosby to the state tournament his sophomore year..over 1500 career points..3.5 GPA..Trey hit 10 3’s last game scoring 60 points in 19 minutes..he had a dunk against Pigeon Forge where he put a boy on a poster that blew up on Twitter and will likely be dunk of the year on the area..Cosby has had some players worthy of being a candidate but has never had a Mr Basketball candidate..I’ll be honest, there’s just not 3 better players in class A than Trey Johnson this season

Oneida isn’t bad by any means..I could tell 11 had the ability to get hot..40 is a good role player, botts is a good pg and Yancy plays bigger than he is..but we missed idk how many layups..worst game our posts had played maybe all year and we still won on the road and never trailed the entire game..our guards didn’t shoot good either..24 is about our 4th scoring option for us and he took over..good thing is we’re do for a good shooting game

If you don’t think Meredith for UH is a star player you’re badly mistaken..he’s the best guard in the Eastern time zone in Single A..I agree the guys around him are pretty good but he stands out way above his teammates..deadly shooter who makes stuff happen all over the flooor..they don’t have the size or athleticism to make a deep run but it’s not because they don’t have a star player

Cosby won and Didn’t play well offensively either..we were 15 points better than Oneida..we’re due for a good shooting game..id like to play UH again

Cosby was the better team, UH had the best player and he just happened to make a play to win it..when you’re ahead by 8 going into the 4th you’re supposed to win..our 6’5” post guarded Meredith and some a really good job..but our 1-3-1 gave North Greene fits pretty much won us the game and we didn’t run it 1 possession of it against UH..i think we can go to Oneida and win..maybe we got the better draw..

I’d like to add I love Unaka being the only district 1 team left after Hampton or Cloudland whichever it was whined around and called the TSSAA complaining until the district 1 tournament was moved from Unaka..I love Unaka is getting the last laugh being the only team left in Carter County in Single A

Go easy on Bologna saying Greenback could beat UH..i didn’t think they would win but they were capable of beating them..they have two power 5 conference football players who are very athletic and a pretty good point guard..they’re just terribly coached, Let’s be honest..I figured Unaka would win at Jellico and I think NG-Hancock is a coin flip..Hancock with lots of seniors 2 games removed from an awful loss to Jellico will be a real tough out..Hampton played slot better the 2nd half tonight..the press didn’t hurt Cosby at all..having a 6’5” 250 grown man helping bring the ball up makes a world of difference..one of our best guards stayed in foul trouble tonight we can’t have that..anyway Hampton will be real good next year with everyone back..good luck to them

Greenback fans LOVE to blame the refs..they blew an 18 point lead but the refs had no part of Greenback winning?!? GB lost 7 district games this year including 1 to Washburn and they finished 5th in the league (with the 2nd best team in the league..I’m sure the refs beat them in all those games too..that being said I could easily see GB going on the road and winning a region game

Playing well right now..21-5 starting 4 sophomores playing a tough schedule..it’s a tough road but i think they can make it

District 2 is finally competitive for once..Greenback is the 5 seed and won the tournament last year and got pretty much everyone back..Cosby won’t have a cakewalk to the championship like the years before..for the first time maybe ever district 2 is as good as district 1 top to bottom..there used to be not much pressure to win district 1 cuz the 3 or 4 seed could come to district 2 and win on the road..that’s not the case anymore

Untill 4 years ago district 2 consisted of hancock, washburn, clinch, j frank and you won your district the last 2 or 3 years so your guaranteed a substate game facing theose 4 and 2 seeds . You beat Hampton 2 years in a row and thats what you had to do to make the state tourny. so i got respect for cloudland. they play the way i loved to play. getting after it. big ups to 4 out of 6 years man. thats a program. good luck wednesday.

Yeah im gonna go down and watch till friday. Hampton got a good draw with summertown. Cloudland not so much. middleton will be super athletic. even for good teams that excute the best, there is nothing you can do against size and athletiscm

its about matchups. you cant go by our unaka score to determine anything. Cloudland's bread and butter is that press. it wouldnt affect the cosby guards. therfore i think conard would score evrytime down the floor if we played you all.
