I see where u are going with this.... Yes A-E in 1991, and Harriman in 1997. If there is a rematch its not gonna happen, Alcoa dominated AE this year except for Special Teams, so if ALcoa advances and AE does also Alcoa would love to have another shot at a team that had 60 total yards of offense against them... Im making out to this one Friday night eventhough i would like to see what a passing team can do on Maryville, i think this will be the best game of the week..

So I guess that Loudon team would lose to the best team Maryville has ever had by only 7? Cause that is what this Alcoa team did, so maybe they are not the same Alcoa of the last 2 years.. So i see Wharton goes 3-3 with a TD, has 2 carries for 100+ and a TD.... Sounds to me like i would only get him the ball 5 to 6 times a game... Goodpasture cant stop him, but it seems they wont have to Martin dont get him the Ball... GP-21 CPA-17

So Wharton has touched the ball 4 times the last 2 games, almost broke a punt for a TD against East Lit, and almost took 2 kicks back last night.... Doesnt seem like Wharton is the problem sounds like the coaches arent getting him the ball enough? When i first found out Wharton was leaving East tn and going to Nashville to play lesser comp i just knew he was gonna blow up...now it seems they have a problem playin the best player in school, so maybe the move hasnt help as much as i thought it would since he dont touch the ball??? The best team and coach in the state(Maryville,GQ) plays Freshmen and Sophomores, if u are the best no matter if u are 14 u are gonna play, and i think thats the way it should be. Im an outsider looking in but it seems there may be some politics going on at CPA.

Great post. I also think with all the playing time Flack is getting at TE he will be much improved, and maybe move owenby to Tackle where he will be playin in college. I have watched Love play a few times and i think he has the makings of a shutdown corner. Also u didnt mention the 2 OLB that had to play friday night #42, and #45, they are young and that means the LBs will have more depth next year also. Like most have said nobody gonna feel sorry for Alcoa, and i dont think fans should be in panic mode. Also i hear the 8th graders are AWESOME and there are a few 9th graders that can help next year, so the future is still bright.

I don't believe this will be that great of a game. Alcoa should handle the Yellowjackets pretty well. Everyone seems to be panicing about 3 losses, 1 was to the best team in the state, another to the best team in 4a, and a funky,fluky loss to a real big an athletic team in Austin-East..Alcoa is not the same Alcoa they have been the past couple of years, No Warren, and Tyson to pound you then hit you with Vee on the egde, but they still have a good enough team to win state. All the pieces are starting to fall in place, they seem to have a nice QB who can throw it, It just took 6 weeks for him to show Rankin that he can have confidence in him, now i think that will open up Oggs and Hambrick on the edges, and some down the field passes. As for KIngston and their coach, i sure hope they dont run him off like UT did to Fulmer, as long as i can remember Vic King has been Kingston Football. I dont agree with everything he has done but he always puts the kids interest first and to me thats important. If this is indeed Vic's last season i hope his team can make it a great one for him. Alcoa has too much for Kingston, I predict 49-13..

Just checking with ya gfield. I think the alcoa passing game could be special if the had a guy come in with a great knowledge of passing like rankin has of running,then 2 great football minds would have them balanced and untouchable ..IMO

I have been told that Mr. Oggs and his family have moved into the Springbrook area(which i beieve is in the city of Alcoa)close to the pool..The reason he transfered i have no clue, but i would say he wanted to win a championship and maybe get noticed.. Looks like Alcoa put it on Loudon in the final 3 quarters, Seems like they were a little more balanced before the game became a blowout, Passing the ball 15 times in 1 half is a lot for Alcoa. Goddardfield: I saw that Wall threw a INT, Do you think if Rankin came out and tried to open up the passing game against Maryville it would have worked??? NO it wouldnt.. Last week against alcoa maryvilles special teams got out played...alcoa returned a kick for a td. Punting alcoa punted 2 times for a 35 avg with no return and both being downed inside the 20... both kicking games weren't very good... Great job Maryville I love it when west goes down

Great job last week by HHS, but HVA was not close to 100%, when Dorian went down, that hurt the Offense and Defense a lot, I think LC will bring more into the box and make Cline pass the ball when they go into the "WIlD CHASE" unlike HVA did last week, Jordan Hall and the WR he has will be clicking this week,since last week was their first time on the field together. #14 is without a doubt, MHS all the way, for underarmour alcoa's jersey arent very good looking, but that will not play a role in the game, should be a fairly close game..

Seems like I remember telling u this about 2 weeks ago....I have been around this game a long time and u don't have players like vic(trey) wharton come along very often in 3a football and when I was told he wasn't getting a chance to play I was in total shock..but now u see what I was talking about cpa4ever. Congrats guys hope alcoa and cpa matchup for the state championship in both football and basketball ..
