Jasper has some awful play calling. They can throw the ball and that is what they need to do to win.

I am going to say SP by 14 atleast. Tonight we will see just how good Lankford is against a very good D.

You know sometimes we get caught up in the sport(s) that these kids participate in and we forget about the kids. This is very sad news. I am from South Pittsburg and I will indeed send my prayers up for the community and family.

Lankford from SP. The kid has been a huge part of the teams success so far this season. With all the injuries they put this kid in and really did not name him starter until week 4. We are talking about a kid who is in the 10th grade and he has a team and a town on his back and he is doing a pretty durn good job. I looked in the Times Free Press today and he is leading the Chattanooga area in yds 1299 ypa 10.8 ypg 185.6 tds 22. Once again I have to add this kid is just in the 10th grade. I also would like to add he had the 10th best rushing game in Tennessee high school football history as a 10th grader!

I say on 85% of the offensive plays he will have a pancake block. The O Line will without a doubt be the biggest difference maker for SP. Having a kid in the backfield like Lankford does not hurt either. I think will Chubb out that SP will play old school Pirate football and run it down Jasper's throat. I am going out on a limb and saying Lankford will have a huge game 250+ yds and 4 or 5 tds on less than 20 carries. I have seen Jasper play this year and it looks like they have some power at the LB position with #45 don't know his name also looks like they have a little speed with #85 and of course the Zeman brothers are good, but Boeck and Jasper has built them up and people expect alot out of them now. I look to see a good game in the first half. SP will have to get in the groove of not having Chubb out there but I don't see Jasper ever having the led at any point in this game. SP 52 Jasper 22 ( Jasper will hit a couple of big passes on a Chubb-less secondary )

Chubb has a broken hand and will be out atleast 4 weeks from what I hear. Broke it last real late in the game.

There is no doubt that MC has some good talent, but some are being used wrong for the type of offense they are running. I know that people are going to agree and disagree with me, but I think it's time for a coaching change at MC. Boeck is running the program into the ground. SP up front on the O line will controll the game. Lankford might have 300 + in this game. Don't look for SP to throw the ball much. Power football will win this game for SP. I don't think the score will be as bad as what some people think. I think MC can score through the air. Zeman has a good arm and some good targets. As long as he don't get rattled and the MC O line can hold up then they could put up some points. Once again don't look for another beating like last year, but look for another SP win. SP 52 MC 22

No disrespect to any of the other teams, but they need to go ahead and size them boys at South Pittsburg for another state ring.

HAHAHA Signal will beat Grundy bad! But as for beating Mathers and a bunch of no names. Those no names blocked for Mathers and those no names on D held Signal to scoring less than they did so if you ask me those no names did a pretty good job. I can't wait til Signal gets a beating by 1A South Pittsburg I would hate to see the names you list before you say no names Chubb, Johnson, Allen, Lankford, Stone, Blevins, Mitchell, etc... I will go ahead and give you a head start on names.

How are both middle teams?

Both teams are good and it should be a good game. I am a SP fan and I hate to say it, but Signal has a good team and a good scheme. They have the best revieving duo in the state and I think that will play a huge part in this game. Also they have a good running back can't remember the kids name, but he is big and strong. Close game Signal by 6 ( 31 - 25 )

I think it will be a good game for a little while. SP will pull away late in the 2nd or early in the 3rd. With the 1-2 punch in the backfield with Lankford and Johnson running behind that big ol O Line i think that is what will make the difference. Also everyone knows Chubb is going to get his yards and points. From what I am hearing Lankford is putting on a show and making it look easy. I will be there and I hope to see what this Lankford kid can do. Throwing it out there SP 52 SC 12

1. Eddie Moore 2. Jimmy Wigfall 3. Bo Haden 4. Robert Robinson 5. Sam Greer 6. Raquis Hale Cody Walker was a durn good back but couldnt keep his head on straight. Also don't blink cause there is a kid there now that still has 2 years left and could easily creep up this list. Lankford is going to be a force and he is only going to get bigger.

This should be a easy win for Jasper and maybe a confidence booster. With Eric Qualls out for 2 weeks I think Jasper will turn to running the ball and chewing some clock alot more. If they want to be successful they should put Matt Zeman at FB and Blake Zeman at QB. I don't think that combo would give them a winning season but they could have alot of different looks. With Qualls out I think they loose their best player on offense from what I have seen, but as for this game I am going to say Jasper 26 Whitwell 12

Depth will without a doubt be on of the reasons SP takes this one by atleast 50. SP is stacked at running back and they have Chubb. I know he is not the only reciever, but this kid can make a huge difference in a game. I seen in the paper he had 4 rec for 144 yds last night. He should be able to draw some double teams as the season goes on and get some of the other recievers some touches. Also the O line SP has is unreal as is there LB core. I don't see any team really hanging with them. I think if they can get a gameplan together that the closest they will come to getting beat will be Signal.
