Hey Croz, the ones suggesting a change are probably the ones who always leave with 8 minutes left on the clock in the 4th qt.Win or loose it is done as a team and that includes the coaches and players.Defeat is always harder to accept than victory and it is always easier to point the finger,but I bet this group of seniors would rather play for Vic than any other coach.This group of seniors with Grider has put 2 silver balls and one gold ball in the cabinet at SPHS and it didn't just happen by accident. With all that said I would like to give a shout out to my son Coltin Blevins(aka BIG 50)as I refer to him,I am proud of all of your accomplishments and achievements on the field and off the field!! Your Dad and also your "Biggest Fan" Always put God first and everything else is easy!!

Congrats to WC you played an almost perfect game, talked to several WC fans before the game and after the game and all were class acts.If any posters on here had seniors on the team all I can say is as a parent I feel your pain. The loss was not hard to accept but watching my son play his last game as a high school football player cut to the bone.Congrats you earned it!!

NO time for the tractor the WC fans had the coaches concerned with our small D-line so he sent them over to the farm.Doc Adcock and myself took the boys to his place and put them on the old ferry boat,we rigged up several oars on the ferry and put then to work on the water,Doc Adcock is a very smart man,we think this repetitve motion should perfect their swim move to get them in the backfield faster.That Marshall man called me "TODAY" trying to get some G"Ville boys down here on the farm,but I qiuckly declined. I will tell the WC coach the same thing Saturday morning after SP beats them friday.

MR Wildcat I believe he would be talking about the press conferences held before the the Mr Football banquet,I also was told by a reporter your MR Football finalist said SP defensive line was small and they would run it down their throats.Several poeple were present to hear it,being 17 or so he was probably just full emotion and it came out wrong.I also know for a fact that some SP boys and WC boys sat at the same table during banquet.You can fell free to correct me if I am Wrong.Their is nothing in this post that is not true and power p would probably be the last poster on this board to tell a lie.

I think it starts when the head coach stands in the middle of the field and tries to stare down the opposing team during warm ups.To me that just sets the tempo for the team and once agaian attitude is reflected by leadership and the group doesn't handle pressure well.With some attitude adjustmants and discipline starting with the coached down to the players G"Ville will have a chance at gold next year.however if things are not handled I am afraid you will end up with the same results.Trash talkin on the field is just part of the mental game and SP does it as well as any they just don't let the other team in their heads.G'Ville took themselves completely out of this game with 8 minutes left on the clock and SP came out with the win.

No time for hay right now plankwalker,we had a big john deere tracter buried to the axles in mud with a cuttin harth behinfd it.Went and found Coltin,Big DJ,and Trey Martin hooked them up to the front of the tracter like a team of mules and they started moving it slowly,then it hit me I went and got that big anchor Cody Branham and hooked him to the front line and they are turning up new ground as we speak they have ben pulling that tracter since 6.00am.I am going to send them home before lunch so i don't have to feed them.

I was impressed with Johnson . I didn't see him Being a part of any of the madness on the field. Lankford is a bit immature . His excessive celebration over a first down was an example. He sort of laid down a few times when he took some hits. Both he and Blevins were jawing with our crowd going out of the gates. I don't think that is a good representative of mr football candidates but maybe that isn't their normal behavior. Good luck to you next week. SP exposed G'Villes team by appyling constant pressure and SP stayed composed.G'Villes head coach set the tone last year by stomping the "P"(that was not forgotten).Attitude is reflected by leadership.G"Ville has a great team just needs the coaching staff to lead by example!!G'Ville will be very good next year but could easily have the same results without discipline.

I highly doubt Coen will be doubled while he is on offense,that shows how much you know about football!! Blevins can bench press 300lbs.Roy his father has had him out in the field pushing those big round rolls of hay around,he has to get real low under the hay just to make it move so maybe this way he will be ready for those tall blocker.If I see him I will tell him to a get little bit more of a running start when kicking but he won't raise his leg up any higher he is afraid his teammates will think he has ben taking ballet. Croz, you are right G'Vill has had a pretty easy schedule for the last part of the year, in the past 7 games the teams you have played have won 30 games and lost 45 wheras the Pirates foes have won 57 and lost only 22,you do the math and see who is ready.Blevins will not be coming to G'Ville to look for Coen to have a Mr.Football showdown,( his father taught him to be much smarter than that )on offense he will do his assignment blocking and do it well.Now on defense he will be looking to dismantle anybody carrying the ball and you will be surprised at how much ground he can cover for a big boy.He will be there for a win not a p###ing contest with Coen.

Tigerfan you won't be playing eaglville this week and that number 1 won't be suited up in the black and orange,so things won't be so easy this week.#16 won't score 5 td's either.As a Pirate fan I respect G'ville but have a little more confidence in this group Pirates than some.Dont be suprised if you see big mean spear caught and broke this defense will be a little more physical than some you have played.They know this is going to be a battle and so do the fans, the winner of this game will win the gold ball!!!!

I watch them every chance I get,I will just say I expect the O Line to be very impressive this week, I don"t think our backs will be as pressured as they have ben in the past few games.I still say they have to hit the holes and sometimes settle for short yardage and the big plays will happen.If we make it past Coalfield injury free then we may have all the starters for G'ville if they win.

I think we will see a more dominant Pirate team this week,i think Grider made the boys realize there is no letter "I" in the word team.Some adjustment have ben made on both sides of the ball,we don't have to have a big win just a win with no injuries!!
