Great win by West even though it was looking bleak in that 3rd quarter. These kids from West just find a way to win and am super happy for them. This game was two teams that were mirror images of the other and left it out there. Hats off to Powell as that is a darn good football team. Playoffs are here now and anything can happen but Id be shocked if these teams dont meet again in Round 3. Go Rebels!

As for the game itself - Ill go West 24 - Powell 21 but im not confident in that pick. Will be there either way rooting my Rebels on like ive done this last quarter century. Go Rebels!

That West team and this one are vastly different. This team is good but they dont have the offense that made last years group almost score the most points in West history.

No Lou Holtzing nothing...look at the teams coming in. West started out the year getting better on offense and since Alcoa have hit a snag. Powell started the year off with a couple of losses but since have been lights out. Also Powell has beaten West many times in the past with major implications on the line and it hasnt been close. So I ask you why wouldnt I think they could win comfortably...also I didnt make a prediction all I said was why do I get the feeling Powell wins comfortably?

I hope West wins in a close one but for whatever reason I have this feeling Powell wins comfortably, again hope im wrong. I agree this will be the first meeting of 2 but the location hinges on this huge matchup. Hoping for a great game! Go Rebels!

Funny enough Sevier Co moved regions from 2 to 1 this past year and got the 1 seed...i wonder where theyd be record wise if they were still in region 2?

Seems like these two teams have been in each others way since 2011 in achieving region and state championships. Should be another heckuva game....thoughts on this one? Go Rebels!

Does not matter...I got Oak Ridge in the semifinals playing at Powell or West for the right to go to State.

West defense has been very good after halftime these last 3 games...not allowing a single point in the second half. Offense needs to finish off drives as they left points out there on the fumble strip as well as getting a crucial penalty that made it difficult to get the yards needed for a first down in Halls territory (turned it over on downs). If they can clean this up and special teams do what they did last night - should be a deep run in the playoffs. Kudos to Halls players and stafff on a heckuva turnaround from last year to this year. Do not count them out from beating Mo West in the first round of playoffs.

I really thought Heritage was gonna win this game going into it but its very hard to overcome 3 turnovers let alone 6 in a game. The fact they had a chance late in the 4th qtr despite all those turnovers is impressive. Fun game to watch and congrats to Central for proving me wrong. Heritage unfortunately had the bad luck of being in a region with West and Powell because if they had been in Oak Ridge's region theyd be the 2 or 3 seed with blowout wins over Karns and Lenoir City and probably have beaten Campbell Co while they were at it. Looking forward to seeing Heritage improve and see what they have next year.

Looking to see if West offense gets back on track.. West defense is solid and should do there thing. One thing that West needs to continue is not turning the ball over. Last game against AC was the first game all year they didnt have a turnover. Looking forward to next Friday. Go Rebels!

I didnt say Josh and his staff were horrible...I have great respect for him and his staff. I just would pick Rang between the 2 head to head and if I had to pick a guy to coach my team between the 2. Cant go wrong with either. Look no further than what he has done with Bearden these last couple years.
