Hey....you guys won. Congrats! Trust me...Dresden has been in your shoes many times when no one gave us a chance. A few examples were back in 2011 against Adamsville to make it to the State Championship game & last year against Wayne Co & Greenback & we won our first championship. Enjoy the ride.

You should be neighbors to the Huntingdon fans. They’re even more annoying. No one gave Dresden a shot either but we blew every team out last year including the “beasts” East teams in the State Championship game. I kinda like Cornersville or Lake County’s champs. Nice to see teams make it that have everyone asking “where’s *****?” Make a name for your town.

I’m shocked! I’ve said since first game of the season that Huntingdon would roll thru the season & win a state championship. Congrats to Cornersville.

Running two plays finally caught up to us. Been saying since our freshman QB got hurt that we were going to have to mix it up or we wouldn’t make it far in the playoffs & that’s exactly what happened. Hillcrest line is huge so there is no running it up the middle & they’re fast so they kept us from going to the outside. We waited to pass until it was a must pass situation. Can not say enough about how well our guys played on defense. Looked like two different teams out there. Lake County should be ok against Hillcrest then will meet up with Huntingdon & your season will end just like anyone else that has or will play the Mustangs this year. They’re just that good. Good luck Falcons!

Well I retract my statement. Congrats to Hillcrest. We didn’t deserve to win.

We’re experiencing the same play calling in Dresden

If they barely squeaked by with the W against South Fulton then the score won’t even be close. These Dresden boys know what it takes to win & they’re not ready for basketball just yet. Go Lions!

Being a life long true Dresden fan, it hurts me to even say this but I'm not sure anyone (Dresden included) will be able to handle the Mustangs. They look like the Dresden team of last year in my opinion. Whoever plays them will have to play a perfect game & Huntingdon will have to make some major mistakes. Not saying it can't be done but they're just that good this year.

We played at Crump a couple years ago. Nice stadium with artificial turf. In a rough part of town but plenty of police presence. We parked on the street right across from the hospital & didn't have any issues.

I can promise you I haven’t heard one player or coach even mention Lake County. Estes will only discuss the next team up & expects the same from the players. That being said, we’re hoping to make it to the 3rd round & beyond. GO LIONS!!

You Lake County fans are cracking me up. On every thread week to week you all keep talking about wanting that rematch with Dresden. I can tell you that you'll be facing a much different Dresden team than the one you played in week 3. We've gotten a few key players back that really limited our game plan without them. The Lions are taking it one game at a time. They've got Middle College tonight & that's where their focus is. Good luck to Lake County tonight & GO LIONS!!

Looks like we're getting a couple playmakers back this week & I'm hearing rumors that Crawford may be getting limited playing time which is great news since the first report was that he could be out for the season.

Trenton will be a strong contender for the gold ball in 2A & Huntingdon in 1A for the West.

When you're a 1A team with 35 players & you have at least 10 standing on the sidelines in street clothes, it's kind of hard not to discuss the injuries. I don't think Dresden fans are using this as an excuse but it does have an impact on your team & how they're able to execute.

Gotta give props to our Sidelines PT crew & trainers. We've kept them busy with athletes in all sports so far this season.

YSo has been one of the most faithful Dresden fans on the T. You questioning him as a fan shows how much you know about Dresden Football. Trust me there are plenty of Dresden fans just sitting back letting the Tide fans do the talking. Plenty of bulletin board material for our boys.

This will be a tough game. Lions are all banged up but keep finding ways to win. I'll still go with my Lions because these guys know what it takes to win & refuse to lose.
