It's definitely more of an air raid attack, although this year they run the ball and throw it deep more often because they have great athletes at running back and receiver and a QB who throws a pretty good deep ball. Their bread and butter is still mostly short passes that give the receivers the opportunity to run after the catch, at least thats what they like doing against MoWest

Wow the sour grapes are just out in force on coacht today. They went for 2 up 40-7 to get the running clock going so they could get out of there with as few injuries as possible, and I'll never apologize for physical play. It's the playoffs, if your team is getting its feelings hurt over a 2 point conversion when they're down 33 points, their priorities are in the wrong place.

I honestly don't believe a word of this, Morristown West is one of Greeneville's biggest rivals and I've been up to Burley just about every other year for the past decade and then some, and I have never seen anything like this. Yes, Greeneville's fans are a lively bunch who love their trash talk and can get pretty annoying sometimes but I'd bet anything that the incidents mentioned here are either greatly exaggerated or downright false. Any claim that this years Central Bobcats are anything less than the reincarnation of the '85 Bears has been met with hostility by this poster and I have yet to see him give credit to any of the teams that have beat Central this year aside from that half hearted compliment he gave Greeneville before bashing their fans. I think this comment is just extreme sour grapes and I think Greeneville's fans are owed an apology.

Trojans sure picked a great time to be hitting on all cylinders. Radio guys said Mo West outgained Knox West 485-75 in total yards and 348-5 in rushing yards. Hopefully the Trojans carry this momentum into the rematch with Sevier County next week.

I'm not saying Central doesn't have athletes or speed I'm simply saying Greenville has more.

Greeneville has more athletes, and the game is at Burley so I'll take the Devils to win it on a late field goal. Wouldn't surprise me too much if Central came out on top though.

Heritage must have watched the Sevier County tape and figured they could throw it on Mo West and Calvin Smith had a field day in the secondary. Mo West needs to stop the run like they have all year and make a few plays in the secondary and they should be able to hold the Rebels under 20. On offense Delaney will get his yards, they need to get a few plays out of the other members of the offense to secure a win.

While this is ridiculous I don't think its the norm, I see this kind of stuff at just about every high school game I go to and sometimes it's much worse than this. I don't know the whole story but I'm sure it all started with a few parents who were upset at their kids being labled anything less than perfect.

I don't see a ton of problems for West in this one. They've shut down every offense not named Sevier County this year and this game shouldn't be too different. I think the Sevier Co game reignited the fire in the defense and the offense has been steadily improving all year. Although they're gonna have to throw the ball downfield more consistently if they want to make the run they're capable of making.

Getting exposed like they did on Thursday could very well help the Trojan defense. They've got a good group of kids that will use it as motivation and work to get the problems fixed. I think West comes out laser focused on Friday and might play their best game of the year.

I've seen both teams play in person and I think Fulton wins this one without much trouble. I don't see Central moving the ball much against Fulton's defense and the Falcon Offense is enough trouble without all the extra time of possession. Fulton 35 Central 7 although I feel like it could be worse

We'd have to go down to Knox West and get a win in the 2nd round before we'd even get a chance. Thats if we bounce back and get the Win against Tennessee High next week.

If that team runs out in any uniform that doesn't say Sevier County on it the Trojans win this one, we went away from whats been working all year and played passive on defense which allowed Wallace to pick us apart. All the credit to Sevier County for coming out to play but this is a really, really bad loss for West.

On a muffed punt, does the kicking team have to recover the ball beyond their first down marker for the ball to be awarded to them? Example: Its 4th and 25, the kicking team only punts the ball 20 yards and it touches a member of the return team and the kicking team recovers it 5 yards short of the first down marker, would the ball be awarded to the kicking team or the receiving team?

I think the Trojans are hungry to get over the hump and finally get the W against Sevier Co. I think the key to the win for West is staying aggressive on defense, getting in the QBs face and not giving him time to scan downfield. They've lived in the opponents backfield all season and I don't think this game should be any different What they do need to watch out for is the quick hitter passes, if they send 5 or 6 Sevier's athletes could turn a 3 yard pass into a 15 yarder really quick. Overall I think the Trojans stay strong on D and generate enough offense to get the win. 24-17 West.

How does a team drop 3 spots in a bye week?

I think right now West needs to worry about Sevier County and Tennessee High, and winning their first outright district title since 06. I'm not ready to call them a real state title contender until they get over that Sevier County hump. That said, I think they should beat both of them but I really hope they're not looking past anyone.
