Well they won, &they got some speed but don't look like the Crockett County we are used to seeing but it was just a jamboree so they probably didn't show all of their cards.

Big Swo I dont hold that much of a grudge, too much football, we can just agree to disagree. & I wasn't being sarcastic with my apology I just dont think they should have done that, I didnt wanna make everyone mad. Wow no respect I just dont think they should have set by the statue there was plenty of grass for them to sit on the other teams didnt have a problem with that. I guess you'll defend them to the end. It isn't that big a deal I just think they should appologize. Guess people in Union City will just rest wherever. The kids after the game when I was a kid & I did something like that my bottom would be red, guess people just dont know how to respecy property at all these days. Also we dont mind people being around it but it made a few people mad that they were sitting on the base of it during the football game. I am surprised people are ok with it but our morals have went downhill I dont hold that much a grudge. I dont think the mustang footballs players will sit on any statues in Union City during Week 3 if you got any.

Duckman I always go to the game even when we were not a great team. I found out about this forum last year or would have went on here a long time ago because I like talking about the other area teams as well used to love reading the ONTHEBALL magazine I miss that magazine as a matter of fact they dont have it anywhere around here guessing they cancelled it. I post on other topics not just Huntingdon's but yeah it dont surprise me most of them weren't here beforehand. Mustangs fans aren't as vocal as some of the teams we play we were getting better last year hope it continues before that the only thing I remember everybody chanting was boo. If its not a touchdown no cheering. Last year we got better I hope it continues.

Westview usually loses the first few games as of late but I'm picking them in a close on 17-14. Why is Westviews week 0 game always on Thursday it was when they played Huntingdon as well does anyone know if Martin is doing something else that Friday???

I predict Union City wins 21-7.

They were sitting on the base of the statue I just didn't think that showed much class. I got a picture if you want me to post it I will but I rather not I just think they should have sit on the grass like the other teams were. I dont think they are bad kids or nothing like that I just thought that was a little disrespectful. Well we will know for sure about how good they are after Wayne County week 1 and Huntingdon Week 3.

As much as I agree Huntingdon had a brutal schedule last year I think Riverside had the toughest in West Tennessee, they run a gauntlet at the beginning of the season most teams would have given up after the gauntlet they had at the beginning of the season. Hope they win more games this year but not this week

yeah perry countys going to not be as good this year rebuilding years stink I hate it when Huntingdon went throught it a few years ago, Perry County will bounce back just like Union City is this year.

Wayne County are defending 1A champs till they get knocked out they are the champ so my vote goes to them, Trousdale is great too, Lake County is good sometimes but they look to be rebuilding it seems. Just guessing someone is going to not know how to read and say a town 1A school in a minute I bet. And to the topic creater MTscouter, theGURU might get mad you didnt mention Perry County just sayin.

Cardfan tell them to open one in Carroll County preferably Huntingdon but anywhere will do. & Butchie I know you are a mod so can you check the times on these posts the time thing is out of whack for some reason and some post are lower than they should be I dont know why or if you can fix it, but thought I would mention it.

Like the passing game but Swenson doesn't like to pass hopefully they have proven to him that they can do that cause it'll open the running game. It just doesnt look as good a running game as the past. But a very great team for sure. It'll be where it needs to be I'm sure you cant tell much from a scrimmage though we'll have to wait and see.

I don't think it'll be a pushover though we will make you earn it for sure. At least its at Paul Ward stadium. We still got 8 weeks to get that offense going too. But man I'll be honest BIGPURPLEMACHINE Milan has a lot of seniors this year, and like I said looking for revenge. I'll talk more about that game when the time is right, right now we've only played jamborees lol. I was impressed with your win over Henry County, even though it was a jamboree.

Well Huntingdon won their jamboree 21-0 against Lake County & Riverside lost their jamboree against Chester County (a 4A powerhouse last year their game overshadowed our Milan Huntingdon game which I am a little mad about as I think Huntingdon & Milan were better than both them teams and had a tradition and rivalry behind it.) Its hard to go by a jamboree so I'm going to say this Huntingdon has got a great defense, but couldn't tell anything about their defense. Riverside has got a very young team. I'm going to say Huntingdon will win 28-0, I might be wrong about the points we score its hard to say but I dont think Riverside can score on that defense unless they let the freshmen play. Maybe I'll be wrong by a field goal or two.

I don't remember being big headed only teams I saw us possibly losing to was Milan & Wayne County and we won the first one. I thought from the look of things as the season was going on if they played each other the winner would win state. We also played a lot of good teams such as Camden & I'll give your team Perry County their dues as they were great too and exploited a weakness on our deep passing defense which I think helped Wayne County. At the same time I think Milan had a better team than us but guess what, we were in a lot better shape, & I bet Bulldog Coach Morris got them in shape after they played us. But Guru last years last year, I think our defense is great but I think our offense still needs a little more tuning I think we will get there though. If everyone stays healthy I think it will be a great year to be a Huntingdon football fan again. Not sure if we will go undefeated though. Milans going to want revenge so its too early to tell. I can't tell too much from a jamboree Lake County was sloppy especially the center & I hope he gets better as Mustang fans remember how that goes.

I'm going to say it'll be a close game but Adamsville will upset Chester County 17-14. Both teams are going to be great heard. & while I'm at it hey Cardfan, I was watching wbbj Channel 7 and seen a Saw Meal commercial on tv glad to see they are open again

I am very interested in seeing how good Union City looks tonight a I know it is early and there is still a lot of time but I wonder if the mustangs will be playing them twice this year, if so I hope Mustangs beat them the second time but we both have to make it there first.
