Update on Macon Co. They have won 5 and lost 3(if you count hall of fame games.) Wins are Trousdale Co, Gordonsville x2, Gallatin, and Clay County Losses are Lebanon(HOF), Livingston(HOF), and Hendersonville. They are an athletic team, who can shoot well. This team has a chance to be really good.

Gregory for Macon is cleared to play and has seen game action the past few games. Macon won 77-61. Macon's inside game was the difference. Clay can shoot the ball well.

Personally I see a 3 or 4 win season with the losses that the Tigers had at QB, WR, OL, and Safety.

How will the Lafayette bunch fare on the gridiron in the 3rd year of the Pemberton regime?

Rooting for the Yellow Jackets the rest of the way since Macon is out. If FC has some improved quarterback play, I think this can be a game, but if not it will be a repeat of the 1st game. will go TC by 2 or 3 scores. 24-7.

I was and am unaware if anyone wanted or wants him to go. Everybody I talk to is very complimentary of the job he has done. I am personally impressed by him and I know many more people that are.

While Macon is irrelevant in 5a, Westmoreland will continue to be irrelevant in 3a. As good of a coach as Jackie Kelly is, not even he has been able to turn around the train-wreck that is Motown. I watched Westmoreland two times in the past 2 years and they were the least talented team I seen both seasons. Wanna talk about irrelevant? You seem to forget that Macon was 2-8, 1-9, and 0-10 before Pemberton got here. Not to mention 3 head coaches in 3 years. My advice to you will be to hush and worry about your Eagles, and not about MC. You must be truly worried about what he can do if he decides to stay here for numerous years, otherwise you would not continue to ramble about it. Besides, who are your sources that tell you that Macon will be 5a? do you know somebody within the TSSAA?

I heard on 104.5 that this was a heck of a game. Congrats to Dekalb on a great turn around season. No shame in coming up a few plays short against Giles Co.

Pearl Cohn is not mediocre, and for that matter Smith County is not really overrated. Late turnovers cost them the game. Pearl Cohn has some great athletes just as I thought they would. I was really impressed with Smith Co's Defense. Pretty decent game. Good luck to both in the future.

This Liberty team would stomp your beloved Eagles into oblivion. That weak Macon D held the Eagles to 14 if I am not mistaken.

Is it your life goal to constantly get on the computer and bash MC. Seems like last weeks loss still has you scratching your head. Fortunately for MC, they have bigger fish to fry this week in a very athletic and fast Liberty team that is gonna present challenges for the Tigers. Macon might not win, but thats 2 years in they have advanced and you have been sitting at home on the couch watching Hawaii vs. Lousiana-Lafayette.

I wouldnt say that Tech is the underdog, I would say that more Macon people have probably got on here and voted.

If I cant get it worked out to go watch Macon @ Liberty Tech, this is the game i will be coming to. I have seen Smith Co. twice and they are the most impressive team that Macon played this season in my opinion. Then I watched them handle a pretty good White House team pretty easily. I would say this particular game is a toss up. Smith is well coached and has a stout D. Not to mention #4 and #25. Even though I have not seen Pearl Cohn play, I would say just as always they are fast and athletic. I will go a touchdown game either way, but if I had to pick right now, I would say Smith wins in a squeaker.

Even though I support Macon Co., I will be hard-pressed to pick them to win. I hope I am wrong, but I just feel that we will get out talented come Friday night. Anyway, Go Tigers, and give it your all. Take it one play at a time and do not get frustrated if something does not go your way early on, and I believe we will have a chance in the 4th quarter. If we give up a big play and get frustrated early on, it could be a long night. Its a new season Tigers. Good luck
