  1. Best arm Basile Morristown East. He threw one from deep center against Jeff which one bounced to the catcher almost catching the runner. Best all around outfielder may be Crouch from Jeff. Great speed and glove. Crouch may be the best lead off batter in East Tennessee. Has power too. Basile hit two 400 ft home runs in a DH against us. Both cover alot of ground in center. Best good prospects as only underclassmen
  2. Drew Bowlin has had a couple of blasts this year. Any others out there?
  3. After trouncing West in the first game, Jeff gave one back in the second.
  4. Jeff will make mince meat of the two Morristown teams this week. I don't know that anyone but Greeneville will be able to compete with them this year. I look for Jeff to make it to the state this year. Bowlin is a real man behind the plate with a stable of pitchers matched by none in East Tennessee.
  5. Farragut and it won't be a close as you think.
  6. Not a good move, especially when your father is the coach. I say stay in school and don't go to UT . He can play anywere in D1, so why play for your dad and be accused of favortism. Besides it will probably demoralize a segment of the team (players). It is just not a wise move all around. I have seen too many coaches destroy their team by playing favorites......and this has the potential for being the worst ever move by Big D.
  7. I disagree Jeff County will be the strongest IMAC team. They are loaded at every position with a bullpen full of pitchers. What happened to East ? I guess they havent had a real coach since Griffin. I agree with you on the West coach. He knows the game.
  8. The real question is will anyone beat Farragut, Halls and Jefferson county?
  9. Heritage should be one of the top teams with a slew of experienced seniors and alot of depth in pitching.
  10. Post any players you think are worthy of consideration. Post player, position, school and year. Example Joe Schmoe, CF, Podunk Heights, Junior Will total votes in the future per position for the top ten each year and each position. You can vote as many times as you like.
  11. Drew Bowlin from Jeff County has to be in the top list
  12. Delmonico from Farragut hands down. Maybe one of the best in the nation. I predict he will be drafted highly out of high school in first round
  13. No doubt Wynder is the best combo of shooter and rebounder in the IMAC and East Tenn. But I can think of one or two players in the IMAC and East Tenn who are better "all around" players , which should take into account 1 defense 2 passing 3 assists 4 being a team player and 5ball handling. Don't think I want to get into a argument, but I see that Wynder is a great player, just a few come to mind as having the total package.
  14. Agree. If Shumate 100% you guys may be in trouble. I hope so. Science Hill is a bit cocky. Do you think Omar can play good enough d to stop Shu?
  15. Wow this Osmar guy must be something else. Can't wait to see him and see if he is near as good as you claim. Have seen Basile play and he does it all, no weakness and unselfish. Best passer in high school and unstoppable in the open court. Stats are nice on paper. Maybe they will match up in the region? Not sure Morristown will get there? SH I hear should go all the way. Hear their point guard is even better than Omar and a soph? Have you seen Basile play? Might want to scout him before you play them? But like I said I doubt it will happen. Greenville and Cherokee should be there. I think a healthy Greenville will beat you guys if Shumate is 100%. Go Green Devils!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. A good coach determines the outcome of about 50% of games. How they take their time outs is often critical in changing momentum and regrouping. Also a smaller team can hang with a larger team if they play zone defense and press the ball. Why would some coaches insist on playing man to man with a smaller team situation? It is the close games where the coaches earn their money, which account for about 50%. That is not to say you don't need talent, but developing and recognizing talent are part of the equation. Also playing the right mix of players and putting them in the right position is part of the process. Recognizing selfishness and kids playing as indiviuals rather than team players is one of the critical attirbutes of a good coach. Then of course they need to do something about it. Not doing so destroys the "team unit" ,which is a coaches most powerful weapon.
  17. Agree with you on that one. what ever happened to Palazolla? Where did he go and how is he doing? He appeared to have alot of potential.
  18. looks like the soph's and juniors are dominating this year what do you think? also some good looking freshmen are out there
  19. Before you make your list check out Kent Basile from Morristown. I dont think he plays AAU which may account for his absence but there is not a better all around sophomore let alone player in East tennessee Think he is an all around athlete and plays other sports in summer. Same with Wes Roach from Webb
  20. What are the 2007, 2006 and 2005 rankings? And are these all just AAU players? Some politics involved in that venue too
  21. Bradley wins easily ....will pull away in 4th and not look back. Bradley is too strong, deep and well coached.
