That's not what's happening, I assure you. The Camden win got my attention, but the upset over Milan put everyone on notice. But this region will beat the heck out of each other before it's all said and done.

I agree pretty much with your top 10. I don't know if I'm sold on JCM yet, but they haven't lost so, you gotta put em there. This region is going to get VERY interesting. Also, I REALLY want to see Covington vs Westview. I think Westview may be higher than you have them ranked, but I'm fine with where they are until that matchup happens.

Never said it wasn't a team. Simply stated it'll be an uphill battle against the defending 2A state champions without our starting QB. Doesn't seem like that outlandish of a statement. And, quite frankly, it's disrespectful to #9 for anyone to imply that it's not a huge loss..

Personally, I feel like us getting our teeth kicked in by Milan will be a good thing overall for this team. The defense got gouged by Crockett Co and I said last week we were lucky to come away with a win. Then Milan came to town and beat us for their first ever win on the turf. And it wasn't just that they won. It's how they did it. They lined up and punched us in the face. Their defense played VERY physical. The hardest hitting I've seen from Milan in YEARS. It's been a long time since I've seen a team out-physical Huntingdon. Usually we don't lay an egg like that until playoff time. Hopefully that's the wakeup call this team needed before it's win or go home. If #9 is out this week it's a huge blow, and one we likely can't overcome against a good Riverside team. He's half our offense (or more) and arguably the most important player on our defense. I think we can play with anyone in the state at 100% health, but I'll take Riverside by 14+ if Eubanks can't play. We could be looking at the #3 or #4 seed in this region if we don't get it together. The only saving grace is I don't think seeding matters much until at least the 2nd round anyways..

Definitely not trying to put Surber down at all. He's an athlete! But he's not the prospect that Simpson is. Kid is a FRESHMAN. By the time he graduates, I'd expect him to own every State record for passing stats. I know it's really early, but I can see Simpson playing on Sunday 8 years from now.

Agreed. I hear he's recovering well, but if there's any risk at all, he needs to sit this one out. Kid has too bright of a future to be taking risks with his long-term health.

I agree.. Money makes the world go around. But just from a football point of view, it makes no sense for Huntingdon to want to move this game. We play on turf, so field condition isn't a factor. And in wind and rain, all you can do pretty much is run the ball, which plays into Huntingdon's favor on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. Just would have been a huge advantage for Huntingdon, imo, to play this game in crappy weather.

I feel like bad weather favors the Mustangs.. Anything to keep the ball out of the air..

I think both of these teams were guilty last night of looking forward to this game. It cost Milan a region game at home, while Huntingdon felt lucky enough to come away with a win at Crockett Co. I definitely feel like Mustangs should be the favorites here, but I don't expect it to be a runaway game. If Milan can throw the ball, this one will be competitive. Mustangs have shown all year that the DB's are vulnerable. Gonna have to come up with a better scheme in the secondary. This playing off 10 yards and then not coming up to make a tackle is getting them BURNED.
