  1. That's the guy you can hear through your speakers every time you turn on Vol Radio.
  2. So what you're saying is Cornersville opponents still in the playoffs are undefeated on the year?? Wow.. impressive.
  3. Huntingdon should be ashamed of themselves. Not living up to the standards of Alcoa and Maryville....
  4. Shhh... that doesn't fit the narrative that Huntingdon is a bunch of over-hyped pansies with a bank account the size of Fort Knox competing in 1A with 5A enrollment numbers.. The big metropolis of Huntingdon, has no business playing with these little guys. Huntingdon even has a red light now, for God's sake!
  5. Waverly found their defense. This will be a tough game, but I'm gonna go with Waverly 34-21.
  6. Cornersville, like the name implies, is that little village on the corner of Over-Achiever St and Irrelevant Ave.
  7. What's with the crying about Huntingdon's field? The town of Huntingdon supports their football team as well as any community in west Tennessee. Apparently it's a bad thing to take care of these kids now and give them nice things? TSSAA has book of rules and regulations. And I'm pretty sure they handle all the classifications and THEY relegated Huntingdon to 1A. Huntingdon didn't wake up one day and decide to play a 1A schedule. As a matter of fact, Huntingdon tried to keep as much of those 2A and 3A rivalries going as they could by keeping Camden and Milan on the schedule. Someone please show me in the rulebook where it says that a 1A team can't have a turf field. And that a team can just CHOOSE to player in a lower classification. Y'all out here acting like Huntingdon is the Patriots or something just because the fans love their football and bought them a nice field.
  8. I just wanna know one thing: What is Cornersville's xp % on the season?? Lol. All kidding aside, this should be a fantastic game, and I can't wait to see it. It's the game we've looked forward to all season, and the stars have aligned with it being it is now less than a week away.
  9. He played his heart out tonight. One of the best games I've seen from Mr Ensley. I would bet it was somewhere around 250 or more from him. 2 very long runs and couple deep passes. His receivers also helped him out a couple times tonight, which was good to see. Huntingdon will have to throw the ball to beat Cornersville. MtP obviously had the blueprint early on in the game by stuffing the run. After a couple deep throws they loosened up that defense and opened up the run game for #9, #7, and #13. Those 3 horses are gonna be tough to stop even for a defense as tough as CVille.
  10. 26 on that defense is nothing to be down about.. Wayne Co proving to be the stiffest competition so far for the Bulldogs.
  11. 49-6. 2 mins and counting down in the 3rd. Mustangs are primed and ready for next week's game of the year..
  12. 42-6 Huntingdon.. Clock running as Huntingdon flexes their defensive muscles tonight and apparenty they put in Moses at right guard, because they are parting the sea in the run game.
  13. All the Cornersville folks will see what everyone has been saying about WC. TOUGH football team. Especially this time of year.
  14. I can see that. He runs with his head down crashing into that line every play.. he's not shy slot being physical at all. I love it.
  15. just curious. Why does #46 wear a different helmet?
  16. MtP is imposing their will on the line of scrimmage. Huntingdon having to on up the playbook..
  17. congrats WC. That's a small victory in itself. Now hit em in the mouth..
  18. Oops. For some reason, I thought they pulled that one out.. I'll edit my post
  19. When looking at this year's schedules, Huntingdon has played 3 teams who are moving on to the 2nd round including a 2A and a 3A teams. Those teams include Wayne Co, Waverly, and Milan. All quality wins. Greenback beat two teams who got past the opening round of the playoffs in Coalfield and Oliver Springs. The convincing manner in which they beat Coalfield makes that a quality win. And OS was their closest game of the year, with that EASILY being the most difficult team they've faced. Cornersville faced only one team who is still in contention with that being Mt Pleasant. The jury is still out on just how good that team is. While Eagleville didn't win this weekend, they took Riverside down to the wire, so they had a decent team as well. Just judging by opponent record and success so far this season, Huntingdon wins strength of schedule by a MILE. I would say Greenback is the next most difficult and Cornersville 3rd of the 3. But it's a close gap between those 2.
  20. You really think Greenback is getting beat this year??
  21. The funny thing is, he's not even trash talking with Huntingdon here.. It's with anyone who will listen lol
  22. If I know anything about Wayne Co, that's exactly what they will do.. Win or lose, Wayne Co is gonna play their game. And that's a tough, physical, in your face game.
  23. This is a tough one to judge. Could be close or another blowout. Mount Pleasant had the doors blown off them by C-Ville but then come out and hung 58 on WC. The defense doesn't seem like much which is bad news going up against this Mustang team. I'm gonna go with Huntingdon by a score of 55-27
