  1. Dude, say what you want but we're not exactly healthy walking in here. 2 of our best wrestlers didn't make make trip due to injuries, Dad. I will say this, I'm not afraid to speak my mind nor do I hide behind a keyboard putz.
  2. Congratulations Pigeon Forge, no amount of BS could prevent you guys from taking it back home this time.
  3. Or out of trouble, or motivated, or any number of things. I've seen more than a few really good HS wreslers flame out within the 1st semester of a college season.
  4. Depends on how he feels sometimes. When he's "in it" mentally he's darn good and Shannon usually has them ready this time of the year.
  5. I'll take Elkins over Brenot if they match up. Brenot has gotten stronger over the years (which has been a weakness of his) but Elkins has the type of strength that if you're not used to it will get you put your back. I just think the 2 years age gap shows up in this one.
  6. The last sentence hits the nail on the head perfectly.
  7. Duncan Cave from Greeneville was a monster too, I've heard his lifts were pretty high back in the day.
  8. McCallie's coaches will tell you Howard's numbers are higher than what's listed on the recruiting boards. Pre-injury, the coaches told me they wouldn't let him squat anything over 675 and said he could max out over 700 no problem. Regardless, he's definitely a strong kid but I'm not buying he's going to manhandle anyone that has a realistic shot of placing at Heavyweight. If anything, this kind of silly talk just painted a target on his back when ideally you'd want his opponents to overlook him.
  9. This isn't about Clevenger, I'm referring to the match with Cable. Fleeing the mat and taking a dive is no way to win a match.
  10. You tell me, if your own crowd is telling you to take the dive for the DQ you know what's up. I've been on the opposite end of this exact situation against PF and they did not encourage their kid to take the DQ.
  11. Let these guys live in their bubble. I can name more than a few stronger than Cummins, just off the top of my head I'd go with Dee Parker from Red Bank or even James Howard from McCallie.
  12. More like a hashtag, but when your own crowd is yelling #DontGetUp then it's pretty bad. I've seen better dives from Greg Louganis, but that one was pretty bad.
  13. You'd be surprised at how much we actually do agree on things, but no way I'd want to win like that. I don't think you all would either, but I'd rather lose by 30 than to win by DQ like that.
  14. No King huh? Can't wait for this one...
  15. The same 195 beat him last year and lost by 1 to him earlier this year. If he wins it will be an upset and I'm picking Langford.
  16. I'm sure Fairview knows, Pigeon Forge sure does.
  17. I've seen him have trouble with 195 pounders, so not buying he wins at 285.
  18. We agree once again. None of Todd's matches are pretty, keeps scores low and tight. I've had a .500 record coaching against him over the years and they've all been 2-1, 3-2, or 1-0 scores.
  19. You must be from Anderson County.
  20. Shelton isn't way better than anyone at 220, I promise you.
  21. Not likely, but I'm willing to hear why you would think that.
  22. Overall better across the state, yes. Easier today to medal or win a title, definitely yes.
