  1. +1 to you my man on the Bradley County observation.
  2. Does anybody know what the kid from Maryville's (Chad Solomon) record is? I know he had the one fluke loss getting pinned by Matlock from Heritage, but does he have any other losses other than that?
  3. Tell em Lee! After I read your post on FB I figured out my question I posted on your page... lol
  4. Heritage (Blount County's version) is a one year wonder. They had a good cycle of kids this year, but don't expect them to be near the top on a yearly basis.
  5. Crane is not beating Solomon, I'd bet my house on it...
  6. Yeah, easy slim. I played at Maryville & trust me... You have no idea of what you're talking about if you think otherwise. I wasn't on either of those teams, but I was on a pretty good one before that & went on to do some things athletically after that. Did you, boy?
  7. I would have to agree with Bohannon since he ran me over one good time, but he didn't scare me as much as Roy Howard. I about pissed myself when I had to cover him against you guys...
  8. Donte Hickey no doubt. Played against him twice & he was the real deal. Travis Cozart would be in there too...
  9. Embarrassed who? Pearl? You have to be on crack to think that... I just spoke with Troy Fleming who said TC was good that year, but no way. They wouldn't have beat Maryville that year either. Don't give me stats, scores, etc. because all those would be super inflated due to the weak sauce competition TC plays. Pearl had multiple D1 recruits that year with 4 of those going to schools in the SEC & two of those went to the NFL. Maryville had 3 D1 recruits on their O line alone. Name me one player from TC's '97 team that can say that? heck, even Melrose would have whipped TC that year with all the talent they had. Cedric Wilson, Andre Lott, & Kendall Moorehead & they all played in the NFL.
  10. It's "you're right", but I am not wrong on this one. No way in heck Trousdale could have touched the '97 or '98 Maryville squad. That 1998 team is probably the best Maryville team ever, & TC for sure they couldn't have touched the '97 Pearl Cohn team with John Henderson & Santonio Beard. I'm not saying TC wasn't good for their class, but you have to be realistic...
  11. Thank McCallie, they're the main reason for the split as far back as 1997.
  12. Heath had a previous relationship with Eric before he came to Cleveland. Eric was instrumental in bringing one of our (I wrestled at UTC from 1996-2000) teammates John Sever to Chatt. After John graduated, he went back home to Miami to help Eric coach at Michael J Crop High School. I used to go down in the summer & work with those guys when I was on vacation in South Florida. Eric ran a very successful program down there & John has been leading the Miami wrestling scene ever since.
  13. Lol, you act like Hamm is some big, bad dude. Knowing Hamm like I do, I doubt Je would take any real offense to anything that was said...
  14. Good season Heritage, but the closest you guys will get is 4th. It will still be the highest finish a team from Blount County has ever had though, but this is a Cleveland-Soddy race all the way.
  15. No way, anybody who believes that needs their noggin checked.
  16. No, you don't get offers based on wins & losses smart ####. I would almost guarantee that I know more about the recruiting process than you, so no need to educate me on how & why kids get offers.
  17. God bless, you guys must be “on it†like the Purple Ribbon All Stars... Guess that explains why I kept thinking that one of Whitehaven's coach looked like my "guy" I had back in college. Saying that the HC is the best talent developer in the state is the single dumbest thing I have ever heard. If he was so great, they should have WAXED Maryville. The reality is this, no metro school be it Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville, wherever will ever have the dynasty run Maryville has been on the last 15 years. There are too many schools in metro areas to compete for the top talent in their respective area & kids move around much more than they do in the smaller counties. I'm not taking anything away from this year's WH team, but c'mon dude... Everyone in the state except you two agree that Maryville was robbed, but at least act like you've been there before. It's obvious you two guys never won a championship in your lives b/c that's all you talk about. Even worse is that you didn't even play in the game.
  18. Does anyone know if Ridge reffed this last contest between the two?
  19. Well, my prediction would be; 1. Pigeon Forge 2. Hixson 3. Greeneville 4. Eagleville I really don't know much about the small schools this year outside of Hixson & PF, but Greeneville has been good for a while now & I know Eagleville has a few guys that are ranked. Other than Pigeon Forge the level of competition at the small school level is ok at best.
  20. Might want to edit the title due to an error in spelling, but I predict a PF Hixson final with PF taking it this year.
  21. This is my 1st post on the basketball board & I don't profess to knowing a whole lot about the current teams in TN. However, I read on another site that Corn is being looked at by Coach Martin from UT & there is a possibility that he may get offered. I haven't seen him play basketball (although I have in football), would he be worth the scholly say as an incoming PG? I know we need PG's bad since Golden just isn't cutting it, but if you were the coach would you risk a scholly to Corn?
