  1. Of course they can, but have you ever stopped to think that maybe it's because MCS has some testing procedures that wouldn't necessarily be considered "above board"?
  2. Good to hear you're coming this way, check your Facebook messenger.
  3. If they're wrestling they've more than likely been playing football to begin with, so it wouldn't be anyone new to either team.
  4. Not sure the football team really gave McDonald a fair shot, but it worked out in his favor.
  5. Recheck #4, Hayden McDonald did indeed put on a football jersey. He decided to focus on wrestling mid way through his Sophomore season. The previous year, our 3rd place Heavyweight was Mr. Gumm.
  6. Not necessarily football related, but a certain principal is going bring down the whole ship if they stay in charge.
  7. I think they told us on a Tuesday, but the tournament was moved to Thursday & Friday as you said. Everything else has been relatively smooth from my experience.
  8. If anything, the girls is simpler. One classification, one champion. Not sure what is jacked up about the girls division other than we need more girls competing to later have arguments over how many classifications we should have....
  9. I'm a Maryville guy and not sure I'd have us in the top 20. This was our peek year and I doubt your assessment of us always having good upperweights is going to continue.
  10. Wolfe ain't pinning McDonald and is definitely NOT significantly better. It was a 3-2 match when they faced off and would be a 50/50 split out of 10 match ups.
  11. We've picked up a few Cali kids on the wrestling team, both come from good backgrounds so no complaints there. One in particular is one of the top 12u golfers on the planet and wrestles in the off season to stay in shape. I'm not sure who our best golfer ever is but he'll be pushing for that title by the time he's in HS.
  12. Correct my man, that 95-96 Overton team would be my pick!
  13. There are several early matchups I'll be watching. The 138 pound class in particular has several early match ups that will be interesting to watch Day 1. The Long vs Hosford match will be one of the few 1st round matchups period where 2 medalists go at it from the get go.
  14. I got coach's lounge tix, not much better.
  15. I agree 100%. Catch me up there if possible, be happy to meet you.
  16. Everything is on Trackwrestling
  17. No one has the title "official rankings guru". Even Rokfin has errors, but if you want to try & have things changed then by all means have at it.
  18. 165 is down from last season on depth, the top 4 are pretty much going to be Piper and everyone else IF she stays there. I have no idea where she goes & she'll win at either class, but I came close to putting her at 152 since she's down there and Harris moving to 145. Diamond too at 185, that could be a game changer. I'm not sure if those 3 moves are permanent after the duals but those drops were obvious (to me) after I saw our weigh in sheets from the match we had @ Cleveland for substate. Although unlikely, a Fowler-Graham-Gilmore 152 pound field or a Murphey-Lynn-Young 185 group would definitely give the girls tournament some added juice with matches like that.
  19. Yes I had Enos there, but going back through recent results led me to putting Sepulveda there. There were others in that mix I could have put at 6th too (Harris from Oakland was close), but looking at her body of work I went with Sepulveda.
