Trousdale County @ Nashville Christian
kenmynattcpa replied to thenextone's topic in Class 1A & Class 2A
Yawn.....29-7. Would be 36-0, refs showed some compassion and called back to back personal fouls on NCS, allowing TC some points. TC has some speed, but against "The Gold Standard of 1A Football", it's just not enough. The former coach leaving, understandably so, extinguished the inner fire on his way out the door. With NCS moving on, TC with a coach in place, should return to winning whatever the TSSAA dreams up next (districts, regions, etc.) -

PROJECT A MATCHUP neutral field [2016] Nashville Christian (Nashville, TN) 26, [2016] Trousdale County (Hartsville, TN) 19 If NCS NT/TE back - NCS - 42 TC - 17 - If not......TC 24 - NCS - 17. Should be quite the playoff intensity atmosphere -
Who was injured?
-
I would agree. MTC was in the NCS backfield all night. Multiple sacks and TFL. NCS line didn't appear to stay with their blocks. Coaches will get it corrected for next week.
-
Final - NCS 20 - 17. MTC had a great game plan to take advantage of NCS missing their DI nose tackle/TE. Great game. MTC is a really good team especially at home.
-
NCS up 20-17 with 1:14 left
-
He must be. MTC is running right up the middle on NCS. This is not looking good..

I thought the following was self-evident but........... Correct! Trousdale's PLAYERS are winners. No one is disputing that. The point of this discussion is on the actions and statements of the athletic directors/coaches and certain of their fans. No ONE has stated anything about players and no one SHOULD EVER do that. Correct! It will be a tough game. No one said it wasn't going to be.

Fact: Trousdale & Lewis Co. TSSAA committee members were instrumental and sponsored the rule change which has caused this mess. Fact: A majority of Trousdale Co. Posters have been extremely disrespectful and accusatory towards NCS and have whined, moaned, and cried foul on a continual basis. You want to call stating the facts as being a ridiculous point/post, go ahead and put your head in the sand, and look the other way. Pointing out facts isn't being disrespectful.

Amen! These same whiners will be on here next year after NCS is in D-II complaining about the same crap after they find a new boogeyman. They'll probably target the open enrollment schools next. They can't and won't admit it comes down to coaching, hard work, and dedication. Coach Brothers and his staff work tireously. The players bust their butts in the weight room and classroom. It is a total partnership between the coaches and players. I don't post much anymore unless someone gets out of line but several years ago I was quite vocal concerning how NCS was going to rise due to the excellent leadership of Coach Brothers and his amazing staff. I'm trying to remember some of the words the nay-sayers and whiners used....insane, crazy, NCS has no chance, no tradition....bring em on was the chant. My, my, my. Now look at the Rogue's Gallery of incessant cry-babies from Trousdale, and their assorted ilk. The only school whose posters don't whine is Wayne County because they have a great coach and players that work hard. WC is a class act. They will take on anybody, anytime, anywhere. No excuses, no whining, just smash you in the mouth. They hit NCS harder than anyone by far. NCS fans were sweating it. We knock them down, they get right back up, hit harder, and score. And if it weren't for a few turnovers against NCS, they would have been the team holding the Gold Ball last year. So whiners, it's not going to matter how you change the rules, the classifications, etc. You want to make a difference? Get involved. Support your program financially. Send your coach to some training sessions. Have them watch some U-Tube videos..... Throw away your crying towels and man up. I've seen less drama from a pack of beauty pageant moms. Gees..... Nashville Christian @ Gordonsville
kenmynattcpa replied to thenextone's topic in Class 1A & Class 2A
It appears you inadvertently omitted a few facts.... NCS is extremely talented, but they can be beat when a couple referees decide too change the outcome of a football game by calling 8 personal fouls on NCS in the 2nd half (White House Heritage) and when they play a DII-AA school JPII). JB and Monterey both moved the ball on (NCS's 2nd and 3rd team defense) them at times and took advantage of (NCS calling off the dogs after the 1st Quarter) things. It's an uphill battle, that's for sure. I have a good feeling (because I doubled up on my meds today ) we'll get there NCS - 55 Gordonsville - 18 .....tiger meat taste like chicken - ......... -
Gordonsville looks like they have figured some things out after Week 2. Anyone know what they did? They are playing with a purpose now. They could very well win the region.

Great post! Although I'm NCS 110%, Greenback obviously has a great team and coaches as evidenced by their dismantling of Columbia Academy. Holding CA to 14 points is just unbelievable. This game is going to be tough for NCS. Greenback might even be leading at the half. I don't expect NCS players or coaches to be over confident coming in. -

Well one website thinks GB has a shot.... PROJECT A MATCHUP neutral field [2015] Nashville Christian (Nashville, TN) 31, [2015] Greenback (TN) 21 Of course this same website predicted [2015] Nashville Christian (Nashville, TN) 28, [2015] Peabody (Trenton, TN) 26 Thanks to Peabody, cause: PROJECT A MATCHUP neutral field [2015] Union City (TN) 35, [2015] Nashville Christian (Nashville, TN) 31 NCS wouldn't have matched up well with UC. But the way NCS played tonight they might just have beaten UC. Mentally it would have been tougher than the Golden Tide. -
Wayne County would have mercy ruled Trenton-Peabody. Wayne County should win it all next year.

I think that run shows #35 is Mr. Football to you!

Questions for the Peabody fans. What happened in that first meeting with Dresden? Did you really lose 39-0? That's an incredible turn around to beat Dresden in the rematch 28-24. Was it weather, bad game plan, etc?
