  1. I don’t know what to make of the cpa - hillsboro game - that score surprised me. ba was up 50-0 against them at half and cpa beats ensworth??? I just don’t know what to think about it all. i have tried to rationalize it but I just confuse myself - is ensworth down from where I imagined ? Did cpa have a bad game ? Did hillsboro just okay well ? Was hillsboro just shell shocked at ba ? I have no earthly idea what to make of the cpa losses or Hillsboro’s season to be honest.
  2. I still believe whitehaven is the best team in Memphis this year - including all the privates and even with the loss to L. play that game 10 times white haven wins most IMO. Another run at state possible and east central is wide open to a point this year. I think maryville could win rematch with O if that happens my crystal ball forecast
  3. Good point - they never really established the run all night - I think they had 180 yards total all night and threw the ball an awful lot I’ll need to look at the stats but they were scrambling and throwing short passes up the middle all night. They had moments where they looked really good but only a few drives all night. They had a few third and short yardage where they had to punt. Anyways - was a fun atmosphere to watch a game - would love to see more of these in state
  4. Catholic confuses me a little - they have 3 sec lineman on that team and several skill players who will go sec or mid major - I would have thought the game would have been closer. Idk maybe going both ways hurts them but ba has many kids doing the same. they sure looked good in those uniforms though just a head scratcher for me. I thought after the 1st q we had a ball game. ba had more team speed esp on defense so maybe that had something to do with it as well good luck to you guys this year
  5. Why is that hard to admit rebelron - you are one of the classy poster on here in the past - what do you hate to admit ? And why ? I hate to admit that you guys can not get outside of your own ego and admit another team is pretty good ? Or do you have a disdain for ba ? It’s your business but just classless in my mind to follow up a rude comment with another one after your first comment which now seems to be a backhanded compliment you are above this kind of nonsense.
  6. Why because it reflects negatively on Maryville’s win against catholic ? Or something else I am not picking up on — Some of you guys are just unbelievable to me on here.
  7. On a side note I have enjoyed the new alignment this year - seems like scheduling has opened up somewhat for many teams. I hope to see more scheduling among the best teams in Tennessee going forward
  8. I think catholic is a fine team - they have had good games and some not so good one- they lost to 3 of the best teams in the south east 99 percent of teams in tn would be 0-3 against those teams
  9. 24-7 ba at half - ba has ball to start 2nd. Ba had to shake a little 2 week rust off but got things moving. KC looks great at times but I just don’t think they can run the ball on ba. Ba started to play the pass better after the 1st big catholic drive and started to get pressure on qb. i like the KC q b — good arm / quick and good receivers. Ba started to control the lines as they have all year -made things tough for KC in the 2nd.
  10. I'll be at the game as well as UT - really looking forward to both. i really am not sure what to make of BA this year at this point. Yeah there is the top 10 in nation hype from a poll or two but I am just not sure. At times they have looked exceptional but the father Ryan game was close until the 4th quarter and the Texas team hung in there ( even though I believe they had 17 players on that team who have d 1 scholarship offers. Ba did dominate the stats and both sides of the ball and the score could have been more lopsided if not for a few turnovers . i think catholic ( from what I see ) can match up against ba but imo here is the key to the game --can catholic stop ba just enough to stay in the game. Ba has a terrific defense this year so can catholic match scores with ba to keep it close. Catholic certainly can put up points as we have seen in spades but they are prone to the off game ( ga team ) If catholic plays like they did versus Baylor and maryville they certainly have a shot at ba. I am hoping for a good tough game. The Texas team that lined up against ba was huge with mutiple d 1 major college prospects and ba held them to 1 yard per carry. Catholic will need to mix it up and sling the ball some which I understand they do really well. I'm looking forward to making the trip to Knoxville and happy they are playing Ba at home this year.
  11. By the way - from my experience people use polls when they go in favor or their team or their division or their whatever but are quick to discount them when they don't
  12. I tend to agree with you. It does seem this year there is a bit more equality in 6a. Should make for one of the more interesting state playoffs in recent memory - i am not entirely sure there is a clear cut favorite in 6 a as of now - even though people will make a case for Oakland I'm not sure there is much more than a threads difference between the top teams. Even ravenwood has surprised me at times this year so it may come down to who improves most from here on out- but maybe 6a just has more parity this year and that equality will run out through year end ---that will make the games later on even more interesting.
  13. No - your win loss percentage is what was laughable. Dead last every year. You are as lost as last years easter egg when. It comes to football.
  14. You finish last in bgim contest every year so obviously you don't know football in your own town and seem to be on here to constantly stir up problems and spout out negative post whenever you can - so I will continue to comment on your post whenever I wish. I'm not trying to impress you or anyone else on here just get tired of the non football rants.
  15. A How do you know what color I am ? B I would be willing to bet everything I have that I do more in the inner city than anyone you know. I was born and raised in the inner city and I have dedicated my life to fighting for people who have nothing. But that fight is about education and bridging the gap not hate. you are living out your own dream just like everyone else . I just get tired of your rants about the things you rant about on here that have nothing to do with football. Ben Harper wrote why are the first ones to ask always the last to give every time. So I hope you put your money where your mouth is and actually do something to help. Merry Christmas
  16. Your view of the world is not everyone's view- you can always go down the path of fear and scarcity or the one where you see what is going right . I have worked in the inner city and have run a charity for 20 years so I get it on a level maybe even you can't see but I chose to see the good and see what is going right and I also chose to see the miracle of people when they come together. I think most white and. Black people are doing the best they can and most of us no matter what color we are love other people including people who don't look like us. That's my only gripe with you man - you always find the negative in everything and it's your pain body you hang on to. How about we tell some stories of hope and inspiration and point out the many good people and great stories of friendship and hope which is what happens most often when we do things together as one people
  17. Why would a black man who coached at Maryville or any other predominately white community be an Uncle Tom ? Does a black man need to coach at a mostly black inner city school to be accepted by the black community ?
  18. Giant congratulations to George. What a great opportunity for him. I know he will be just as successful as he was at Maryville. The world needs more coaches like him and I hope he goes on and is as successful as he can be on the college level
  19. That's my last post on here because I respect the Maryville thread but read the quote above -
  20. I only jumped in when people stared stalking smack about ba - the thread was top 10 in state. I never take shots at schools , or kids or call someone names and you can go back and look at all my post if you want. I have a history with the from Memphis as well as on here. We may disagree but are always respectful to each other and stick to football . So you can blow your smoke up someone else's butt on here because people know me and they know I take the high road unless people come after me or start saying stuff about schools and kids that is degrading. So like I said you keep on with the name calling and insulting schools so you feel better about yourself and I'll just keeps sending those into coach t to review. It's one thing to disagree about football - and who really cares who would win . Adult men should be able to express their opinion about football without acting like a 12 year old
  21. Dude - seriously. People can take a friendly ribbing but you take it too far. The only people who find it amusing or funny are your few other Alcoa friends on here. Calling people names and putting down schools is just nonsense. If you can't make your case using facts or a logical argument then each time you say something derogatory I will send the post to coach t. They will either get tired of your big mouth and oversized 3 a ego or shut down my page so I stop . I'm perfectly cool not being on here but something tells me it's such a big part of your life you will not.
