Thanks Swo for the confidence in our boys. I have to agree with you on where the Gold is going this year. I realiz all the hype is about Gordy and all those seniors they have. But there was a lot of hype about us last year too and we came up short. That week before we played Wayne County I would have bet the farm we would win but we didn't. Just goes to show that all that hype doesn't get you the first down, that extra point, that diving catch or anything else. It's those boys out there on the field that truely believe that they can move you off the ball, that they can break that tackle and get the first down, that can beat you around the corner to get the TD and that they have complete faith that their coach is making the right calls. This Friday night I again would bet the farm that our boys know exactly what is at stake and how they need to respond to all the hype. I rarely put scores to my prediction but this week I say it will be Huntingdon 56 WC 21. Folks this is our year and these kids are in the zone!!

Swing juice you hit the nail on the head!! Only thing is that it won't matter how they come out. Huntingdon is coming and they bringing the wood!!

RB I think these kids are very focused on what they have to do this Friday I also thinks its ok to use the past to motivate the future!! one game at a time is the motto they are hearing and telling each other!

Swo there will be plenty of intensity for this game! These boys have fight to pick with this WC bunch! This won't be just a game, this has gotten personal for these kids. Not saying there will be anyone bring ugly or personal fouls. Just saying there may a couple extra pieces wood brought from the woodshed we took UC too lol

I believe you could add Tyler Bush and Jacob Blake in there as well. Only juniors but definitely deserving!

I have seen both and we just didn't see Dresden as being that good Tide. Defense wasn't that good and offense was average at best IMO. Not throwing darts lions fans, only going off what I saw when we played y'all. Trenton is aggressive and quick.

Lol well if all that is true then that means Huntingdon should be the underdog Friday night against WC since they are the # 2 seed and at home and went to semis last year ? I think not! Trenton lost to Dyersburg, Milan and Huntingdon. I dare say that Dresden would have lost to all 3 as well, especially after losing so badly to Huntingdon a couple of weeks ago.

Peabody in this one and I don't think it's even close. I can only go by what I have seen when we played both teams and Trenton is much faster and more athletes than Dresden.

Ok Champion, you been talking the talk now let's see if WC is ready to walk the walk'!! I'm telling you that I have not seen three worse beatings of 3 fine football teams than I have the last 3 weeks. Huntingdon is clicking on all cylinders and your War Eagles are next! Strap those helmets on tight Eagles cuz the Mustangs are bringing the WOOD to WC!! And that you can take to the bank! Just ask our newest fan Big Swo from UC!!

I said it after we played Trenton that I didn't think they would lose another game on their schedule! Mustangs wishing you luck through the playoffs! Hope to see y'all at the big dance with both teams representing the West!!

Ok so I went a different direction lol as to fans and how they act? Who doesn't have a few over zealous fans in their towns? I'm just glad we have the fan support we do. Our kids feed off of it and they like to hear us get loud and proud!! Nothing wrong with that for sure!

I don't know which kids your referring to but I'm around a lot of them and I can assure you that LC is the only thing on their minds. There is a fine like between big headed and confident. Yes our boys are very confident that they can win it all. However WC put things into perspective for not only our boys but our coaching staff when they beat us. We looked a lot like Dressen when we played them, we will look like the Huntingdon team you saw Friday night from this point on. I have faith that our kids and coaches are not taking any game lightly going forward! One game at a time and they all feel that way about it. We talk about the WC rematch because it inspires them to play harder. They know that loss put us on the road vs home field advantage throughout the playoffs and now they wanna do whatever they need to do to get that 2nd chance and show their fans and themselves that they are better than WC period! Whew I feel better now. WC won't agree and that's ok, makes for better drama throughout the playoffs!! Haha

Sorry Swo, but West Carroll is ours is ours to send into BB season. We have a bone to pick and a point to prove as well. Like I said, on that given night they beat us, but they won't do it twice and our boys are praying for that rematch down the road. We could play it in Walmart parking lot as far as they are concerned lol First step though is taking care of lake county!

There's no toss up between these 2. I guess anything could happen but Huntingdon has clearly the better team and has already proved it once.

Not sure how you figured all that but I can assure you Huntingdon is better than a #10 ranking my friend. Get some video and watch.

The TSSAA will announce this morning around 11 I think.
