Who will be the teams to beat in Region 4A this year?

I think he has accuracy issues. He had several easy TD passes overthrown against CCHS. Not to mention his first pass was almost picked for what would have more than likely been six. However, he has a cannon of an arm and will make some noise in the playoffs.

I agree. The kids are just in middle school. They will be able to improve before high school and shouldn't be subjected to harsh criticism. Thank you.

You are definitely right about that! Any team that beats Clay County by 31 is really impressive. They probably underestimated Clay County's desire to win the big one and it cost them.

That was some shot by Sydney Roach to end the third quarter. Really gave Clay County the momentum.

I am one of three users to pick all of the Class A games right. I'm disappointed over the lack of respect the contestants have given District 7A.

I know. Those were the worst officials I've ever seen. They should be "future endeavored" immediately. Poor excuse for state tournament officials. CCHS vs JCHS needs referees that will call it down the middle. There is too much at stake for the game to be decided by the referees.

Actually, Clay County hit eight free throws in the last three minutes of the fourth quarter and overtime to win. Turns out that's why they won. Final score Clay County 59, Summertown 57 (OT).

I don't know. I think Summertown's lack of size will play into the Bulldog's hands. Only the really big teams have given them trouble (Jackson County, Clarkrange, and Macon County). CCHS could easily pull this one out, especially if Cooper has a big game. She played pretty bad today but Roach had a big game.

Actually out of their nine losses, eight are to really talented teams (four to JC, 2 to Clarkrange, 2 to Macon County). They are very prepared for this game and could easily pull an upset.

That's good to know because Clay County I am sure will bring all their loyal supporters with them. Also, Clay County is very battled tested as well. They have played Jackson County four times and Clarkrange three times. Also, they played Macon County twice, who almost went to the AA state tournament, and nearly won both times. I am looking forward to a really good match up Thursday at 2:30.

I think the size will give them trouble but I haven't seen a single team that is a better three-point shooting team than Clay County.

Who should win this match up? Also, I have seen Clay County play but I haven't seen Cloudland. How big and fast are Cloudland?

Clay County is actually from Region 4. They beat Whitwell on the road by 21 in the sub state game.

Final score - Clay County 60, Whitwell 39.

So Clay County's post players could eat them up inside right?

Well, High School Girl's Basketball is almost impossible to top in the Upper Cumberland. At least 4 teams are playing in sub-state games Saturday night (CCHS, LA, MCHS, and JCHS).

How big and how fast are Whitwell's girls? They sound like they would be fairly big.

I would love to see Van Buren County defeat Jackson County. However, I do not see it realistically happening. I know that the 8th grader Van Buren County has will help but Jackson County will win by 40-50 easily. McKenzie Hensley and Jacee Coe are just too good for Van Buren County to handle. I seen Van Buren County lose a game 88-13 this year to a team 10-15 points on average worse than Jackson County. It was so ugly that I thought the junior varsity would push them to the 100 point mark with 5 minutes left to go but they slowed. Good luck to Van Buren County Saturday night at Jackson County.

Ezell-Harding won by around 10 yesterday.

Sharon beat Wilson by 20 and Christ the King beat Hermitage Springs by 20 as well. Christ the King should win that game.

Is there anyone that knows information abour teams in the top bracket such as Sharon, Swiss Memorial, or Rural Vale?
