Speaking of cupcakes, I’m going to miss playing DC and all their fantastic fans.

It’s going to be a tough 3-4 in that stretch of games. I just hope folks remember that we play these games to prepare for November. We could easily schedule cupcakes and waltz through the season untouched, and be one of those teams that gets bounced in the first round. Obviously you want to win them all, but some of those situations and lessons learned will be valuable down the road. As far as the Mr. Football thing, we’ll see. He’d be the first to tell you he’d rather have a gold ball. I do feel like if he’s putting up good stats though, the team will be successful because of the balance it will bring on offense.. but we just want W’s and championships. GBR

Several projected starters were out for various reasons. Was good to see some other guys step up though. 10 is going to be a player at WR and in the secondary. 32 is nice young athlete who will help this team somewhere. I was worried about a compliment to Z in the backfield, but 17, 1, 35 can all carry the rock. Lots of young inexperienced talent. By mid season they’ll have their feet wet and be ready to go.

The field will be ready for week one, maybe even the jamboree.

They were good, and the more physical team last night. Which surprised me, because regardless of the outcome, there’s not many times that we’re not the most physical team. We have a long way to go, but there were some bright spots. They were running blitz packages on defense and screens/gimmicks on offense, while we stayed pretty vanilla. I’d rather be vanilla in a scrimmage and save the good stuff for week one. CBHS is a very good football team, and should go far in their division.

Caden is the real deal. He’s a high level D1 athlete. Great ball skills and can play anywhere you put him. Look for him to lineup lots of places on both sides. Kid can play. Don’t forget the other Kendall too, Zamariyon and Jayce both are as huge of pieces to this team as anyone. I know there will be some younger ones and some upper class men step up too. I like this team a lot, especially by week 6 or so.

They’ll be young and inexperienced outside of 7, but very talented. Jayce is a baller and can’t be covered at times. Caden Marshall will pick right up where Jawon left. There’s a few more that will help this team a ton. I’m pretty confident in them.

Went well both days. A little rusty on Tuesday, pretty dominant on Thursday. Team has a chance to be pretty special. Just have to build some depth.

They could have it done in a week if pressed. My guess is we’ll practice on it for a week or two before the jamboree. I may be wrong, there’s first times for everything

The Patriots won, what will likely be the last ever regular season game against your Choctaws, (since Dyer Co refused to schedule us after the region shift, even though they were basically begging for a game on social media to fill out their schedule), by hanging half a hundred on them after the DC faithful’s smack talk all week leading up to the game. Oak Ridge will play hard and be very well coached. But Summit is legit, and also very well coached for the most part. There’s other players that can hurt you too, if you only key on Wade(s). I’ll take Summit by two scores.
