North Side did a great job against Dyersburg last Friday. Remember the Indians lost a lot of Seniors, meanwhile for the Trojans, they were pick #3 in the preseason polls. North Side beat Dyersburg by a Touchdown or 2. I believe North Side will be win about 8 to 9 games, and I pick them to win District 15-AA with both Covington and Liberty in it. The Indians will be just fine.

I wanna say JCM played Trinity in the jamboree at Pringles last year, but I don't know for sure.

I know Fulton is the "Favorite" in 4A. Bur I'm really curious to see whats going on in District 15AA. Liberty (Semifinal team lost to Covington), Covington (State Runner-up) and Jackson North Side (5A Semifinal team lost to Beech last year) all in one district. That district would be exciting to watch.

JCM made the worse hire that anyone could possibly make. WHY? well JCM is moving into a district where you have 3 state-semi teams and 1 of them went to Cookville (Liberty, North Side, and Covington are the 3 teams). Hiring a coach that is a position coach is bad, what made it worse is his resume. If Edwards stayed at JCM, IMO i would've put JCM in the hunt for the district title, now? no, not even close. 3 wins in 3 seasons??? JCM football was building momentum into the fall, now, the lost all that momentum. Bad hire.

Yes i did, but here is the deal. Mac is the O-Cord, Ryan Scott is the WR's coach, Tony Bonds is the O-Line coach. On defense, Vowell is the D-Cord and has the linebackers, Turner has the D-Line, and Glover is the backs coach. Glover also helps out with Mac on the offense, so Glover is a coach that can do anything (except for the line) and does a great job doing that. Davis came in mid September and does the Outside Linebackers and Vowell has the Inside Backs. Glover and Vowell do the Special teams. That is basically the coaching staff and what their job is. Glover is in the box doing everything, but most relies on the Safety's/Corners. So Slapper, your right. And I don't believe it when ya'll are saying North Side call JCM and told them to play over at NS. Believe it when I see it.

When Jacobs was at North Side, he called the offense from the sideline, while Mac was in the pressbox. Now Jacobs is at Trenton calling defense, Mac is at North Side calling the offense from the sidelinem and Glover is calling the offense from the pressbox. (Glover was at McNairy Central on the fall of 2011) Mac is the front-runner for the job at JCM. However If the JCM players called Vowell to come to JCM, Vowell will reject the offer quick. But Mac is the front-runner for the job. Basically North Side is now "Tab Vowell University"

If you want a yound, funny, coach. Of course you want him, he seems like Josh Pastner, a coach that can stay at one school for a long period of time.

No, interviews start today or yesterday. So basically no names have floated around yet. JCM will probablt struggle on finding a coach due to where the high school is located in Jackson and the lack of intrest. But whoever is there will get some skill players that are young. Example: Terrance Kinnie, Tydarious Tyson, Malic Clark, Jacob Chandler, Dennis Jones, and Ben Whiclin all class of 2015, and all of them are dangerous playmakers. JCM is a young team.

Of course ya'll want the right hire, but with spring practice coming in a few weeks, all of the coaches are basically set on where they will be this fall. However the only head coach that is out there is Montez Edwards. If not, IMO Shane Jacobs is the person ya'll have to go with for the hire.

I am not associated with Trenton Peabody football. However, I hope the best for them with there coaching search. But time is running out. I would expect there will be a coach at the helm in Trenton, but its not. So its time to just pick a coach and hope for the best. But again, time is running out might half to pick an assisstant, lick your chops and hope for the best.

He would defitnely stay at Liberty, you talking about that building a powerhouse program with consecutive playoffs appearances and is one game shy away from being at Cookville. With the open enrollment of all the high schools, Liberty will be a winner, therefore kids would want to play football for a semi-finalist team. Liberty is a team that will win with Speed, that is how they are going to have to win, by using their speed. I will admit, Peabody does not have the athletics that Liberty has. What about Dan Bland, Jim Glover, or Shane Jacobs as an possibility for the head-coaching job.

There is only 6 schools that are in West Tennessee that are 5A/6A (North Side, Dyer County, Munford, Brighton, Hardin County, Henry County) that are outside of Memphis. The talent is there in the deep playoff run, but what happening isMaryville controls 6A, yes Whitehaven beat them in Cookville, but almost 95% of people consider Maryville going to Cookeville year in and year out. And I will also be honest, if it wasn't for Mark Dodson, Whitehaven would'nt won the state. In 5A, everybody knows Jalen Hurd and Beech will be a huge favorite to win state this fall and roll over teams. And also Jackson-Madison Schools are going open enrollment, that means that kids get to fill out an application and pick what high school they would like to go to. That will hurt North Side, because they can only take a certain amount of students, meanwhile Liberty will get to take more students, and with Liberty being new and everything, a lot of students would like to go to Liberty and compete in the district with North Side and Covington. I honestly think why Tab Vowell's name is on this is because of the word FAMILY. We all know Trenton is an one-city school that supports Peabody very well, with larger boosters etc. You should be at North Side for 1 week in July and 1 week in late September early October. WHY? well its because what Vowell is doing to the kids at North Side outside of coaching. Staying up there til about 7:00 or later and taking kids home. Therefore, I think if Vowell wants to be at Peabody, he should accept the job. Its better for his family and Peabody will win games.

South Side athletic ability will win this game. Hawks by 15.

from a source a couple of days ago. North Side head coach Tab Vowell is interest in the Peabody job. Vowell in his 4 years as the Indians head coach, his record is 34-14, including two 10-0 regular season records (2010 and 2012). In the 4 seasons that Vowell was at helm, the Indians went to the playoffs 3 of the 4 years, and reach the quarterfinals (2010, lost to Memphis Ridgeway) and the semifinals (2012 lost to Beech). He put Adam Craig in as the starting QB as a Freshman, and kept him as a Starting QB since. In my opinion, Adam is the best quarteback in West Tennessee. Shane Jacobs (currently on the Peabody staff) was an assistant coach under Vowell at North Side. However, do not get to excited about the deal, there is a lot of benchmarks that will have to happened in order for Vowell to switch jobs. And also Vowell's wife is currently a principle at North Parkway Middle School.

A- Humboldt and Lake County. AA- South Side AAA- Dyer County and Southwind

Just want to inform that Covington went to Cookeville this year. Liberty played Covington in the semis and Liberty is pretty darn good. North Side played Beech in the semis and was leading Beech 24-14 at the half until the Bucs pulled away. Beech won state and North Side will drop to 4A. Dyersburg went 9-1 in their regular season. Crockett County have always been good, but the Cavs are young and they will explode next year. Lexington is always an 9-1/10-0 team that will make the playoffs, just didn't get it to state. I understand that West TN does not have the State Champions as East TN, but West TN football is bright. North Side, Lexington, Covington, Liberty, Dyersburg, and Crockett County will make noise next year. The only reason why East TN is controlling football is because they are more High Schools in East Tn then West TN. Besides West TN is known for basketball.
