  1. I can see where you are coming from. Because everybody predict Dyersburg and Crockett to be very good team. But I predict one of those teams (IMO Crockett) to be like the Los Angeles Lakers. Good Talent, win will be a struggle.
  2. I apologize I did not know the non-district schedule. Lexington and CPA will both be losses. Huntingdon will be a win. Peabody, I don't know, they got a lot of talent with one of if not the best coaching staff in WTN. Possibly close to 5-5
  3. Crockett County and Dyersburg will battle for the district next year. I predict South Gibson will finish in the 3-7/4-6 area with losses coming to USJ, TCA, and North Side. And if the Hornets can beat Westview and Obion, then you can probably see them in the playoffs as a #8 seed. Basically to summarize SGC season last year, is to give the ball off to Walden and let him run, that is basically it. And when Carlos got hurt in the playoffs, SGC was on panic mode and ended up lossing. Now with Milan, I predict Milan will go 8-2, however they did lose a lot of talent, but with the coaching staff, they will know what to do and expect it out of there players.
  4. So with this, do you believe that Trinity will "just as" or better next year then this year?
  5. I was at the Westwood/TCA game and i did believe Westwood will win that game, by using their size and length. However, Trinity did shoot lights out, but I do not believe they can shoot lights out on Tuesday. In order for Trinity to will the game against BTW, they have got to box out and rebound and be more physical down low in the paint. If not I believe BTW can win the game. I will be very surprise if William Hall scores 25 and Trinity will reach 75 points as a team.
  6. I agree with you, there is not a really powehouse team in West Tennessee. Lexington will prolly be the #1 favorite, but also Crockett County (even though they have had some rough two years lately) I will also put North Side and Liberty, but Jackson-Madison will go open zone next year, so we will see about that. Again Lexington, North Side, Liberty, Dyersburg, Covington as my 4A powerhouse teams.
  7. Totally agree with you TCAIntense. And to everybody else. its weird that South Side have a Mr. Basketball finalist and one of the best sophomores in the state in Hicks (you can put McNeal in the top ten). But terrible coaching. Is it me, or is South Side playing a little P.E. basketball?
  8. Noah, is South Gibson a good team, yes. Will they be a good team next year? NO! (I will say it straight up) South Gibson is not a powerhouse team, because they (the school in general) are to young. You can't predict the future of SGC football, even though Medina is becoming a community and is supporting SGC. Everybody in Jackson, Milan, and in the district hate ya'll. Because a lot of the media are focasing on SGC and not all the other schools, and it is making all the other schools upset.
  9. I understand where you are coming, but I think DC is fine with the result against North Side. North Side is a talented group with speed. Again, I think DC is fine, North Side is a good team.
  10. I agree with you, there are a couple of good teams that are good in West Tennessee, so Milan is not the only good team. You can not really tell a lot from a scrimmage because of players that currently play 2 sports, and that other sport maybe baseball, track, or soccer. And yes there are a lot of good teams that can play football and compete with middle and east Tenn. teams.
  11. devilfanatic what county do you live in?
  12. I agree. Memphis is loaded with talent year in and year out (just look at the players on the U of M team and Jarnell Stokes). That is the reason Memphis is called "Hoop City" Right? Good luck to Blackman because its just going to be 2 or 3 teams from Memphis vs. Blackman.
  13. So you are saying that all the Memphis teams will go up to Dyer County in a sub-state game and automatically lose. Then Dyer County will go to state and lose to Blackman? Even with DC having Robert Hubbs and one of the most intense/idiotic students section?
  14. DISAGREE 110%. you have to relize that Memphis is known for basketball. In Memphis, we GRIT N GRIND! physical toughness, getting the 50/50 balls, hustling hard. West Tennessee will sweep the boys State Tournament. I believe that Dyer County, East, Whitehaven, White Station, and Central will have a chance to will the state in AAA. in AA Jackson South Side will win the state. And in A Trinity Christian and Booker T Washington will have a chance to go to the Murphy Center. Anyways, West Tennessee will win the State in all 3 classifications. MINE AS WELL BRING OUT THE BROOMS!!!
  15. I agree I hope the Vols gets him, and i hope that Butch Jones relize that he is #1 overall protential in the NFL draft. Alabama doesn't want to be a running back, so Jalen Hurd doesn't want to go there. He have offers from about 15+ Big D1 Schools (he is only a Junior) and he has an invation to the US Army showcase game on Jan.4, 2014 on NBC. Meanwhile, on the CA part, i knew those kids were in trouble and need help. Honestly, i did not know that ya'll did that, as far as gifts and support. I know a lot of teams does not want to play CA because its a practice scrimmage. But ya'll guys played them and showed support. I always have respect with TCA because I was attending a middle school game against Northeast at Trinity, and after the boys game, I was kinda following this player who told that Trinity was one of his High School choice. And I kinda was still following him and talking to him and everytime as i talk to the player, there was someone that wearing TCA gear, interrupting our talk and telling the NE kid a good game, giving him high-5's, and all the players gave him handshakes and all the TCA middle school cheerleaders gave him a hug and telling him good game. That is why i give a lot of respect to Trinity and everything that supports the school as in the athletics dept, etc.. (I apologize for telling you a story)
  16. That is the part i absolutely agree with you. TCA have the best freshmen and South Side have the best Sophomores in West Tennessee. Honestly, I am assuming that you get to what I am saying, instead of playing Carroll Academy, play Bolivar or Liberty, it helps with both boys and girls teams, because they players are getting better. I believe that TCA will have a chance to get to state this year, not next year, but the 2 years after when those Freshmens are becoming Juniors and Seniors. I just hope that this happens. And meanwhile, on the USJ FB scenario. I don't think that USJ can hang around with teams like North Side, Liberty, Lexington, Milan, and Memphis Ridgeway etc. And the reason why I say that is because USJ scored 19 points against South Side, and North Side scored 42 points in the 1st half against South Side. I am also looking forward with the TCA vs USJ FB game, because of the great young athletics that TCA have in both basketball and football (and maybe baseball). And really do think that TCA can beat USJ. Meanwhile my team is North Side.
  17. So do you think South Side and Arlington will meet up with Arlington having 2.315 students, and South Side has 797 students? According to you that will not happened year in and year out, but it happened this year, and believe it or not South Side beat Arlington on Dec. 8 62-61. Pretty sure they will meet up again next year. Earlier in the season, JCS played Hardin County. JCS have 255 students, Hardin Co. has 1,123. Hardin County end up winning that game by 21, and TCA beat JCS by 19. So why not play Hardin County? And why are you playing Chester County (810 students) and not South Side (797 students)? When you said that you can not compete with a team that have 200+ students in a class. But TCA have played Chester County 3 years straight. I am not saying that you should play teams like Hardin County, North Side, South Side, Dyer County, and Bolivar year in and year out. Teams that have a higher enrollment, but also are better then TCA. Trinity does have talent, no guarentee about that, but I rather have my team 18-9 and play tough opponets, teams that challenge you and get you ready for tournament time. Instead of being 22-4 and played Milan and Carroll Academy with they combine with 5 wins, and that does not really get TCA any better.
  18. I am literally laughing at what TCAIntense just post. Now I am comparing to the USJ football team, its because TCA men's basketball team and the USJ football teams non-district schedules are absolutely weak. Here is why. TCA record is 22-4, but if anybody regonize who they play, its terrible! I looked at the TCA schedule to see how many "big wins" they have, and they do not have a big win, so in my opinion, they are NOT a state-tournament team. TCA non-district schedule includes the following 6 teams: Clarksburg, Chester County, West Carroll, Milan, Madison, and Carroll Academy. Those 6 teams have a combine record of 36-115. THAT IS TERRIBLE!!! If I was the TCA men basketball coach, I would challenge my boys. Therefore, I would schedule the following 6 teams: North Side, South Side; Liberty, Fayette-Ware, Dyer County, and Hardin County, for next year, so I can say good bye to those EASY teams. Those 6 I just listed have a combine record of 117-34. Everybody wants to give TCA a lot of credit because they are 22-4, but does anybody recgonize who they play? NOBODY. And also the reason why I compare TCA to the USJ football teams is because both teams gives credit for playing EASY TEAMS. But everybody knows if USJ plays a football team like North Side, North Side will win by 42 points guarenteed. So that is why USJ does not want to play the hard teams that actually challenge your team. And I hope TCA will play harder/tougher/more physical opponets in the near future. TCA has no room to talk when it comes out to the non-district games.
  19. I don't think it was the player from Haywood County. I believe it was the players from Brighton and Munford. And the reason why I say that is because i am pretty sure that the distance from Haywood County and Covington are 20+ miles. And the difference between Munford and Brighton are 1-2 miles, and from Brighton to Covington is 6-9 miles.
  20. I got a question that does not involve the site of district/regional. But is TCA physical? Can they win against guys that are a little tougher and more physical then them (TCA)?
  21. Best Center in the NBA. I know people are going to argue with me because Dwight Howard is also in the mention. But Marc scored 27 points in a comeback with for the Grizzlies in Philadelphia last night. Dwight Howard will quit if Los Angeles Lakers were down by 15+ points. Marc have a better jump shot then Dwight. Marc IS the best passer in the NBA by a Center. And Marc is shooting about 90% Free-Throws (leads NBA Centers.) Also Marc was an all-star.
  22. I hope the next coach at Munford will have a successful carrer there. Munfors will be in a district with Hardin Co., Dyer Co., and Brighton. (Jackson North Side will be dropping to 4A next year) Great venue, fans, and players. If Munford gets a good coach, they turn into a program.
  23. Penny Hardaway, Shawn Marion, and Marc Gasol are my votes for the best basketball players in Tennessee.
  24. Sylvester Gray, Ronald Jones, Penny Hardaway, Stanley Caldwell, Tony Delk, Cameron Crisp, Terrico White, John Jenkins, M.J. Brown, Joe Jackson, Reginald Bucker, Andre Allen, Jewaun Long, Willie Kemp. Did anybody mention Marc Gasol??? I believe he is better then David Vaughn.
