  1. Schools choose to be a part of the TSSAA. They can choose not to be a member, and not play in the TSSAA playoffs, and broadcast however they choose.
  2. Sumner County is open enrollment. Also my understanding is that Westmoreland has had homeschool kids playing on their athletic teams the last few years.
  3. Six underdogs. IMO three should be favorites and three are more like pick ums. On the favorite side 5 or 6 are really pick ums. I could be out of the top 20 by midnight!
  4. Yep. Turns into a crap shoot for many games from here on out. Gets down to a turnover here or there and there is no way to predict that.
  5. I felt like Nolensville was a solid favorite. I wondered what happened. Makes sense now. Good luck to all the prognosticators!
  6. Watertown takes this first round matchup.
  7. London is well known for its footballers.
  8. 1. Marion and Smith/York in a dead heat for 2 in the East. It wouldn’t surprise me to see these east bracket teams upset in the early rounds by a physical, less talented team though.
  9. Huntingdon and Riverside top two in my opinion.
  10. Thanks fellas! I enjoyed the race and banter. Y’all are some good pickers and good luck in the post season!
  11. Should be easy to coach him up in a couple of days.
  12. From an outsider, your responses on this thread seem logical and reasonable.
  13. I haven’t had the opportunity to see Watertown this year, but did a few years ago. You guys had talent all over the field. Most games it wouldn’t have mattered who your coaches were, except when you were playing Trousdale or out of region. Appears that’s a different situation now.
  14. I would have went with Alcoa. One large dog this week.
  15. I have no issue with schools playing within the rules set forth. That being said, some posters want to promote the idea that some schools don’t have advantages as a result of these rules, which is asinine. Schools that gain athletes from larger schools have an advantage. That’s just indisputable common sense. Furthermore, stating the only out of zone kids that have played sports at Watertown (or any other school that’s an open zoned school) had a “hardship, past issues or academics” you are either being disingenuous or haven’t been involved with the inner workings of high school sports and are just simply naive to the truth.
  16. Watertown is in an open zoned county as well, much like Putnam. Nice effort though.
  17. There isn’t much doubt about which one of those programs has been the strongest.
  18. I imagine this game will be very similar to the Westmoreland- Macon score.
  19. The east appears to be very weak in 2A. I haven’t seen Marion or upper East but have seen York, Smith, and East Robertson and several others. I would say York has a slight advantage over Smith.
