  1. I'm thinking Springfield......but it's a toss up with PC
  2. B Sat has a farm and house in Trousdale. Long drive to Sparta Daily
  3. Trust me, the pipeline is far from.being cut off. Best two kids from "Cookeville" play at BGA and Baylor.
  4. UHS has won 7 straight regional championships. 4 semifinals. The talent didn't start with this senior class and won't end with this senior class.
  5. Why in the world would Caine jump ship to take it?
  6. Eventually 2 more.....but the first one is at least 3-4 years out. Second one would be 10 or more years down the road. Cumberland Co might have a 3rd HS by the time Putnam gets a 5th HS.
  7. U would say that might change. Most those high ranked qbs are only football players doing travel 7 on 7 and camps. I think Chaffin just touched the surface of going to camps. You can't teach 6'5 225. People are starting to discover him.
  8. It pays for itself in the long run. In other news, seen where Virgina Tech offered the Chaffin kid. Hearing Georgia Tech is not far behind and will offer. Looks like the bog boys finally realized who he is.
  9. 1 new HS schefuled in 3-4 years. On the White County side of Cookeville. It will essentially split the Cookeville HS school population from 2200 to two schools of 1100. Probably like two 1250 by the time they build it.
  10. That is if Chaffin isn't an early enrolle in January to the college he committs to in football. Lots of programs require it for players, especially QBs.
  11. True. Had a fan on here saying UHS could never win state in Boys Basketball or Football. Looks like part of that narrative has changed
  12. State championship in basketball......only football is left. Could 2025 be the year?
  13. When win loss records mean more than how far you get in the playoffs. It's an easier path for coaches unfortunately
  14. Those 4 teams were traditional power programs but have all fell off in recent years. Just as how Trousdale was dropped in previous rescheduling.
  15. What I seen was Brutal. One of the hardest, if not the hardest regions in 4a in the state. 3rd place team in the region, Macon, won the 4a title. Only 4 home games in 2025. Out of confrence schedule Knoxville Webb Farragut Greenville York Inst Beech
  16. Upperman beatdiwn of Stone by 17. Cobb 31 points. The glitch was Stewarts Creek where the whole team was riddle with the flu. They just might be best in 3a
  17. Agree. This bennifits open zoned counties. Still can't cross county or district lines without space and schools approval, but for 1 move, you don't have to sit for a year.
  18. And what is amazing, there was still more talent walking the hallways. The football program was new at winning big. Still was considered a baseball and basketball school. Alot of the Jr high football talent only played baseball, basketball, or basketball abd baseball. That group went to state round robin in baseball spring of 2013, semi's in football fall of 2013, and the state basketball tournement in 2014. Was a great class of kids. Loaded with size, speed, numbers.
  19. Rep. Scott Cepicky, R-Culleoka, proposed a bill this week that would force the Tennessee high school athletics governing body to change its bylaws and allow athletes one free transfer without eligibility restrictions. Cepicky’s House Bill No. 0025 would make it illegal for a public school to belong to an interscholastic athletic association that restricts eligibility in that way. HB0025 is written to allow a free one-time transfer without restriction. The TSSAA’s current eligibility rules would apply to all transfers after that. “(Other) courts have already ruled, with the transfer portal in college, that prohibiting an athlete from moving school to school is against the law,” Cepicky said. “I think what we're doing is trying to preempt the Wild West (of unlimited transfer legislation) by saying we acknowledge one time is fair. Hopefully, that will be enough that it will stand up in court
